2nd-Kings 15:1In the seven and twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Azarias son of Amasias, king of Juda.In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned hath Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah,In the twenty-seventh year of the rule of Jeroboam, king of Israel, Azariah, son of Amaziah, became king of Judah.
2nd-Kings 15:2He was sixteen years old, when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Jechelia of Jerusalem.a son of sixteen years was he in his reigning, and fifty and two years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jecholiah of Jerusalem,He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he was ruling in Jerusalem for fifty-two years; his mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
2nd-Kings 15:3And he did that which was pleasing before the Lord, according to all that his father Amasias had done.and he doth that which [is] right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Amaziah his father did,And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Amaziah had done.
2nd-Kings 15:4But the high places he did not destroy: for the people sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.only, the high places have not turned aside yet are the people sacrificing and making perfume in high places.But he did not take away the high places, and the people still went on making offerings and burning them in the high places.
2nd-Kings 15:5And the Lord struck the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and he dwelt in a free house apart: but Joatham the king's soil governed the palace, and judged the people of the land.And Jehovah smiteth the king, and he is a leper unto the day of his death, and he dwelleth in a separate house, and Jotham son of the king [is] over the house, judging the people of the land.And the Lord sent disease on the king and he became a leper, and to the day of his death he was living separately in his private house. And Jotham his son was over his house, judging the people of the land.
2nd-Kings 15:6And the rest of the acts of Azarias, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda?And the rest of the matters of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?
2nd-Kings 15:7And Azarias slept with his fathers: and they buried him with his ancestors in the city of David, and Joatham his son reigned in his stead.And Azariah lieth with his fathers, and they bury him with his fathers, in the city of David, and reign doth Jotham his son in his stead.And Azariah went to rest with his fathers and was put into the earth with his fathers in the town of David; and Jotham his son became king in his place.
2nd-Kings 15:8In the eight and thirtieth year of Azarias king of Juda, reigned Zacharias son of Jeroboam over Israel in Samaria six months:In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah reigned hath Zechariah son of Jeroboam over Israel, in Samaria, six months,In the thirty-eighth year of Azaliah, king of Judah, Zechariah, son of Jeroboam, was king over Israel for six months.
2nd-Kings 15:9And he did that which is evil before the Lord, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat who made Israel to sin.and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, as did his fathers, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.And he did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his father had done, not turning away from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.
2nd-Kings 15:10And Sellum the son of Jabes conspired against him: and struck him publicly and killed him, and reigned in his place.And Shallum son of Jabesh conspireth against him, and smiteth him before the people, and putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead.And Shallum, the son of Jabesh, made a secret design against him, and, attacking him in Ibleam, put him to death and became king in his place.
2nd-Kings 15:11Now the rest of the acts of Zacharias, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?And the rest of the matters of Zechariah, lo, they are written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.
2nd-Kings 15:12This was the word of the Lord, which he spoke to Jehu, saying: Thy children to the fourth generation shall sit upon the throne of Israel. And so it came to pass.It [is] the word of Jehovah that He spake unto Jehu, saying, `Sons of the fourth [generation] do sit for thee on the throne of Israel;` and it is so.This was what the Lord had said to Jehu, Your sons to the fourth generation will be kings of Israel. And so it came about.
2nd-Kings 15:13Sellum the son of Jabes began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Azarias king of Juda: and reigned one month in Samaria.Shallum son of Jabesh hath reigned in the thirty and ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigneth a month of days in Samaria;Shallum, the son of Jabesh, became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah, king of Judah; and he was ruling in Samaria for the space of one month.
2nd-Kings 15:14And Manahem the son of Gadi went up from Thersa: and he came into Samaria, and struck Sellum the son of Jabes in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.and go up doth Menahem son of Gadi from Tirzah and cometh in to Samaria, and smiteth Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead.Then Menahem, the son of Gadi, went up from Tirzah and came to Samaria, and attacking Shallum, son of Jabesh, in Samaria, put him to death and made himself king in his place.
2nd-Kings 15:15And the rest of the acts of Sellum, and his conspiracy, which he made, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?And the rest of the matters of Shallum, and his conspiracy that he made, lo, they are written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the secret design which he made, are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.
2nd-Kings 15:16Then Manahem destroyed Thapsa and all that were in it and the borders thereof from Thersa, because they would not open to him: and he slew all the women thereof that were with child, and ripped them up.Then doth Menahem smite Tiphsah, and all who [are] in it, and its borders from Tirzah, for it opened not [to him], and he smiteth [it], all its pregnant women he hath ripped up.Then Menahem sent destruction on Tappuah and all the people in it, and its limits, from Tirzah, because they would not let him come in; and he had all the women who were with child cut open.
2nd-Kings 15:17In the nine and thirtieth year of Azarias king of Juda, reigned Manahem son of Gadi over Israel ten years in Samaria.In the thirty and ninth year of Azariah king of Judah reigned hath Menahem son of Gadi over Israel ten years in Samaria.In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah, king of Judah, Menahem, the son of Gadi, became king over Israel, and was ruling in Samaria for ten years.
2nd-Kings 15:18And he did that which was evil before the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin all his days.And he doth the evil in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath turned not aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin, all his days.He did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not keep himself from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.
2nd-Kings 15:19And Phul king of the Assyrians came into the land, and Manahem gave Phul a thousand talents of silver, to aid him and to establish him in the kingdom.Pul king of Asshur hath come against the land, and Menahem giveth to Pul a thousand talents of silver, for his hand being with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.In his day, Pul, the king of Assyria, came up against the land; and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver so that he might let him keep the kingdom.
2nd-Kings 15:20And Manahem laid a tax upon Israel, on all that were mighty and rich, to give the king of the Assyrians, each man fifty sides of silver: so the king of the Assyrians turned back, and did not stay in the land.And Menahem bringeth out the silver [from] Israel, [from] all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Asshur, fifty shekels of silver for each one, and the king of Asshur turneth back and hath not stayed there in the land.And Menahem got the money from Israel, from all the men of wealth, fifty silver shekels from every man, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria went back without stopping in the land.
2nd-Kings 15:21And the rest of the acts of Manahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?And the rest of the matters of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?Now the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel?
2nd-Kings 15:22And Manahem slept with his fathers: and Phaceia his son reigned in his stead.And Menahem lieth with his fathers, and reign doth Pekahiah his son in his stead.And Menahem went to rest with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son became king in his place.
2nd-Kings 15:23In the fiftieth year of Azarias king of Juda reigned Phaceia the son of Manahem over Israel in Samaria two years.In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah hath Pekahiah son of Menahem reigned over Israel, in Samaria two years,In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah, the son of Menahem, became king over Israel in Samaria, ruling for two years.
2nd-Kings 15:24And he did that which was evil before the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin.and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, not turning from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.
2nd-Kings 15:25And Phacee the son of Romelia, his captain conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the tower of the king's house, near Argob, and near Arie, and with him fifty men of the sons of the Galaadites, and he slew him and reigned in his stead.And Pekah son of Remaliah, his captain, doth conspire against him, and smiteth him in Samaria, in the high place of the house of the king with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites, and he putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead.And Pekah, the son of Remaliah, his captain, made a secret design against him, attacking him in the king's great house in Samaria; and with him were fifty men of Gilead; and he put him to death and became king in his place.
2nd-Kings 15:26And the rest of the acts of Phaceia, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?And the rest of the matters of Pekahiah, and all that he did, lo, they are written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all he did, are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.
2nd-Kings 15:27In the two and fiftieth year of Azarias king of Juda reigned Phacee the son of Romelia over Israel in Samaria twenty years.In the fifty and second year of Azariah king of Judah, reigned hath Pekah son of Remaliah over Israel, in Samaria twenty years,In the fifty-second year of Azariah, king of Judah, Pekah, the son of Remaliah, became king over Israel in Samaria, ruling for twenty years.
2nd-Kings 15:28And he did that which was evil before the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin.and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin.He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, not turning from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.
2nd-Kings 15:29In the days of Phacee king of Israel came Theglathphalasar king of Assyria, and took Aion, and Abel Domum Maacha and Janoe, and Cedes, and Asor, and Galaad, and Galilee, and all the land of Nephtali: and carried them captives into Assyria.In the days of Pekah king of Israel hath Tiglath-Pileser king of Asshur come, and taketh Ijon, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and removeth them to Asshur.In the days of Pekah, king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, came and took Ijon and Abel-beth-maacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee and all the land of Naphtali; and he took the people away to Assyria.
2nd-Kings 15:30Now Osee son of Ela conspired, and formed a plot against Phacee, the son of Romelia, and struck him, and slew him: and reigned in his stead in the twentieth year of Joatham the son of Ozias.And make a conspiracy doth Hoshea son of Elah against Pekah son of Remaliah, and smiteth him, and putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.And Hoshea, the son of Elah, made a secret design against Pekah, the son of Remaliah, and, attacking him, put him to death and became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham, the son of Uzziah.
2nd-Kings 15:31But the rest of the acts of Phaces, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?And the rest of the matters of Pekah, and all that he did, lo, they are written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.Now the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all he did, are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.
2nd-Kings 15:32In the second year of Phacee the son of Romelia king of Israel reigned Joatham son of Ozias king of Juda.In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel reigned hath Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah.In the second year of Pekah, the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham, the son of Uzziah, became king of Judah.
2nd-Kings 15:33He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Jerusa, the daughter of Sadoc.A son of twenty and five years was he in his reigning, and sixteen years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jerusha daughter of Zadok,He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he was ruling for sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.
2nd-Kings 15:34And he did that which was right before the Lord: according to all that his father Ozias had done, so did he.and he doth that which [is] right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Uzziah his father did he hath done.And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Uzziah had done.
2nd-Kings 15:35But the high places he took not away: the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places: he built the highest gate of the house of the Lord.Only, the high places have not turned aside yet are the people sacrificing and making perfume in high places; he hath built the high gate of the house of Jehovah.But he did not take away the high places, and the people still went on making offerings and burning them in the high places. He was the builder of the higher doorway of the house of the Lord.
2nd-Kings 15:36But the rest of the acts of Joatham, end all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda?And the rest of the matters of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?
2nd-Kings 15:37In those days the Lord began to send into Juda Basin king of Syria, and Phacee the son of Romelia.In those days hath Jehovah begun to send against Judah Rezin king of Amram and Pekah son of Remaliah.In those days the Lord first sent against Judah, Rezin, the king of Aram, and Pekah, the son of Remaliah.
2nd-Kings 15:38And Joatham slept with his fathers, and was buried with them in the city of David his father, and Achaz his son reigned in his stead.And Jotham lieth with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, and reign doth Ahaz his son in his stead.And Jotham went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth in the town of David his father; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.
