| Exodus 40:1 | And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: | And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, | And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, |
| Exodus 40:2 | The first month, the first day of the month, thou shalt set up the tabernacle of the testimony, | `On the first day of the month, in the first month, thou dost raise up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, | On the first day of the first month shalt thou rear up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. |
| Exodus 40:3 | And shalt put the ark in it, and shalt let down the veil before it: | and hast set there the ark of the testimony, and hast covered over the ark with the vail, | And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and thou shalt screen the ark with the veil. |
| Exodus 40:4 | And thou shalt bring in the table, and set upon it the things that are commanded according to the rite. The candlestick shall stand with its lamps, | and hast brought in the table, and set its arrangement in order, and hast brought in the candlestick, and caused its lamps to go up. | And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof. |
| Exodus 40:5 | And the altar of gold whereon the incense is burnt, before the ark of the testimony. Thou shalt put the hanging in the entry of the tabernacle, | `And thou hast put the golden altar for perfume before the ark of the testimony, and hast put the covering of the opening to the tabernacle, | And thou shalt set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the screen of the door to the tabernacle. |

| Exodus 40:8 | And thou shalt encompass the court with hangings, and the entry thereof. | `And thou hast set the court round about, and hast placed the covering of the gate of the court, | And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court. |
| Exodus 40:9 | And thou shalt take the oil of unction and anoint the tabernacle with its vessels, that they may be sanctified: | and hast taken the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle, and all that [is] in it, and hallowed it, and all its vessels, and it hath been holy; | And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the furniture thereof: and it shall be holy. |
| Exodus 40:10 | The altar of holocaust and all its vessels: | and thou hast anointed the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and sanctified the altar, and the altar hath been most holy; | And thou shalt anoint the altar of burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and sanctify the altar: and the altar shall be most holy. |
| Exodus 40:11 | The laver with its foot: thou shalt consecrate all with the oil of unction, that they may be most holy. | and thou hast anointed the laver and its base, and sanctified it. | And thou shalt anoint the laver and its base, and sanctify it. |

| Exodus 40:15 | So in the first month of the second year, the first day of the month, the tabernacle was set up. | and anointed them as thou hast anointed their father, and they have acted as priests to Me, and their anointing hath been to be to them for a priesthood age-during, to their generations.` | and thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: and their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations. |
| Exodus 40:16 | And Moses reared it up, and placed the boards and the sockets and the bars, and set up the pillars, | And Moses doth according to all that Jehovah hath commanded him; so he hath done. | Thus did Moses: according to all that Jehovah commanded him, so did he. |
| Exodus 40:17 | And spread the roof over the tabernacle, putting over it a cover, as the Lord had commanded. | And it cometh to pass, in the first month, in the second year, in the first of the month, the tabernacle hath been raised up; | And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up. |
| Exodus 40:18 | And he put the testimony in the ark, thrusting bars underneath, and the oracle above. | and Moses raiseth up the tabernacle, and setteth its sockets, and placeth its boards, and placeth its bars, and raiseth its pillars, | And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up its pillars. |
| Exodus 40:19 | And when he had brought the ark into the tabernacle, he drew the veil before it to fulfil the commandment of the Lord. | and spreadeth the tent over the tabernacle, and putteth the covering of the tent upon it above, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses. | And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as Jehovah commanded Moses. |
| Exodus 40:20 | And he set the table in the tabernacle of the testimony at the north side without the veil, | And he taketh and putteth the testimony unto the ark, and setteth the staves on the ark, and putteth the mercy-seat on the ark above; | And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy-seat above upon the ark: |

| Exodus 40:31 | He set up also the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, drawing the hanging in the entry thereof. After all things were perfected, | and Moses and Aaron and his sons have washed their hands and their feet at the same; | And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat; |

| Exodus 40:33 | Neither could Moses go into the tabernacle of the covenant, the cloud covering all things and the majesty of the Lord shining, for the cloud had covered all. | And he raiseth up the court round about the tabernacle, and about the altar, and placeth the covering of the gate of the court; and Moses completeth the work. | And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work. |
| Exodus 40:34 | If at any time the cloud removed from the tabernacle, the children of Israel went forward by their troops: | And the cloud covereth the tent of meeting, and the honour of Jehovah hath filled the tabernacle; | Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle. |
| Exodus 40:35 | If it hung over, they remained in the same place. | and Moses hath not been able to go in unto the tent of meeting, for the cloud hath tabernacled on it, and the honour of Jehovah hath filled the tabernacle. | And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of meeting, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle. |
