For doing these things, you shall not sin at any time. | For this reason, brethren, be all the more in earnest to make sure that God has called you and chosen you; for it is certain that so long as you practise these things, you will never stumble. | Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never stumble: |

| 2nd-Peter 1:12 | For which cause I will begin to put you always in remembrance of these things: though indeed you know them, and are confirmed in the present truth. | For this reason I shall always persist in reminding you of these things, although you know them and are stedfast believers in truth which you already possess. | Wherefore I shall be ready always to put you in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the truth which is with [you]. |

| 2nd-Peter 1:16 | For we have not by following artificial fables, made known to you the power, and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ; but we were eyewitnesses of his greatness. | For when we made known to you the power and Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we were not eagerly following cleverly devised legends, but we had been eye-witnesses of His majesty. | For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. |

| 2nd-Peter 1:19 | And we have the more firm prophetical word: whereunto you do well to attend, as to a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: | And in the written word of prophecy we have something more permanent; to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dimly-lighted place until day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. | And we have the word of prophecy [made] more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts: |
