| Galatians 5:1 | Stand fast, and be not held again under the yoke of bondage. | In the freedom, then, with which Christ did make you free stand ye, and be not held fast again by a yoke of servitude; | Christ having made us gloriously free stand fast and do not again be hampered with the yoke of slavery. |
| Galatians 5:2 | Behold, I Paul tell you, that if you be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. | lo, I Paul do say to you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing; | Remember that it is I Paul who tell you that if you receive circumcision Christ will avail you nothing. |
| Galatians 5:3 | And I testify again to every man circumcising himself, that he is a debtor to the whole law. | and I testify again to every man circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law; | I once more protest to every man who receives circumcision that he is under obligation to obey the whole Law of Moses. |

But the man be he who he may who is troubling you, will have to bear the full weight of the judgement to be pronounced on him. |

Then is the scandal of the cross made void. | And I, brethren, if uncircumcision I yet preach, why yet am I persecuted? then hath the stumbling-block of the cross been done away; | As for me, brethren, if I am still a preacher of circumcision, how is it that I am still suffering persecution? In that case the Cross has ceased to be a stumbling-block! |
