Deuteronomy 10:1At that time the Lord said to me: Hew thee two tables of stone like the former, and come up to me into the mount: and thou shalt make an ark of mood,At that time Yahweh said to me, Hew you two tables of stone like the first, and come up to me onto the mountain, and make an ark of wood.At that time the Lord said to me, Make two other stones, cut like the first two, and come up to me on the mountain, and make an ark of wood.
Deuteronomy 10:2And I will write on the tables the words that were in them, which thou brokest before, and thou shalt put them in the ark.I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark.And I will put on the stones the words which were on the first stones which were broken by you, and you are to put them into the ark.
Deuteronomy 10:3And I made an ark of setim wood And when I had hewn two tables of stone like the former, I went up into the mount, having them in my hands. So I made an ark of acacia wood, and hewed two tables of stone like the first, and went up onto the mountain, having the two tables in my hand.So I made an ark of hard wood, and had two stones cut like the others, and went up the mountain with the stones in my hands.
Deuteronomy 10:4And he wrote in the tables, according as he had written before, the ten words, which the Lord spoke to you in the mount from the midst of the fire, when the people were assembled: and he gave them to me.He wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Yahweh spoke to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Yahweh gave them to me.And he put on the stones, as in the first writing, the ten rules which the Lord gave you on the mountain out of the fire on the day of the great meeting: and the Lord gave the stones to me.
Deuteronomy 10:5And returning from the mount, I came down, and put the tables into the ark, that I had made, and they are there till this present, as the Lord commanded me.I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Yahweh commanded me.And turning round I came down from the mountain and put the stones in the ark which I had made; and there they are as the Lord gave me orders.
Deuteronomy 10:6And the children of Israel removed their camp from Beroth of the children of Jacan into Mosera, where Aaron died and was buried, and Eleazar his son succeeded him in the priestly office.(The children of Israel journeyed from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his place.(And the children of Israel went on from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah: there death came to Aaron and he was put to rest in the earth; and Eleazar, his son, took his place as priest.
Deuteronomy 10:7From thence they came to Gadgad, from which place they departed, and camped in Jetebatha, in a land of waters and torrents. From there they journeyed to Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water. From there they went on to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of streams of water.
Deuteronomy 10:8At that time he separated the tribe of Levi, to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to stand before him in the ministry, and to bless in his name until this present day.At that time Yahweh set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, to stand before Yahweh to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.At that time the Lord had the tribe of Levi marked out to take up the ark of the Lord's agreement, to be before the Lord and to do his work and to give blessings in his name, to this day.
Deuteronomy 10:9Wherefore Levi hath no part nor possession with his brethren: because the Lord himself is his possession, as the Lord thy God promised him. Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brothers; Yahweh is his inheritance, according as Yahweh your God spoke to him.)For this reason Levi has no part or heritage for himself among his brothers: the Lord is his heritage, as the Lord your God said to him.)
Deuteronomy 10:10And I stood in the mount, as before, forty days and nights: and the Lord heard me this time also, and would not destroy thee.I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and Yahweh listened to me that time also; Yahweh would not destroy you.And I was in the mountain, as at the first time, for forty days and forty nights; and again the ears of the Lord were open to my prayer, and he did not send destruction on you.
Deuteronomy 10:11And he said to me: Go, and walk before the people, that they may enter, and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers that I would give them.Yahweh said to me, Arise, take your journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers to give to them. Then the Lord said to me, Get up and go on your journey before the people, so that they may go in and take the land which I said in my oath to their fathers that I would give them.
Deuteronomy 10:12And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but that thou fear the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways, and love him, and serve the Lord thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul:Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul,And now, Israel, what would the Lord your God have you do, but to go in the fear of the Lord your God, walking in all his ways and loving him and doing his pleasure with all your heart and all your soul,
Deuteronomy 10:13And keep the commandments of the Lord, and his ceremonies, which I command thee this day, that it may be well with thee?to keep the commandments of Yahweh, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?Doing the orders of the Lord and keeping his laws which I give you this day for your good?
Deuteronomy 10:14Behold heaven is the Lord's thy God, and the heaven of heaven, the earth and all things that are therein.Behold, to Yahweh your God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein. The Lord your God is ruler of heaven, of the heaven of heavens, and of the earth with everything in it.
Deuteronomy 10:15And yet the Lord hath been closely joined to thy fathers, and loved them and chose their seed after them, that is to say, you, out of all nations, as this day it is proved.Only Yahweh had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.But the Lord had delight in your fathers and love for them, marking out for himself their seed after them, even you, from all peoples, as at this day.
Deuteronomy 10:16Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and stiffen your neck no more.Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.Let your circumcision be of the heart, and put away your pride.
Deuteronomy 10:17Because the Lord your God he is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, a great God and mighty and terrible, a who accepteth no person nor taketh bribes. For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn't regard persons, nor takes reward. For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, strong in power and greatly to be feared, who has no respect for any man's position and takes no rewards:
Deuteronomy 10:18He doth judgment to the fatherless and the widow, loveth the stranger, and giveth him food and raiment. He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the sojourner, in giving him food and clothing.Judging uprightly in the cause of the widow and of the child who has no father, and giving food and clothing in his mercy to the man from a strange country.
Deuteronomy 10:19And do you therefore love strangers, because you also were strangers in the land of Egypt.Love you therefore the sojourner; for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt. So be kind to the man from a strange country who is living among you, for you yourselves were living in a strange country in the land of Egypt.
Deuteronomy 10:20Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him only: to him thou shalt adhere, and shalt swear by his name. You shall fear Yahweh your God; him shall you serve; and to him shall you cleave, and by his name shall you swear.Let the fear of the Lord your God be before you, give him worship and be true to him at all times, taking your oaths in his name.
Deuteronomy 10:21He is thy praise, and thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thy eyes have seen.He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things, which your eyes have seen.He is your God, the God of your praise, your God who has done for you all these works of power which your eyes have seen.
Deuteronomy 10:22In seventy souls thy fathers went down into Egypt: and behold now the Lord thy God hath multiplied thee as the stars of heaven.Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons; and now Yahweh your God has made you as the stars of the sky for multitude.Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons; and now the Lord your God has made you like the stars of heaven in number.
