Exodus 34:1And after this he said: Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the former, and I will write upon them the words which were in the tables, which thou brokest.Yahweh said to Moses, "Chisel two stone tablets like the first: and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.And Jehovah said to Moses, Hew for thyself two tables of stone like the first; and I will write upon the tables the words that were upon the first tables, which thou hast broken.
Exodus 34:2Be ready in the morning, that thou mayst forthwith go up into mount Sinai, and thou shalt stand with me upon the top of the mount.Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain.And be ready for the morning, and go up in the morning to mount Sinai, and stand there before me on the top of the mountain.
Exodus 34:3Let no man go up with thee: and let not any man be seen throughout all the mount: neither let the oxen nor the sheep feed over against it.No one shall come up with you; neither let anyone be seen throughout all the mountain; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mountain."And let no man go up with thee, neither shall any man be seen on all the mountain; neither shall sheep and oxen feed in front of that mountain.
Exodus 34:4Then he cut out two tables of stone, such as had been before: and rising very early he went up into the mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, carrying with him the tables.He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets.And he hewed two tables of stone like the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning and went up to mount Sinai, as Jehovah had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
Exodus 34:5And when the Lord was come down in a cloud, Moses stood with him, calling upon the name of the Lord.Yahweh descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of Yahweh.And Jehovah came down in the cloud, and stood beside him there, and proclaimed the name of Jehovah.
Exodus 34:6And when he passed before him, he said: O the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, patient and of much compassion, and true,Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, "Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth,And Jehovah passed by before his face, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah ùGod merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth,
Exodus 34:7Who keepest mercy unto thousands: who takest away iniquity, and wickedness, and sin, and no man of himself is innocent before thee. Who renderest the iniquity of the fathers to the children, and to the grandchildren, unto the third and fourth generation.keeping lovingkindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children's children, on the third and on the fourth generation."keeping mercy unto thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but by no means clearing [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, upon the third and upon the fourth [generation].
Exodus 34:8And Moses making haste, bowed down prostrate unto the earth, and adoring,Moses hurried and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.And Moses made haste, and bowed his head to the earth and worshipped,
Exodus 34:9Said: If I have found grace in thy sight: O Lord, I beseech thee, that thou wilt go with us, (for it is a stiffnecked people,) and take away our iniquities and sin, and possess us.He said, "If now I have found favor in your sight, Lord, please let the Lord go in the midst of us; although this is a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance."and said, If indeed I have found grace in thine eyes, Lord, let the Lord, I pray thee, go in our midst; for it is a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for an inheritance!
Exodus 34:10The Lord answered: I will make a covenant in the sight of all. I will do signs such as were never seen upon the earth, nor in any nation: that this people, in the midst of whom thou art, may see the terrible work of the Lord which I will do.He said, "Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been worked in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among which you are shall see the work of Yahweh; for it is an awesome thing that I do with you.And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels that have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people in the midst of which thou [art] shall see the work of Jehovah; for a terrible thing it shall be that I will do with thee.
Exodus 34:11Observe all things which this day I command thee: I myself will drive out before thy face the Amorrhite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite.Observe that which I command you this day. Behold, I drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.Observe what I command thee this day: behold, I will drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
Exodus 34:12Beware thou never join in friendship with the inhabitants of that land, which may be thy ruin:Be careful, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you:Take heed to thyself, that thou make no covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which thou shalt come, lest it be a snare in the midst of thee;
Exodus 34:13But destroy their altars, break their statues, and cut down their groves:but you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and you shall cut down their Asherim;but ye shall demolish their altars, shatter their statues, and hew down their Asherahs.
Exodus 34:14Adore not any strange god. The Lord his name is Jealous, he is a jealous God.for you shall worship no other god: for Yahweh, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.For thou shalt worship no other ùGod; for Jehovah Jealous is his name is a jealous ùGod;
Exodus 34:15Make no covenant with the men of those countries lest, when they have committed fornication with their gods, and have adored their idols, some one call thee to eat of the things sacrificed.Don't make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, lest they play the prostitute after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and one call you and you eat of his sacrifice;lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and then, when they go a whoring after their gods, and sacrifice unto their gods, thou be invited, and eat of their sacrifice,
Exodus 34:16Neither shalt thou take of their daughters a wife for thy son, lest after they themselves have committed fornication, they make thy sons also to commit fornication with their gods.and you take of their daughters to your sons, and their daughters play the prostitute after their gods, and make your sons play the prostitute after their gods.and thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
Exodus 34:17Thou shalt not make to thyself any molten gods.You shall make no cast idols for yourselves.Thou shalt make thyself no molten gods.
Exodus 34:18Thou shalt keep the feast of the unleavened bread. Seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee in the time of the month of the new corn: for in the month of the springtime thou camest out from Egypt."You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.The feast of the unleavened bread shalt thou keep: seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I have commanded thee, at the appointed time of the month Abib; for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
Exodus 34:19All of the male kind, that openeth the womb, shall be mine. Of all beasts, both of oxen and of sheep, it shall be mine.All that opens the womb is mine; and all your cattle that is male, the firstborn of cow and sheep.All that openeth the womb [is] mine; and all the cattle that is born a male, the firstling of ox and sheep.
Exodus 34:20The firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a sheep: but if thou wilt not give a price for it, it shall be slain. The firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem: neither shalt thou appear before me empty.The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb: and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. No one shall appear before me empty.But the firstling of an ass thou shalt ransom with a lamb; and if thou ransom [it] not, then shalt thou break its neck. All the first-born of thy sons thou shalt ransom; and none shall appear before me empty.
Exodus 34:21Six days shalt thou work, the seventh day thou shalt cease to plough, and to reap.Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.Six days shalt thou work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest; in ploughing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
Exodus 34:22Thou shalt keep the feast of weeks with the firstfruits of the corn of thy wheat harvest, and the feast when the time of the year returneth that all things are laid in.You shall observe the feast of weeks with the first-fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of harvest at the year's end.And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the first-fruits of wheat-harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the turn of the year.
Exodus 34:23Three times in a year all thy males shall appear in the sight of the Almighty Lord the God of Israel.Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh, the God of Israel.Thrice in the year shall all thy males appear before the Lord Jehovah, the God of Israel.
Exodus 34:24For when I shall have taken away the nations from thy face, and shall have enlarged thy borders, no man shall lie in wait against thy land when thou shalt go up, and appear in the sight of the Lord thy God thrice in a year.For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land when you go up to appear before Yahweh, your God, three times in the year.For I will dispossess the nations before thee, and enlarge thy border, and no man shall desire thy land, when thou goest up to appear before the face of Jehovah thy God thrice in the year.
Exodus 34:25Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice upon leaven: neither shall there remain in the morning any thing of the victim of the solemnity of the Lord."You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left to the morning.Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left over night until the morning.
Exodus 34:26The first of the fruits of thy ground thou shalt offer in the house of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in the milk of his dam.You shall bring the first of the first-fruits of your ground to the house of Yahweh your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk."The first of the first-fruits of thy land shalt thou bring into the house of Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
Exodus 34:27And the Lord said to Moses: Write these words by which I have made a covenant both with thee and with Israel.Yahweh said to Moses, "Write you these words: for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel."And Jehovah said to Moses, Write thee these words; for after the tenor of these words have I made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
Exodus 34:28And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights: he neither ate bread nor drank water, and he wrote upon the tables the ten words of the covenant.He was there with Yahweh forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.And he was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; he ate no bread, and drank no water. And he wrote on the tables the words of the covenant, the ten words.
Exodus 34:29And when Moses came down from the mount Sinai, he held the two tables of the testimony, and he knew not that his face was horned from the conversation of the Lord.It happened, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mountain, that Moses didn't know that the skin of his face shone by reason of his speaking with him.And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai and the two tables of testimony were in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mountain that Moses knew not that the skin of his face shone through his talking with him.
Exodus 34:30And Aaron and the children of Israel seeing the face of Moses horned, were afraid to come near.When Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.And Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.
Exodus 34:31And being called by him, they returned, both Aaron and the rulers of the congregation. And after that he spoke to them.Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses spoke to them.And Moses called to them; and they turned to him, Aaron and all the principal men of the assembly; and Moses talked with them.
Exodus 34:32And all the children of Israel came to him: and he gave them in commandment all that he had heard of the Lord in mount Sinai.Afterward all the children of Israel came near, and he gave them all of the commandments that Yahweh had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.And afterwards, all the children of Israel came near; and he gave them in commandment all that Jehovah had spoken with him on mount Sinai.
Exodus 34:33And having done speaking, he put a veil upon his face.When Moses was done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.And Moses ended speaking with them; and he had put on his face a veil.
Exodus 34:34But when he went in to the Lord, and spoke with him, he took it away until he came forth, and then he spoke to the children of Israel all things that had been commanded him.But when Moses went in before Yahweh to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out; and he came out, and spoke to the children of Israel that which he was commanded.And when Moses went in before Jehovah to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out; and he came out, and spoke to the children of Israel what he was commanded.
Exodus 34:35And they saw that the face of Moses when he came out was horned, but he covered his face again, if at any time he spoke to them.The children of Israel saw Moses' face, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with him.And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone; and Moses put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
