| John 9:1 | And Jesus passing by, saw a man, who was blind from his birth: | And passing by, he saw a man blind from birth, | As He passed by, He saw a man who had been blind from his birth. |
| John 9:2 | And his disciples asked him: Rabbi, who hath sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind? | and his disciples asked him, saying, `Rabbi, who did sin, this one or his parents, that he should be born blind?` | So His disciples asked Him, "Rabbi, who sinned this man or his parents that he was born blind?" |
