| Romans 7:1 | Know you not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) that the law hath dominion over a man, as long as it liveth? | Brethren, do you not know for I am writing to people acquainted with the Law that it is during our lifetime that we are subject to the Law? | Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law) that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? |
| Romans 7:2 | For the woman that hath an husband, whilst her husband liveth is bound to the law. But if her husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. | A wife, for instance, whose husband is living is bound to him by the Law; but if her husband dies the law that bound her to him has now no hold over her. | For the woman who hath a husband, is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband is dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. |

To sum up then, with my understanding, I my true self am in servitude to the Law of God, but with my lower nature I am in servitude to the Law of sin. | I thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
