| Genesis 4:1 | And Adam knew Eve his wife: who conceived and brought forth Cain, saying: I have gotten a man through God. | And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. | |
| Genesis 4:2 | And again she brought forth his brother Abel. And Abel was a shepherd, and Cain a husbandman. | And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. | |
| Genesis 4:3 | And it came to pass after many days, that Cain offered, of the fruits of the earth, gifts to the Lord. | And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. | |
