Philippians 3:1 | As to the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not wearisome, but to you it is necessary. | As to the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord; the same things to write to you to me indeed is not tiresome, and for you [is] sure; | For the rest, my brethren, rejoice in [the] Lord: to write the same things to you, to me [is] not irksome, and for you safe. |
Philippians 3:2 | Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. | look to the dogs, look to the evil-workers, look to the concision; | See to dogs, see to evil workmen, see to the concision. |
Philippians 3:3 | For we are the circumcision, who in spirit serve God; and glory in Christ Jesus, not having confidence in the flesh. | for we are the circumcision, who by the Spirit are serving God, and glorying in Christ Jesus, and in flesh having no trust, | For *we* are the circumcision, who worship by [the] Spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and do not trust in flesh. |
Philippians 3:4 | Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other thinketh he may have confidence in the flesh, I more, | though I also have [cause of] trust in flesh. If any other one doth think to have trust in flesh, I more; | Though *I* have [my] trust even in flesh; if any other think to trust in flesh, *I* rather: |
Philippians 3:5 | Being circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; according to the law, a Pharisee: | circumcision on the eighth day! of the race of Israel! of the tribe of Benjamin! a Hebrew of Hebrews! according to law a Pharisee! | as to circumcision, [I received it] the eighth day; of [the] race of Israel, of [the] tribe of Benjamin, Hebrew of Hebrews; as to [the] law, a Pharisee; |
Philippians 3:6 | According to zeal, persecuting the church of God; according to the justice that is in the law, conversing without blame. | according to zeal persecuting the assembly! according to righteousness that is in law becoming blameless! | as to zeal, persecuting the assembly; as to righteousness which [is] in [the] law, found blameless; |
Philippians 3:7 | But the things that were gain to me, the same I have counted loss for Christ. | But what things were to me gains, these I have counted, because of the Christ, loss; | but what things were gain to me these I counted, on account of Christ, loss. |
Philippians 3:8 | Furthermore I count all things to be but loss for the excellent knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord; for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but as dung, that I may gain Christ: | yes, indeed, and I count all things to be loss, because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom of the all things I suffered loss, and do count them to be refuse, that Christ I may gain, and be found in him, | But surely I count also all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all, and count them to be filth, that I may gain Christ; |
Philippians 3:9 | And may be found in him, not having my justice, which is of the law, but that which is of the faith of Christ Jesus, which is of God, justice in faith: | not having my righteousness, which [is] of law, but that which [is] through faith of Christ the righteousness that is of God by the faith, | and that I may be found in him, not having my righteousness, which [would be] on the principle of law, but that which is by faith of Christ, the righteousness which [is] of God through faith, |
Philippians 3:10 | That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable to his death, | to know him, and the power of his rising again, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death, | to know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death, |
Philippians 3:11 | If by any means I may attain to the resurrection which is from the dead. | if anyhow I may attain to the rising again of the dead. | if any way I arrive at the resurrection from among [the] dead. |
Philippians 3:12 | Not as though I has already attained, or were already perfect; but I follow after, if I may by any means apprehend, wherein I am also apprehended by Christ Jesus. | Not that I did already obtain, or have been already perfected; but I pursue, if also I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by the Christ Jesus; | Not that I have already obtained [the prize], or am already perfected; but I pursue, if also I may get possession [of it], seeing that also I have been taken possession of by Christ [Jesus]. |
Philippians 3:13 | Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended. But one thing I do: forgetting the things that are behind, and stretching forth myself to those that are before, | brethren, I do not reckon myself to have laid hold; and one thing the things behind indeed forgetting, and to the things before stretching forth | Brethren, *I* do not count to have got possession myself; but one thing forgetting the things behind, and stretching out to the things before, |
Philippians 3:14 | I press towards the mark, to the prize of the supernal vocation of God in Christ Jesus. | to the mark I pursue for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. | I pursue, [looking] towards [the] goal, for the prize of the calling on high of God in Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 3:15 | Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded; and if in any thing you be otherwise minded, this also God will reveal to you. | As many, therefore, as [are] perfect let us think this, and if [in] anything ye think otherwise, this also shall God reveal to you, | As many therefore as [are] perfect, let us be thus minded; and if ye are any otherwise minded, this also God shall reveal to you. |
Philippians 3:16 | Nevertheless whereunto we are come, that we be of the same mind, let us also continue in the same rule. | but to what we have come by the same rule walk, the same thing think; | But whereto we have attained, [let us] walk in the same steps. |
Philippians 3:17 | Be ye followers of me, brethren, and observe them who walk so as you have our model. | become followers together of me, brethren, and observe those thus walking, according as ye have us a pattern; | Be imitators [all] together of me, brethren, and fix your eyes on those walking thus as you have us for a model; |
Philippians 3:18 | For many walk, of whom I have told you often (and now tell you weeping), that they are enemies of the cross of Christ; | for many walk of whom many times I told you and now also weeping tell the enemies of the cross of the Christ! | (for many walk of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they [are] the enemies of the cross of Christ: |
Philippians 3:19 | Whose end is destruction; whose God is their belly; and whose glory is in their shame; who mind earthly things. | whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is] the belly, and whose glory [is] in their shame, who the things on earth are minding. | whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is] the belly, and [their] glory in their shame, who mind earthly things:) |
Philippians 3:20 | But our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ, | For our citizenship is in the heavens, whence also a Saviour we await the Lord Jesus Christ | for *our* commonwealth has its existence in [the] heavens, from which also we await the Lord Jesus Christ [as] Saviour, |
Philippians 3:21 | Who will reform the body of our lowness, made like to the body of his glory, according to the operation whereby also he is able to subdue all things unto himself. | who shall transform the body of our humiliation to its becoming conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of his power, even to subject to himself the all things. | who shall transform our body of humiliation into conformity to his body of glory, according to the working of [the] power which he has even to subdue all things to himself. |
