John 7:3And his brethren said to him: Pass from hence, and go into Judea; that thy disciples also may see thy works which thou dost.His brothers therefore said to him, "Depart from here, and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works which you do.His brethren therefore said to him, Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.
John 7:4For there is no man that doth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, manifest thyself to the world.For no man does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world."For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou doest these things, show thyself to the world.
John 7:5For neither did his brethren believe in him.For even his brothers didn't believe in him.(For neither did his brethren believe in him.)
John 7:6Then Jesus said to them: My time is not yet come; but your time is always ready.Jesus therefore said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.Then Jesus said to them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready.
John 7:7The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth: because I give testimony of it, that the works thereof are evil.The world can't hate you, but it hates me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil.The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify concerning it, that its works are evil.
John 7:8Go you up to this festival day, but I go not up to this festival day: because my time is not accomplished.You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled."Go ye up to this feast: I go not yet to this feast, for my time is not yet full come.
John 7:9When he had said these things, he himself stayed in Galilee.Having said these things to them, he stayed in Galilee.When he had said these words to them, he abode still in Galilee.
John 7:10But after his brethren were gone up, then he also went up to the feast, not openly, but, as it were, in secret.But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.But when his brethren had gone up, then he went also to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.
John 7:11The Jews therefore sought him on the festival day, and said: Where is he?The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, "Where is he?"Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
John 7:12And there was much murmuring among the multitude concerning him. For some said: He is a good man. And others said: No, but he seduceth the people.There was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him. Some said, "He is a good man." Others said, "Not so, but he leads the multitude astray."And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, No; but he deceiveth the people.
John 7:13Yet no man spoke openly of him, for fear of the Jews.Yet no one spoke openly of him for fear of the Jews.Yet, no man spoke openly of him, for fear of the Jews.
John 7:14Now about the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.But when it was now the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.Now about the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
John 7:15And the Jews wondered, saying: How doth this man know letters, having never learned?The Jews therefore marveled, saying, "How does this man know letters, having never been educated?"And the Jews marveled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
John 7:16Jesus answered them, and said: My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.Jesus therefore answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
John 7:17If any man do the will of him; he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.If anyone desires to do his will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is from God, or if I speak from myself.If any man will do his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God, or whether I speak from myself.
John 7:18He that speaketh of himself, seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, he is true, and there is no injustice in him.He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.He that speaketh from himself, seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
John 7:19Did Moses not give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law?Didn't Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?"Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
John 7:20Why seek you to kill me? The multitude answered, and said: Thou hast a devil; who seeketh to kill thee?The multitude answered, "You have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?"The people answered and said, Thou hast a demon: who goeth about to kill thee?
John 7:21Jesus answered, and said to them: One work I have done; and you all wonder:Jesus answered them, "I did one work, and you all marvel because of it.Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.
John 7:22Therefore, Moses gave you circumcision (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and on the sabbath day you circumcise a man.Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.Moses therefore gave to you circumcision, (not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers) and ye on the sabbath circumcise a man.
John 7:23If a man receive circumcision on the sabbath day, that the law of Moses may not be broken; are you angry at me because I have healed the whole man on the sabbath day?If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me, because I made a man every bit whole on the Sabbath?If a man on the sabbath receiveth circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have restored a man to sound health on the sabbath?
John 7:24Judge not according to the appearance, but judge just judgment.Don't judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment."Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
John 7:25Some therefore of Jerusalem said: Is not this he whom they seek to kill?Some therefore of them of Jerusalem said, "Isn't this he whom they seek to kill?Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
John 7:26And behold, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers known for a truth, that this is the Christ?Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?But lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing to him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?
John 7:27But we know this man, whence he is: but when the Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.However we know where this man comes from, but when the Christ comes, no one will know where he comes from."But we know this man, whence he is: whereas when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
John 7:28Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching, and saying: You both know me, and you know whence I am: and I am not come of myself; but he that sent me, is true, whom you know not.Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, "You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don't know.Then cried Jesus in the temple, as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
John 7:29I know him, because I am from him, and he hath sent me.I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me."But I know him; for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
John 7:30They sought therefore to apprehend him: and no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.They sought therefore to take him. No one laid a hand on him, because his hour was not yet come.Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
John 7:31But of the people many believed in him, and said: When the Christ cometh, shall he do more miracles, than these which this man doth?But of the multitude, many believed in him. They said, "When the Christ comes, will he do more signs than those which this man has done?"And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?
John 7:32The Pharisees heard the people murmuring these things concerning him: and the rulers and Pharisees sent ministers to apprehend him.The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to take him.The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him: and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.
John 7:33Jesus therefore said to them: Yet a little while I am with you: and then I go to him that sent me.Then Jesus said, "Yet a little while, am I with you, then I go to him who sent me.Then said Jesus to them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go to him that sent me.
John 7:34You shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither you cannot come.You will seek me, and won't find me; and where I am, you can't come."Ye will seek me, and will not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come.
John 7:35The Jews therefore said among themselves: Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?The Jews therefore said among themselves, "Where will this man go that we won't find him? Will he go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go to the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
John 7:36What is this saying that he hath said: You shall seek me, and shall not find me; and where I am, you cannot come?What is this word that he said, 'You will seek me, and won't find me; and where I am, you can't come?'"What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye will seek me, and will not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?
John 7:37And on the last, and great day of the festivity, Jesus stood and cried, saying: If any man thirst, let him come to me, and drink.Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirsteth, let him come to me, and drink.
John 7:38He that believeth in me, as the scripture saith, Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water."He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
John 7:39Now this he said of the Spirit which they should receive, who believed in him: for as yet the Spirit was not given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn't yet glorified.(But this he spoke of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive, for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
John 7:40Of that multitude therefore, when they had heard these words of his, some said: This is the prophet indeed.Many of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, "This is truly the prophet."Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, In truth this is the Prophet.
John 7:41Others said: This is the Christ. But some said: Doth the Christ come out of Galilee?Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "What, does the Christ come out of Galilee?Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Will Christ come out of Galilee?
John 7:42Doth not the scripture say: That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem the town where David was?Hasn't the scripture said that the Christ comes of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh from the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
John 7:43So there arose a dissension among the people because of him.So there arose a division in the multitude because of him.So there was a division among the people because of him.
John 7:44And some of them would have apprehended him: but no man laid hands on him.Some of them would have taken him, but no one laid hands on him.And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
John 7:45The ministers therefore came to the chief priests and the Pharisees. And they said to them: Why have you not brought him?The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, "Why didn't you bring him?"Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said to them, Why have ye not brought him?
John 7:46The ministers answered: Never did man speak like this man.The officers answered, "No man ever spoke like this man!"The officers answered, Never man spoke like this man.
John 7:47The Pharisees therefore answered them: Are you also seduced?The Pharisees therefore answered them, "Are you also led astray?Then the Pharisees answered them, Are ye also deceived?
John 7:48Hath any one of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?Has any of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?Have any of the rulers, or of the Pharisees believed on him?
John 7:49But this multitude, that knoweth not the law, are accursed.But this cursed multitude doesn't know the law."But this people who know not the law are cursed.
John 7:50Nicodemus said to them, (he that came to him by night, who was one of them:)Nicodemus (he who came to him by night, being one of them) said to them,Nicodemus saith to them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them)
John 7:51Doth our law judge any man, unless it first hear him, and know what he doth?"Does our law judge a man, unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?"Doth our law judge any man before it heareth him, and knoweth what he doeth?
John 7:52They answered, and said to him: Art thou also a Galilean? Search the scriptures, and see, that out of Galilee a prophet riseth not.They answered him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee."They answered and said to him, Art thou also from Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
John 7:53And every man returned to his own house.Everyone went to his own house,And every man went to his own house.
