| Deuteronomy 21:1 | Then there shall be found in the land, which the Lord thy God will give thee, the corpse of a man slain, and it is not known who is guilty of the murder, | If one be found slain in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him: | If one be found slain in the land which Yahweh your God gives you to possess it, lying in the field, and it isn't known who has struck him; |
| Deuteronomy 21:2 | Thy ancients and judges shall go out, and shall measure from the place where the body lieth the distance of every city round about: | Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain: | then your elders and your judges shall come forth, and they shall measure to the cities which are round about him who is slain: |
| Deuteronomy 21:3 | And the ancients of that city which they shall perceive to be nearer than the rest, shall take a heifer of the herd, that hath not drawn in the yoke, nor ploughed the ground, | And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke; | and it shall be, that the city which is nearest to the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take a heifer of the herd, which hasn't been worked with, and which has not drawn in the yoke; |
| Deuteronomy 21:4 | And they shall bring her into a rough and stony valley, that never was ploughed, nor sown: and there they shall strike off the head of the heifer: | And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer's neck there in the valley: | and the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer to a valley with running water, which is neither plowed nor sown, and shall break the heifer's neck there in the valley. |
| Deuteronomy 21:5 | And the priests the sons of Levi shall come, whom the Lord thy God hath chosen to minister to him, and to bless in his name, and that by their word every matter should be decided, and whatsoever is clean or unclean should be judged. | And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried: | The priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them Yahweh your God has chosen to minister to him, and to bless in the name of Yahweh; and according to their word shall every controversy and every stroke be. |
| Deuteronomy 21:6 | And the ancients of that city shall come to the person slain, and shall wash their hands over the heifer that was killed in the valley, | And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley: | All the elders of that city, who are nearest to the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley; |

| Deuteronomy 21:8 | Be merciful to thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, O Lord, and lay not innocent blood to their charge, in the midst of thy people Israel. And the guilt of blood shall be taken from them: | Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel's charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them. | Forgive, Yahweh, your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, and don't allow innocent blood [to remain] in the midst of your people Israel. The blood shall be forgiven them. |
| Deuteronomy 21:9 | And thou shalt be free from the innocent's blood, that was shed, when thou shalt have done what the Lord hath commanded thee. | So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD. | So shall you put away the innocent blood from the midst of you, when you shall do that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh. |
