Hebrews 10:1For the law having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very image of the things; by the selfsame sacrifices which they offer continually every year, can never make the comers thereunto perfect:For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers to them perfect.For the law having a shadow of the coming good things not the very image of the matters, every year, by the same sacrifices that they offer continually, is never able to make perfect those coming near,
Hebrews 10:2For then they would have ceased to be offered: because the worshippers once cleansed should have no conscience of sin any longer:For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshipers once cleansed, would have had no more conscience of sins.since, would they not have ceased to be offered, because of those serving having no more conscience of sins, having once been purified?
Hebrews 10:3But in them there is made a commemoration of sins every year.But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.but in those [sacrifices] is a remembrance of sins every year,
Hebrews 10:4For it is impossible that with the blood of oxen and goats sin should be taken away.For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.for it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
Hebrews 10:5Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith: Sacrifice and oblation thou wouldest not: but a body thou hast fitted to me:Wherefore, when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldst not, but a body hast thou prepared me:Wherefore, coming into the world, he saith, `Sacrifice and offering Thou didst not will, and a body Thou didst prepare for me,
Hebrews 10:6Holocausts for sin did not please thee.In burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.in burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offerings, Thou didst not delight,
Hebrews 10:7Then said I: Behold I come: in the head of the book it is written of me: that I should do thy will, O God.Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written concerning me,) to do thy will, O God.then I said, Lo, I come, (in a volume of the book it hath been written concerning me,) to do, O God, Thy will;`
Hebrews 10:8In saying before, Sacrifices, and oblations, and holocausts for sin thou wouldest not, neither are they pleasing to thee, which are offered according to the law.Above, when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt-offerings and offering for sin thou wouldst not, neither hadst pleasure in them; which are offered by the law;saying above `Sacrifice, and offering, and burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offering Thou didst not will, nor delight in,` which according to the law are offered
Hebrews 10:9Then said I: Behold, I come to do thy will, O God: he taketh away the first, that he may establish that which followeth.Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.then he said, `Lo, I come to do, O God, Thy will;` he doth take away the first that the second he may establish;
Hebrews 10:10In the which will, we are sanctified by the oblation of the body of Jesus Christ once.By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.in the which will we are having been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once,
Hebrews 10:11And every priest indeed standeth daily ministering, and often offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:and every priest, indeed, hath stood daily serving, and the same sacrifices many times offering, that are never able to take away sins.
Hebrews 10:12But this man offering one sacrifice for sins, for ever sitteth on the right hand of God,But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, for ever sat down on the right hand of God;And He, for sin one sacrifice having offered to the end, did sit down on the right hand of God,
Hebrews 10:13From henceforth expecting, until his enemies be made his footstool.From henceforth waiting till his enemies are made his footstool.as to the rest, expecting till He may place his enemies [as] his footstool,
Hebrews 10:14For by one oblation he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.for by one offering he hath perfected to the end those sanctified;
Hebrews 10:15And the Holy Ghost also doth testify this to us. For after that he said:Of this the Holy Spirit also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,and testify to us also doth the Holy Spirit, for after that He hath said before,
Hebrews 10:16And this is the testament which I will make unto them after those days, saith the Lord. I will give my laws in their hearts, and on their minds will I write them:This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;`This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, giving My laws on their hearts, and upon their minds I will write them,`
Hebrews 10:17And their sins and iniquities I will remember no more.And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.and `their sins and their lawlessness I will remember no more;`
Hebrews 10:18Now where there is a remission of these, there is no more an oblation for sin.Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.and where forgiveness of these [is], there is no more offering for sin.
Hebrews 10:19Having therefore, brethren, a confidence in the entering into the holies by the blood of Christ;Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,Having, therefore, brethren, boldness for the entrance into the holy places, in the blood of Jesus,
Hebrews 10:20A new and living way which he hath dedicated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh,By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the vail, that is to say, his flesh;which way he did initiate for us new and living, through the vail, that is, his flesh
Hebrews 10:21And a high priest over the house of God:And having a high priest over the house of God;and a high priest over the house of God,
Hebrews 10:22Let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with clean water.Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.may we draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having the hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having the body bathed with pure water;
Hebrews 10:23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering (for he is faithful that hath promised),Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised:may we hold fast the unwavering profession of the hope, (for faithful [is] He who did promise),
Hebrews 10:24And let us consider one another, to provoke unto charity and to good works:And let us consider one another to excite to love and to good works:and may we consider one another to provoke to love and to good works,
Hebrews 10:25Not forsaking our assembly, as some are accustomed; but comforting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as a custom of certain [is], but exhorting, and so much the more as ye see the day coming nigh.
Hebrews 10:26For if we sin wilfully after having the knowledge of the truth, there is now left no sacrifice for sins,For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,For we willfully sinning after the receiving the full knowledge of the truth no more for sins doth there remain a sacrifice,
Hebrews 10:27But a certain dreadful expectation of judgment, and the rage of a fire which shall consume the adversaries.But a certain fearful apprehension of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.but a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and fiery zeal, about to devour the opposers;
Hebrews 10:28A man making void the law of Moses, dieth without any mercy under two or three witnesses:He that despised Moses' law, died without mercy under two or three witnesses:any one who did set at nought a law of Moses, apart from mercies, by two or three witnesses, doth die,
Hebrews 10:29How much more, do you think he deserveth worse punishments, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath esteemed the blood of the testament unclean, by which he was sanctified, and hath offered an affront to the Spirit of grace?Of how much more severe punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, by which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite to the Spirit of grace?of how much sorer punishment shall he be counted worthy who the Son of God did trample on, and the blood of the covenant did count a common thing, in which he was sanctified, and to the Spirit of the grace did despite?
Hebrews 10:30For we know him that hath said: Vengeance belongeth to me, and I will repay. And again: The Lord shall judge his people.For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth to me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord will judge his people.for we have known Him who is saying, `Vengeance [is] Mine, I will recompense, saith the Lord;` and again, `The Lord shall judge His people;`
Hebrews 10:31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.fearful [is] the falling into the hands of a living God.
Hebrews 10:32But call to mind the former days, wherein, being illuminated, you endured a great fight of afflictions.But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;And call to your remembrance the former days, in which, having been enlightened, ye did endure much conflict of sufferings,
Hebrews 10:33And on the one hand indeed, by reproaches and tribulations, were made a gazingstock; and on the other, became companions of them that were used in such sort.Partly, while ye were made a gazing-stock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, while ye became companions of them that were so used.partly both with reproaches and tribulations being made spectacles, and partly having become partners of those so living,
Hebrews 10:34For you both had compassion on them that were in bands, and took with joy the being stripped of your own goods, knowing that you have a better and a lasting substance.For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the seizing of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.for also with my bonds ye sympathised, and the robbery of your goods with joy ye did receive, knowing that ye have in yourselves a better substance in the heavens, and an enduring one.
Hebrews 10:35Do not therefore lose your confidence, which hath a great reward.Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.Ye may not cast away, then, your boldness, which hath great recompense of reward,
Hebrews 10:36For patience is necessary for you; that, doing the will of God, you may receive the promise.For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.for of patience ye have need, that the will of God having done, ye may receive the promise,
Hebrews 10:37For yet a little and a very little while, and he that is to come, will come, and will not delay.For yet a little while, and he that is coming will come, and will not tarry.for yet a very very little, He who is coming will come, and will not tarry;
Hebrews 10:38But my just man liveth by faith; but if he withdraw himself, he shall not please my soul.Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man shall draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.and `the righteous by faith shall live,` and `if he may draw back, My soul hath no pleasure in him,`
Hebrews 10:39But we are not the children of withdrawing unto perdition, but of faith to the saving of the soul.But we are not of them who draw back to perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.and we are not of those drawing back to destruction, but of those believing to a preserving of soul.
