1st-Peter 4:1Christ therefore having suffered in the flesh, be you also armed with the same thought: for he that hath suffered in the flesh, hath ceased from sins:Christ, then, having suffered for us in the flesh, ye also with the same mind arm yourselves, because he who did suffer in the flesh hath done with sin,Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1st-Peter 4:2That now he may live the rest of his time in the flesh , not after the desires of men, but according to the will of God.no more in the desires of men, but in the will of God, to live the rest of the time in the flesh;that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
1st-Peter 4:3For the time past is sufficient to have fulfilled the will of the Gentiles, for them who have walked in riotousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and unlawful worshipping of idols.for sufficient to us [is] the past time of life the will of the nations to have wrought, having walked in lasciviousnesses, desires, excesses of wines, revelings, drinking-bouts, and unlawful idolatries,For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:
1st-Peter 4:4Wherein they think it strange, that you run not with them into the same confusion of riotousness, speaking evil of you.in which they think it strange your not running with them to the same excess of dissoluteness, speaking evil,wherein they think strange that ye run not with [them] into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [you]:
1st-Peter 4:5Who shall render account to him, who is ready to judge the living and the dead.who shall give an account to Him who is ready to judge living and dead,who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.
1st-Peter 4:6For, for this cause was the gospel preached also to the dead: that they might be judged indeed according to men, in the flesh; but may live according to God, in the Spirit.for for this also to dead men was good news proclaimed, that they may be judged, indeed, according to men in the flesh, and may live according to God in the spirit.For unto this end was the gospel preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
1st-Peter 4:7But the end of all is at hand. Be prudent therefore, and watch in prayers.And of all things the end hath come nigh; be sober-minded, then, and watch unto the prayers,But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:
1st-Peter 4:8But before all things have a constant mutual charity among yourselves: for charity covereth a multitude of sins.and, before all things, to one another having the earnest love, because the love shall cover a multitude of sins;above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:
1st-Peter 4:9Using hospitality one towards another, without murmuring,hospitable to one another, without murmuring;using hospitality one to another without murmuring:
1st-Peter 4:10As every man hath received grace, ministering the same one to another: as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.each, according as he received a gift, to one another ministering it, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;according as each hath received a gift, ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;
1st-Peter 4:11If any man speak, let him speak, as the words of God. If any man minister, let him do it, as of the power, which God administereth: that in all things God may be honoured through Jesus Christ: to whom is glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.if any one doth speak `as oracles of God;` if any one doth minister `as of the ability which God doth supply;` that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the power to the ages of the ages. Amen.if any man speaketh, [speaking] as it were oracles of God; is any man ministereth, [ministering] as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1st-Peter 4:12Dearly beloved, think not strange the burning heat which is to try you, as if some new thing happened to you;Beloved, think it not strange at the fiery suffering among you that is coming to try you, as if a strange thing were happening to you,Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial among you, which cometh upon you to prove you, as though a strange thing happened unto you:
1st-Peter 4:13But if you partake of the sufferings of Christ, rejoice that when his glory shall be revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.but, according as ye have fellowship with the sufferings of the Christ, rejoice ye, that also in the revelation of his glory ye may rejoice exulting;but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.
1st-Peter 4:14If you be reproached for the name of Christ, you shall be blessed: for that which is of the honour, glory, and power of God, and that which is his Spirit, resteth upon you.if ye be reproached in the name of Christ happy [are ye], because the Spirit of glory and of God upon you doth rest; in regard, indeed, to them, he is evil-spoken of, and in regard to you, he is glorified;If ye are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed [are ye]; because the [Spirit] of glory and the Spirit of God resteth upon you.
1st-Peter 4:15But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or a railer, or a coveter of other men's things.for let none of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evil-doer, or as an inspector into other men`s matters;For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a meddler in other men's matters:
1st-Peter 4:16But if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.and if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; and let him glorify God in this respect;but if [a man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this name.
1st-Peter 4:17For the time is, that judgment should begin at the house of God. And if first at us, what shall be the end of them that believe not the gospel of God?because it is the time of the beginning of the judgment from the house of God, and if first from us, what the end of those disobedient to the good news of God?For the time [is come] for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if [it begin] first at us, what [shall be] the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?
1st-Peter 4:18And if the just man shall scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?And if the righteous man is scarcely saved, the ungodly and sinner where shall he appear?And if the righteous is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?
1st-Peter 4:19Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God, commend their souls in good deeds to the faithful Creator.so that also those suffering according to the will of god, as to a stedfast Creator, let them commit their own souls in good doing.Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.
