| Numbers 15:1 | And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: | | And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, |
| Numbers 15:2 | Speak to the children of Israel and thou shalt say to them: When you shall be come into the land of your habitation, which I will give you, | | Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of your dwellings, which I give unto you, |
| Numbers 15:3 | And shall make an offering to the Lord, for a holocaust, or a victim, paying your vows, or voluntarily offering gifts, or in your solemnities burning a sweet savour unto the Lord, of oxen or of sheep: | | and will make an offering by fire to Jehovah, a burnt-offering or a sacrifice for the performance of a vow, or as a voluntary offering, or in your set feasts, to make a sweet odour to Jehovah, of the herd or of the flock, |
| Numbers 15:4 | Whosoever immolateth the victim, shall offer a sacrifice of fine flour, the tenth part of an ephi, tempered with the fourth part of a hin of oil: | | then shall he that presenteth his offering to Jehovah bring as oblation a tenth part of fine flour mingled with a fourth part of a hin of oil; |
| Numbers 15:5 | And he shall give the same measure of wine to pour out in libations for the holocaust or for the victim. For every lamb, | | and of wine for a drink-offering shalt thou offer the fourth part of a hin with the burnt-offering, or with the sacrifice, for one lamb. |
| Numbers 15:6 | And for every ram there shall be a sacrifice of hour of two tenths, which shall be tempered with the third part of a hin of oil: | | And for a ram thou shalt offer as oblation two tenth parts of fine flour mingled with oil, a third part of a hin, |
| Numbers 15:7 | And he shall offer the third part of the same measure of wine for the libation, for a sweet savour to the Lord. | | and of wine for a drink-offering shalt thou offer the third part of a hin; for a sweet odour to Jehovah. |
| Numbers 15:8 | But when thou offerest a holocaust or sacrifice of oxen, to fulfil thy vow or for victims of peace offerings, | | And when thou offerest a bullock for a burnt-offering, or a sacrifice for the performance of a vow, or for a peace-offering to Jehovah, |
| Numbers 15:9 | Thou shalt give for every ox three tenths of flour tempered with half a hin of oil, | | then shall they present with the bullock as oblation three tenth parts of fine flour mingled with half a hin of oil; |
| Numbers 15:10 | And wine for libations of the same measure, for an offering of most sweet savour to the Lord. | | and of wine shalt thou present half a hin, for a drink-offering, as an offering by fire, of a sweet odour to Jehovah. |
| Numbers 15:11 | Thus shalt thou do | | Thus shall it be done for one ox, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or for a kid; |
| Numbers 15:12 | For every ox and ram and lamb and kid. | | according to the number that ye offer, so shall ye do to every one according to their number. |
| Numbers 15:13 | Both they that are born in the land, and the strangers | | And all that are born in the land shall do these things thus, in presenting an offering by fire of a sweet odour to Jehovah. |
| Numbers 15:14 | Shall offer sacrifices after the same rite. | | And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whoever be among you throughout your generations, and will offer an offering by fire of a sweet odour to Jehovah, as ye do, so shall he do. |
| Numbers 15:15 | There shall be all one law and judgment both for you and for them who are strangers in the land. | | As to the congregation, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an everlasting statute throughout your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be, before Jehovah. |
| Numbers 15:16 | And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: | | One law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you. |
| Numbers 15:17 | Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: | | And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, |
| Numbers 15:18 | When you are come into the land which I will give you, | | Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you, |
| Numbers 15:19 | And shall eat of the bread of that country, you shall separate firstfruits to the Lord, | | then it shall be, when ye eat of the bread of the land, that ye shall offer a heave-offering to Jehovah; |
| Numbers 15:20 | Of the things you eat. As you separate firstfruits of your barnfloors: | | the first of your dough shall ye offer, a cake, for a heave-offering; as the heave-offering of the threshing-floor, so shall ye offer this. |
| Numbers 15:21 | So also shall you give firstfruits of your dough to the Lord. | | Of the first of your dough ye shall give to Jehovah a heave-offering throughout your generations. |
| Numbers 15:22 | And if through ignorance you omit any of these things, which the Lord hath spoken to Moses, | | And if ye sin inadvertently, and do not all these commandments, which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses, |
| Numbers 15:23 | And by him hath commanded you, from the day that he began to command and thenceforward, | | all that Jehovah hath commanded you through Moses, from the day that Jehovah gave commandment, and henceforward throughout your generations; |
| Numbers 15:24 | And the multitude have forgotten to do it: they shall offer a calf out of the herd, a holocaust for a most sweet savour to the Lord, and the sacrifice and libations thereof, as the ceremonies require, and a buck goat for sin: | | then it shall be, if ought be committed by inadvertence [hid] from the eyes of the assembly, that the whole assembly shall offer one young bullock for a burnt-offering, for a sweet odour to Jehovah, and its oblation and its drink-offering according to the ordinance, and one buck of the goats for a sin-offering. |
| Numbers 15:25 | And the priest shall pray for all the multitude of the children of Israel: and it shall be forgiven them, because they sinned ignorantly, offering notwithstanding a burnt offering to the Lord for themselves and for their sin and their ignorance: | | And the priest shall make atonement for the whole assembly of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it was a sin of inadvertence, and they have brought before Jehovah their offering, as an offering by fire to Jehovah, and their sin-offering for their [sin of] inadvertence; |
| Numbers 15:26 | And it shall be forgiven all the people of the children of Israel: and the strangers that sojourn among them: because it is the fault of all the people through ignorance. | | and it shall be forgiven the whole assembly of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; for with all the people there was [a sin of] inadvertence. |
| Numbers 15:27 | But if one soul shall sin ignorantly, he shall offer a she goat of a year old for his sin. | | And if one soul sin through inadvertence, then he shall present a yearling she-goat for a sin-offering. |
| Numbers 15:28 | And the priest shall pray for him, because he sinned ignorantly before the Lord: and he shall obtain his pardon, and it shall be forgiven him. | | And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that hath done inadvertently, when he sinneth by inadvertence before Jehovah, to make atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him. |
| Numbers 15:29 | The same law shall be for all that sin by ignorance, whether they be natives or strangers. | | For him that is born in the land among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them there shall be one law for you, for him who doeth anything through inadvertence. |
| Numbers 15:30 | But the soul that committeth any thing through pride, whether he be born in the land or a stranger (because he hath been rebellious against the Lord) shall be cut off from among his people: | | But the soul that doeth ought with a high hand, whether born in the land, or a stranger, he reproacheth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. |
| Numbers 15:31 | For he hath contemned the word the Lord, and made void his precept: therefore shall he be destroyed, and shall bear his iniquity. | | For he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath broken his commandment: that soul shall surely be cut off; his iniquity is upon him. |
| Numbers 15:32 | And it came to pass, when the children of Israel were in the wilderness, and had found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day, | | And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day. |
| Numbers 15:33 | That they brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole multitude. | | And they that found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to the whole assembly. |
| Numbers 15:34 | And they put him into prison, not knowing what they should do with him. | | And they put him in custody, for it was not declared what should be done to him. |
| Numbers 15:35 | And the Lord said to Moses: Let that man die, let all the multitude stone him without the camp. | | And Jehovah said to Moses, The man shall certainly be put to death: the whole assembly shall stone him with stones outside the camp. |
| Numbers 15:36 | And when they had brought him out, they stoned him, and he died as the Lord had commanded. | | And the whole assembly led him outside the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died, as Jehovah had commanded Moses. |
| Numbers 15:37 | The Lord also said to Moses: | | And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, |
| Numbers 15:38 | Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt tell them I to make to themselves fringes in the corners of their garments, putting in them ribands of blue: | | Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them tassels on the corners of their garments, throughout their generations, and that they attach to the tassel of the corners a lace of blue; |
| Numbers 15:39 | That when they shall see them, they may remember all the commandments of the Lord, and not follow their own thoughts and eyes going astray after divers things, | | and it shall be unto you for a tassel, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of Jehovah, and do them; and that ye seek not after [the lusts of] your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye go a whoring; |
| Numbers 15:40 | But rather being mindful of the precepts of the Lord, may do them and be holy to their Cod. | | that ye may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God. |
| Numbers 15:41 | I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that I might be your God. | | I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God: I am Jehovah your God. |
