Matthew 17:16 | Then Jesus answered and said: O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? For, amen I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove from hence hither, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you. | Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? | Then the disciples, coming to Jesus apart, said [to him], Why were not *we* able to cast him out? |
Matthew 17:20 | But this kind is not cast out but by prayer and fasting. | And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say to you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you. | And he says to them, Because of your unbelief; for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard [seed], ye shall say to this mountain, Be transported hence there, and it shall transport itself; and nothing shall be impossible to you. |
Matthew 17:21 | And when they abode together in Galilee, Jesus said to them: The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: | However, this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting. | But this kind does not go out but by prayer and fasting. |

The kings of the earth, of whom do they receive tribute or custom? of their own children, or of strangers? | And when they had come to Capernaum, they that received tribute-money, came to Peter, and said, Doth not your Master pay tribute? | And when they came to Capernaum, those who received the didrachmas came to Peter and said, Does your teacher not pay the didrachmas? |

And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? from whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? from their own children, or from strangers? | He says, Yes. And when he came into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, What dost thou think, Simon? the kings of the earth, from whom do they receive custom or tribute? from their own sons or from strangers? |
Matthew 17:26 | But that we may not scandalize them, go to the sea, and cast in a hook: and that fish which shall first come up, take: and when thou hast opened its mouth, thou shalt find a stater: take that, and give it to them for me and thee. | Peter saith to him, From strangers.
