| Luke 18:1 | And he spoke also a parable to them, that we ought always to pray, and not to faint, | He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up, | And he spoke also a parable to them to the purport that they should always pray and not faint, |
| Luke 18:2 | Saying: There was a judge in a certain city, who feared not God, nor regarded man. | saying, "A certain judge was in a city, who didn't fear God, and didn't respect man. | saying, There was a judge in a city, not fearing God and not respecting man: |
| Luke 18:3 | And there was a certain widow in that city, and she came to him, saying: Avenge me of my adversary. | A widow was in that city, and she came often to him, saying, 'Defend me from my adversary!' | and there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of mine adverse party. |
| Luke 18:4 | And he would not for a long time. But afterwards he said within himself: Although I fear not God, nor regard man, | He wouldn't for a while, but afterward he said to himself, 'Though I don't fear God, nor respect man, | And he would not for a time; but afterwards he said within himself, If even I fear not God and respect not man, |
| Luke 18:5 | Yet because this widow is troublesome to me, I will avenge her, lest continually coming she weary me. | yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.'" | at any rate because this widow annoys me I will avenge her, that she may not by perpetually coming completely harass me. |
| Luke 18:6 | And the Lord said: Hear what the unjust judge saith. | The Lord said, "Listen to what the unrighteous judge says. | And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says. |

| Luke 18:8 | I say to you, that he will quickly revenge them. But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth? | I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" | I say unto you that he will avenge them speedily. But when the Son of man comes, shall he indeed find faith on the earth? |

| Luke 18:14 | I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather that the other: because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted. | I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted." | I say unto you, This [man] went down to his house justified rather than that [other].
