| Acts 23:1 | And Paul looking upon the council, said: Men, brethren, I have conversed with all good conscience before God until this present day. | Then Paul, fixing a steady gaze on the Sanhedrin, said, "Brethren, it is with a perfectly clear conscience that I have discharged my duties before God up to this day." | And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. |
| Acts 23:2 | And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to strike him on the mouth. | On hearing this the High Priest Ananias ordered those who were standing near Paul to strike him on the mouth. | And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. |
