| Exodus 25:1 | And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: | Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, | |
| Exodus 25:2 | Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring firstfruits to me: of every man that offereth of his own accord, you shall take them. | "Speak to the children of Israel, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you shall take my offering. | |
| Exodus 25:3 | And these are the things you must take: gold, and silver, and brass, | This is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, brass, | |
| Exodus 25:4 | Violet and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine linen, and goats' hair, | blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats' hair, | |
| Exodus 25:5 | And rams' skins dyed red, and violet skins, and setim wood: | rams' skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood, | |
| Exodus 25:6 | Oil to make lights: spices for ointment, and for sweetsmelling incense: | oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense, | |
| Exodus 25:7 | Onyx stones, and precious stones to adorn the ephod and the rational. | onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate. | |
| Exodus 25:8 | And they shall make me a sanctuary, and I will dwell in the midst of them: | Let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. | |
| Exodus 25:9 | According to all the likeness of the tabernacle which I will shew thee, and of all the vessels for the service thereof: and thus you shall make it: | According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tent, and the pattern of all of its furniture, even so you shall make it. | |
| Exodus 25:10 | Frame an ark of setim wood, the length whereof shall be of two cubits and a half: the breadth, a cubit and a half: the height, likewise, a cubit and a half. | "They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Its length shall be two and a half cubits, its breadth a cubit and a half, and a cubit and a half its height. | |
| Exodus 25:11 | And thou shalt overlay it with the purest gold within and without: and over it thou shalt make a golden crown round about: | You shall overlay it with pure gold. Inside and outside shall you overlay it, and shall make a gold molding around it. | |
| Exodus 25:12 | And four golden rings, which thou shall put at the four corners of the ark: let two rings be on the one side, and two on the other. | You shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in its four feet. Two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. | |
| Exodus 25:13 | Thou shalt make bars also of setim wood, and shalt overlay them with gold. | You shall make poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold. | |
| Exodus 25:14 | And thou shalt put them in through the rings that are in the sides of the ark, that it may be carried on them. | You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark. | |
| Exodus 25:15 | And they shall be always in the rings, neither shall they at any time be drawn out of them. | The poles shall be in the rings of the ark. They shall not be taken from it. | |
| Exodus 25:16 | And thou shalt put in the ark the testimony which I will give thee. | You shall put the testimony which I shall give you into the ark. | |
| Exodus 25:17 | Thou shalt make also a propitiatory of the purest gold: the length thereof shall be two cubits and a half, and the breadth a cubit and a half. | You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two and a half cubits shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. | |
| Exodus 25:18 | Thou shalt make also two cherubims of beaten gold, on the two sides of the oracle. | You shall make two cherubim of hammered gold. You shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. | |
| Exodus 25:19 | Let one cherub be on the one side, and the other on the other. | Make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. You shall make the cherubim on its two ends of one piece with the mercy seat. | |
| Exodus 25:20 | Let them cover both sides of the propitiatory, spreading their wings, and covering the oracle, and let them look one towards the other, their faces being turned towards the propitiatory wherewith the ark is to be covered. | The cherubim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. | |
| Exodus 25:21 | In which thou shalt put the testimony that I will give thee. | You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you. | |
| Exodus 25:22 | Thence will I give orders, and will speak to thee over the propitiatory, and from the midst of the two cherubims, which shall be upon the ark of the testimony, all things which I will command the children of Israel by thee. | There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the testimony, all that I command you for the children of Israel. | |
| Exodus 25:23 | Thou shalt make a table also of setim wood, of two cubits in length, and a cubit in breadth, and a cubit and half in height. | "You shall make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits shall be its length, and a cubit its breadth, and one and a half cubits its height. | |
| Exodus 25:24 | And thou shalt overlay it with the purest gold: and thou shalt make to it a golden ledge round about. | You shall overlay it with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it. | |
| Exodus 25:25 | And to the ledge itself a polished crown, four inches high: and over the same another little golden crown. | You shall make a rim of a handbreadth around it. You shall make a golden molding on its rim around it. | |
| Exodus 25:26 | Thou shalt prepare also four golden rings, and shalt put them in the four corners of the same table over each foot. | You shall make four rings of gold for it, and put the rings in the four corners that are on its four feet. | |
| Exodus 25:27 | Under the crown shall the golden rings be, that the bars may be put through them, and the table may be carried. | the rings shall be close to the rim, for places for the poles to carry the table. | |
| Exodus 25:28 | The bars also themselves thou shalt make of setim wood, and shalt overlay them with gold to bear up the table. | You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be carried with them. | |
| Exodus 25:29 | Thou shalt prepare also dishes, and bowls, censers, and cups, wherein the libations are to be offered of the purest gold. | You shall make its dishes, its spoons, its ladles, and its bowls to pour out offerings with. Of pure gold shall you make them. | |
| Exodus 25:30 | And thou shalt set upon the table loaves of proposition in my sight always. | You shall set bread of the presence on the table before me always. | |
| Exodus 25:31 | Thou shalt make also a candlestick of beaten work of the finest gold, the shaft thereof, and the branches, the cups, and the bowls, and the lilies going forth from it. | "You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. Of hammered work shall the lampstand be made, even its base, its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its flowers, shall be of one piece with it. | |
| Exodus 25:32 | Six branches shall come out of the sides, three out of the one side, and three out of the other. | There shall be six branches going out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand out of its one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of its other side; | |
| Exodus 25:33 | Three cups as it were nuts to every branch, and a bowl withal, and a lily; and three cups, likewise of the fashion of nuts in the other branch, and a bowl withal, and a lily. Such shall be the work of the six branches, that are to come out from the shaft: | three cups made like almond blossoms in one branch, a bud and a flower; and three cups made like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bud and a flower, so for the six branches going out of the lampstand; | |
| Exodus 25:34 | And in the candlestick itself shall be four cups in the manner of a nut, and at every one, bowls and lilies. | and in the lampstand four cups made like almond blossoms, its buds and its flowers; | |
| Exodus 25:35 | Bowls under two branches in three places, which together make six coming forth out of one shaft. | and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the lampstand. | |
| Exodus 25:36 | And both the bowls and the branches shall be of the same beaten work of the purest gold. | Their buds and their branches shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it one beaten work of pure gold. | |
| Exodus 25:37 | Thou shalt make also seven lamps, and shalt set them upon the candlestick, to give light over against. | You shall make its lamps seven, and they shall light its lamps to give light to the space in front of it. | |
| Exodus 25:38 | The snuffers also and where the snuffings shall be put out, shall be made of the purest gold. | Its snuffers and its snuff dishes shall be of pure gold. | |
| Exodus 25:39 | The whole weight of the candlestick with all the furniture thereof shall be a talent of the purest gold. | It shall be made of a talent of pure gold, with all these accessories. | |
| Exodus 25:40 | Look and make it according to the pattern, that was shewn thee in the mount. | See that you make them after their pattern, which has been shown to you on the mountain. | |
