| John 5:19 | Then Jesus answered, and said to them: Amen, amen, I say unto you, the Son cannot do any thing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doth, these the Son also doth in like manner. | Jesus therefore responded and said to them, `Verily, verily, I say to you, The Son is not able to do anything of himself, if he may not see the Father doing anything; for whatever things He may do, these also the Son in like manner doth; | So Jesus made answer and said, Truly I say to you, The Son is not able to do anything himself; he is able to do only what he sees the Father doing; whatever the Father does the Son does it in the same way. |

| John 5:44 | How can you believe, who receive glory one from another: and the glory which is from God alone, you do not seek? | how are ye able ye to believe, glory from one another receiving, and the glory that [is] from God alone ye seek not? | How is it possible for you to have faith while you take honour one from another and have no desire for the honour which comes from the only God? |

There is one that accuseth you, Moses, in whom you trust. | `Do not think that I will accuse you unto the Father; there is who is accusing you, Moses in whom ye have hoped; | Put out of your minds the thought that I will say things against you to the Father: the one who says things against you is Moses, on whom you put your hopes. |
