Deuteronomy 14:1 | Be ye children of the Lord your God: you shall not cut yourselves, no, make any baldness for the dead; | `Sons ye [are] to Jehovah your God; ye do not cut yourselves, nor make baldness between your eyes for the dead; | Ye are sons of Jehovah your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for a dead person. |
Deuteronomy 14:2 | Because thou art a holy people to the Lord thy God: and he chose thee to be his peculiar people of all nations that are upon the earth. | for a holy people [art] thou to Jehovah thy God, and on thee hath Jehovah fixed to be to Him for a people, a peculiar treasure, out of all the peoples who [are] on the face of the ground. | For thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God, and thee hath Jehovah chosen for a people of possession unto himself, out of all the peoples that are upon the face of the earth. |
Deuteronomy 14:3 | Eat not the things that are unclean. | `Thou dost not eat any abominable thing; | Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing. |

Deuteronomy 14:6 | Every beast that divideth the hoof in two parts, and cheweth the cud, you shall eat. | and every beast dividing the hoof, and cleaving the cleft into two hoofs, bringing up the cud, among the beasts it ye do eat. | And every beast that hath cloven hoofs, and the feet quite split open into double hoofs, [and] which cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that ye shall eat. |
Deuteronomy 14:7 | But of them that chew the cud, but divide not the hoof, you shall not eat, such as the camel, the hare, and the cherogril: because they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof, they shall be unclean to you. | `Only, this ye do not eat, of those bringing up the cud, and of those dividing the cloven hoof: the camel, and the hare, and the rabbit, for they are bringing up the cud but the hoof have not divided; unclean they [are] to you; | Only these ye shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those with hoofs cloven and split open: the camel, and the hare, and the rock-badger; for they chew the cud, but have not cloven hoofs they shall be unclean unto you; |

Deuteronomy 14:21 | But whatsoever is dead of itself, eat not thereof. Give it to the stranger, that is within thy gates, to eat, or sell it to him: because thou art the holy people of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in the milk of his dam. | `Ye do not eat of any carcase; to the sojourner who [is] within thy gates thou dost give it, and he hath eaten it; or sell [it] to a stranger; for a holy people thou [art] to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not boil a kid in its mother`s milk. | Ye shall eat of no carcase; thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is within thy gates, that he may eat it, or sell it unto a foreigner; for thou art a holy people to Jehovah thy God. Deuteronomy 14:22 | Every year thou shalt set aside the tithes of all thy fruits that the earth bringeth forth, | `Thou dost certainly tithe all the increase of thy seed which the field is bringing forth year by year; | Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, the produce of the field, year by year. |
Deuteronomy 14:23 | And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose, that his name may be called upon therein, the tithe of thy corn, and thy wine, and thy oil, and the firstborn of thy herds and thy sheep: that thou mayst learn to fear the Lord thy God at all times. | and thou hast eaten before Jehovah thy God, in the place where He doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle, the tithe of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd, and of thy flock, so that thou dost learn to fear Jehovah thy God all the days. | And thou shalt eat before Jehovah thy God, in the place which he will choose to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear Jehovah thy God continually. |
Deuteronomy 14:24 | But when the way and the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, are far off, and he hath blessed thee, and thou canst not carry all these things thither, | `And when the way is too much for thee, that thou art not able to carry it when the place is too far off from thee which Jehovah thy God doth choose to put His name there, when Jehovah thy God doth bless thee; | And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it, because the place is too far from thee, which Jehovah thy God will choose to set his name there, when Jehovah thy God blesseth thee; |
Deuteronomy 14:25 | Thou shalt sell them all, and turn them into money, and shalt carry it in thy hand, and shalt go to the place which the Lord shall choose : | then thou hast given [it] in money, and hast bound up the money in thy hand, and gone unto the place on which Jehovah thy God doth fix; | then shalt thou give it for money, and bind the money together in thy hand, and go to the place which Jehovah thy God will choose, |
Deuteronomy 14:26 | And thou shalt buy with the same money whatsoever pleaseth thee, either of the herds or of sheep, wine also and strong drink, and all that thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, and shalt feast, thou and thy house: | and thou hast given the money for any thing which thy soul desireth, for oxen, and for sheep, and for wine, and for strong drink, and for any thing which thy soul asketh, and thou hast eaten there before Jehovah thy God, and thou hast rejoiced, thou and thy house. | and thou shalt give the money for whatever thy soul desireth, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever thy soul asketh of thee; and thou shalt eat there before Jehovah thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thy house. |
Deuteronomy 14:27 | And the Levite that is within thy gates, beware thou forsake him not, because he hath no other part in thy possession. | As to the Levite who [is] within thy gates, thou dost not forsake him, for he hath no portion and inheritance with thee. | And thou shalt not forsake the Levite that is within thy gates; for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee. |
Deuteronomy 14:28 | The third year thou shalt separate another tithe of all things that grow to thee at that time, and shalt lay it up within thy gates. | `At the end of three years thou dost bring out all the tithe of thine increase in that year, and hast placed [it] within thy gates; | At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates; |
Deuteronomy 14:29 | And the Levite that hath no other part nor possession with thee, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow, that are within thy gates, shall come and shall eat and be filled: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the works of thy hands that thou shalt do. | and come in hath the Levite (for he hath no part and inheritance with thee), and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] within thy gates, and they have eaten, and been satisfied, so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in all the work of thy hand which thou dost. | and the Levite for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hand which thou doest. |
