| Colossians 4:1 | Masters, do to your servants that which is just and equal: knowing that you also have a master in heaven. | The masters! that which is righteous and equal to the servants give ye, having known that ye also have a Master in the heavens. | Masters, deal justly and equitably with your slaves, knowing that you too have a Master in Heaven. |
| Colossians 4:2 | Be instant in prayer; watching in it with thanksgiving: | In the prayer continue ye, watching in it in thanksgiving; | Be earnest and unwearied in prayer, being on the alert in it and in your giving of thanks. |
| Colossians 4:3 | Praying withal for us also, that God may open unto us a door of speech to speak the mystery of Christ (for which also I am bound;) | praying at the same time also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the secret of the Christ, because of which also I have been bound, | And pray at the same time for us also, that God may open for us a door for preaching, for us to tell the truth concerning Christ for the sake of which I am even a prisoner. |
