Leviticus 27:1 | And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: | | And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, |
Leviticus 27:2 | Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man that shall have made a vow, and promised his soul to God, shall give the price according to estimation. | | Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When any one devoteth [anything] by a vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah according to thy valuation. |
Leviticus 27:3 | If it be a man from twenty years old unto sixty years old, he shall give fifty sides of silver, after the weight of the sanctuary: | | And thy valuation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old: thy valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary; |
Leviticus 27:4 | If a woman, thirty. | | and if it be of a female, thy valuation shall be thirty shekels. |
Leviticus 27:5 | But from the fifth year until the twentieth, a man shall give twenty sicles: a woman ten. | | And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, thy valuation of the male shall be twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels. |
Leviticus 27:6 | From one month until the fifth year. for a male shall be given five sides: for a female three. | | And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, thy valuation of the male shall be five shekels of silver; and for the female thy valuation shall be three shekels of silver. |
Leviticus 27:7 | A man that is sixty years old or upward, shall give fifteen aisles: a woman ten. | | And if it be from sixty years old and above, if it be a male, thy valuation shall be fifteen shekels; and for the female ten shekels. |
Leviticus 27:8 | If he be poor, and not able to pay tile estimation, he shall stand before tile priest: and as much as he shall value him at, and see him able to pay, so much shall he give. | | And if he be poorer than thy valuation, he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him: according to his means that vowed shall the priest value him. |
Leviticus 27:9 | But a beast that may be sacrificed to the Lord, if ally one shall vow, shall be holy, | | And if it be a beast whereof men bring an offering unto Jehovah, all that they give of such unto Jehovah shall be holy. |
Leviticus 27:10 | And cannot be changed, that is to say, neither a better for a worse, nor a worse for a better. And if he shall change it: both that which was changed, and that for which it was changed, shall be consecrated to the Lord. | | They shall not alter it nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good; and if he at all change beast for beast, then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy. |
Leviticus 27:11 | An unclean beast, which cannot be sacrificed to the Lord, if my man shall vow, shall be brought before the priest: | | And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not bring an offering unto Jehovah, then he shall present the beast before the priest; |
Leviticus 27:12 | Who judging whether it be good or bad, shall set the price: | | and the priest shall value it, [judging] between good and bad: according to the valuation of the priest, so shall it be. |
Leviticus 27:13 | Which if he that offereth it will give, he shall add above the estimation the fifth part. | | And if they will in any wise redeem it, then they shall add a fifth [part] thereof unto thy valuation. |
Leviticus 27:14 | If a man shall vow his house, and sanctify it to the Lord, the priest shall consider it, whether it be good or bad, and it shall be sold according to the price, which he shall appoint. | | And when any one halloweth his house, that it may be holy to Jehovah, the priest shall value it, [judging] between good and bad: as the priest shall value it, so shall it stand. |
Leviticus 27:15 | But if he that vowed, will redeem it, he shall give the fifth part of the estimation over and above, and shall have the house. | | And if he that halloweth it will redeem his house, he shall add the fifth of the money of thy valuation unto it, and it shall be his. |
Leviticus 27:16 | And if he vow the field of his possession, and consecrate it to the Lord, the price shall be rated according to the measure of the seed. If the ground be sowed with thirty bushels of barley, let it be sold for fifty sides of silver. | | And if a man hallow to Jehovah [part] of a field of his possession, thy valuation shall be according to what may be sown in it: the homer of barley seed at fifty shekels of silver. |
Leviticus 27:17 | If he vow his field immediately from the year of jubilee that is beginning, as much as it may be worth, at so much it shall be rated. | | If he hallow his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy valuation shall it stand; |
Leviticus 27:18 | But if some time after, the priest shall reckon the money according to the number of years that remain until the jubilee, and the price shall be abated. | | but if he hallow his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, until the year of the jubilee; and there shall be a reduction from thy valuation. |
Leviticus 27:19 | And if he that had vowed, will redeem his field, he shall add the fifth part of the money of the estimation, and shall possess it. | | And if he that hallowed the field will in any wise redeem it, he shall add the fifth of the money of thy valuation unto it, and it shall be assured to him; |
Leviticus 27:20 | And if he will not redeem it, but it be sold to any other man, he that vowed it, may not redeem it any more: | | but if he do not redeem the field, or if he sell the field to another man, it cannot be redeemed any more; |
Leviticus 27:21 | For when the day of jubilee cometh, it shall be sanctified to the Lord, and as a possession consecrated, pertaineth to the right of the priests. | | and the field, when it goeth out in the jubilee, shall be holy to Jehovah, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest's. |
Leviticus 27:22 | If a field that was bought, and not of a man's ancestors' possession, be sanctified to the Lord, | | And if he hallow to Jehovah a field that he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession, |
Leviticus 27:23 | The priest shall reckon the price according to the number of years: unto the jubilee: and he that had vowed, shall give that to the Lord. | | the priest shall reckon unto him the amount of thy valuation, unto the year of the jubilee; and he shall give thy valuation on that day, [as] holy to Jehovah. |
Leviticus 27:24 | But in the jubilee, it shall return to the former owner, who had sold it, and had it in the lot of his possession. | | In the year of the jubilee the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought to him to whom the land belonged. |
Leviticus 27:25 | All estimation shall be made according to the side of the sanctuary. A sicle hath twenty obols. | | And all thy valuation shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel. |
Leviticus 27:26 | The firstborn, which belong to the Lord, no man may sanctify and vow: whether it be bullock, or sheep, they are the Lord's. | | Only the firstling which is offered as firstling to Jehovah among the cattle, that shall no man hallow, whether it be ox or sheep; it is Jehovah's. |
Leviticus 27:27 | And if it be an unclean beast, he that offereth it shall redeem it, according to thy estimation, and shall add the fifth part of the price. If he will not redeem it, it shall be sold to another for how much soever it was estimated by thee. | | But if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall ransom it according to thy valuation, and shall add a fifth of it thereto; and if it be not redeemed, it shall be sold according to thy valuation. |
Leviticus 27:28 | Any thing that is devoted to the Lord, whether it be man, or beast, or field, shall not be sold, neither may it be redeemed. Whatsoever is once consecrated shall be holy of holies to the Lord. | | Notwithstanding, no devoted thing that a man hath devoted to Jehovah of all that he hath, of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy to Jehovah. |
Leviticus 27:29 | And any consecration that is offered by man, shall not be redeemed, but dying shall die. | | Nothing devoted, which shall be devoted from among men, shall be ransomed: it shall certainly be put to death. |
Leviticus 27:30 | All tithes of the land, whether of corn, or of the fruits of trees, are the Lord's, and are sanctified to him. | | And as to every tithe of the land, of the seed of the land, and of the fruit of the tree, it is Jehovah's: it is holy to Jehovah. |
Leviticus 27:31 | And if any man will redeem his tithes, he shall add the fifth part of them. | | And if any one will at all redeem of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth thereof. |
Leviticus 27:32 | Of all the tithes of oxen, and sheep, and goats, that pass under the shepherd's rod, every tenth that cometh shall be sanctified to the Lord. | | And as to every tithe of the herd, or of the flock, of whatever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to Jehovah. |
Leviticus 27:33 | It shall not be chosen neither good nor bad, neither shall it be changed for another. If any man change it: both that which was changed, and that for which it was changed, shall be sanctified to the Lord, and shall not be redeemed. | | He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it; and if he change it at all, then both it and the exchange thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed. |
Leviticus 27:34 | These are the precepts which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai. | | These are the commandments which Jehovah commanded Moses for the children of Israel upon mount Sinai. |
