Exodus 30:1Thou shalt make also an altar to burn incense, of setim wood.`And thou hast made an altar [for] making perfume; [of] shittim wood thou dost make it;"You shall make an altar to burn incense on. You shall make it of acacia wood.
Exodus 30:2It shall be a cubit in length, and another in breadth, that is, foursquare, and two in height. Horns shall go out of the same.a cubit its length, and a cubit its breadth, (it is square), and two cubits its height; its horns [are] of the same.Its length shall be a cubit, and its breadth a cubit. It shall be square, and its height shall be two cubits. Its horns shall be of one piece with it.
Exodus 30:3And thou shalt overlay it with the purest gold, as well as the grate thereof, as the walls round about and the horns. And thou shalt make to it a crown of gold round about,`And thou hast overlaid it with pure gold, its top, and its sides round about, and its horns; and thou hast made to it a crown of gold round about;You shall overlay it with pure gold, the top of it, the sides of it around it, and its horns; and you shall make a gold molding around it.
Exodus 30:4And two golden rings under the crown on either side, that the bars may be put into them, and the altar be carried.and two rings of gold thou dost make to it under its crown; on its two ribs thou dost make [them], on its two sides, and they have become places for staves, to bear it with them.You shall make two golden rings for it under its molding; on its two ribs, on its two sides you shall make them; and they shall be for places for poles with which to bear it.
Exodus 30:5And thou shalt make the bars also of setim wood, and shalt overlay them with gold.`And thou hast made the staves of shittim wood, and hast overlaid them with gold;You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.
Exodus 30:6And thou shalt set the altar over against the veil, that hangeth before the ark of the testimony before the propitiatory wherewith the testimony is covered, where I will speak to thee.and thou hast put it before the vail, which [is] by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat which [is] over the testimony, whither I am met with thee.You shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with you.
Exodus 30:7And Aaron shall burn sweet smelling incense upon it in the morning. When he shall dress the lamps, he shall burn it:`And Aaron hath made perfume on it, perfume of spices, morning by morning; in his making the lamps right he doth perfume it,Aaron shall burn incense of sweet spices on it every morning. When he tends the lamps, he shall burn it.
Exodus 30:8And when he shall place them in the evening, he shall burn an everlasting incense before the Lord throughout your generations.and in Aaron`s causing the lamps to go up between the evenings, he doth perfume it; a continual perfume before Jehovah to your generations.When Aaron lights the lamps at evening, he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before Yahweh throughout your generations.
Exodus 30:9You shall not offer upon it incense of another composition nor oblation, and victim, neither shall you offer libations.`Ye do not cause strange perfume to go up upon it, and burnt-offering, and present, and libation ye do not pour out on it;You shall offer no strange incense on it, nor burnt offering, nor meal-offering; and you shall pour no drink-offering on it.
Exodus 30:10And Aaron shall pray upon the horns thereof once a year, with the blood of that which was offered for sin, and shall make atonement upon it in your generations. It shall be most holy to the Lord.and Aaron hath made atonement on its horns, once in a year, by the blood of the sin-offering of atonements; once in a year doth he make atonement for it, to your generations; it [is] most holy to Jehovah.`Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once in the year; with the blood of the sin offering of atonement once in the year he shall make atonement for it throughout your generations. It is most holy to Yahweh."
Exodus 30:11And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
Exodus 30:12When thou shalt take the sum of the children of Israel according to their number, every one of them shall give a price for their souls to the Lord, and there shall be no scourge among them, when they shall be reckoned.`When thou takest up the sum of the sons of Israel for their numbers, then they have given each an atonement [for] his soul to Jehovah in their being numbered, and there is no plague among them in their being numbered."When you take a census of the children of Israel, according to those who are numbered among them, then each man shall give a ransom for his soul to Yahweh, when you number them; that there be no plague among them when you number them.
Exodus 30:13And this shall every one give that passeth at the naming, half a sicle according to the standard of the temple. A sicle hath twenty obols. Half a sicle shall be offered to the Lord.`This they do give, every one passing over unto those numbered, half a shekel, by the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel [is] twenty gerahs); half a shekel [is] the heave-offering to Jehovah;They shall give this, everyone who passes over to those who are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary; (the shekel is twenty gerahs;) half a shekel for an offering to Yahweh.
Exodus 30:14He that is counted in the number from twenty years and upwards, shall give the price.every one passing over unto those numbered, from a son of twenty years and upwards, doth give the heave-offering of Jehovah;Everyone who passes over to those who are numbered, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering to Yahweh.
Exodus 30:15The rich man shall not add to half a sicle, and the poor man shall diminish nothing.the rich doth not multiply, and the poor doth not diminish from the half-shekel, to give the heave-offering of Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when they give the offering of Yahweh, to make atonement for your souls.
Exodus 30:16And the money received which was contributed by the children of Israel, thou shalt deliver unto the uses of the tabernacle of the testimony, that it may be a memorial of them before the Lord, and he may be merciful to their souls.`And thou hast taken the atonement-money from the sons of Israel, and hast given it for the service of the tent of meeting; and it hath been to the sons of Israel for a memorial before Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.`You shall take the atonement money from the children of Israel, and shall appoint it for the service of the tent of meeting; that it may be a memorial for the children of Israel before Yahweh, to make atonement for your souls."
Exodus 30:17And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
Exodus 30:18Thou shalt make also a brazen laver with its foot, to wash in: and thou shalt set it between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar. And water being put into it,`And thou hast made a laver of brass (and its base of brass), for washing; and thou hast put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and hast put water there;"You shall also make a basin of brass, and the base of it of brass, in which to wash. You shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it.
Exodus 30:19Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and feet in it:and Aaron and his sons have washed at it their hands and their feet,Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet in it.
Exodus 30:20When they are going into the tabernacle of the testimony, and when they are to come to the altar, to offer on it incense to the Lord,in their going in unto the tent of meeting they wash [with] water, and die not; or in their drawing nigh unto the altar to minister, to perfume a fire-offering to Jehovah,When they go into the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water, that they not die; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn an offering made by fire to Yahweh.
Exodus 30:21Lest perhaps they die. It shall be an everlasting law to him, and to his seed by successions.then they have washed their hands and their feet, and they die not, and it hath been to them a statute age-during, to him and to his seed to their generations.`So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they not die: and it shall be a statute forever to them, even to him and to his descendants throughout their generations."
Exodus 30:22And the Lord spoke to Moses,And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,Moreover Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
Exodus 30:23Saying: Take spices, of principal and chosen myrrh five hundred sicles, and of cinnamon half so much, that is, two hundred and fifty sicles, of calamus in like manner two hundred and fifty.`And thou, take to thyself principal spices, wild honey five hundred [shekels]; and spice-cinnamon, the half of that, two hundred and fifty; and spice-cane two hundred and fifty;"Also take fine spices: of liquid myrrh, five hundred shekels; and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, even two hundred and fifty; and of fragrant cane, two hundred and fifty;
Exodus 30:24And of cassia five hundred sicles by the weight of the sanctuary, of oil of olives the measure hin:and cassia five hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary, and olive oil a hin;and of cassia five hundred, after the shekel of the sanctuary; and a hin of olive oil.
Exodus 30:25And thou shalt make the holy oil of unction, an ointment compounded after the art of the perfumer,and thou hast made it a holy anointing oil, a compound mixture, work of a compounder; it is a holy anointing oil.You shall make it a holy anointing oil, a perfume compounded after the art of the perfumer: it shall be a holy anointing oil.
Exodus 30:26And therewith thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the testimony, and the ark of the testament,`And thou hast anointed with it the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony,You shall use it to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony,
Exodus 30:27And the table with the vessels thereof, the candlestick and furniture thereof, the altars of incense,and the table and all its vessels, and the candlestick and its vessels, and the altar of perfume,the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense,
Exodus 30:28And of holocaust, and all the furniture that belongeth to the service of them.and the altar of burnt-offering and all its vessels, and the laver and its base;the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its base.
Exodus 30:29And thou shalt sanctify all, and they shall be most holy: he that shall touch them shall be sanctified.and thou hast sanctified them, and they have been most holy; all that is coming against them is holy;You shall sanctify them, that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them shall be holy.
Exodus 30:30Thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and shalt sanctify them, that they may do the office of priesthood unto me.and Aaron and his sons thou dost anoint, and hast sanctified them for being priests to Me.You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and sanctify them, that they may minister to me in the priest's office.
Exodus 30:31And thou shalt say to the children of Israel: This oil of unction shall be holy unto me throughout your generations.`And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, A holy anointing oil is this to Me, to your generations;You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'This shall be a holy anointing oil to me throughout your generations.
Exodus 30:32The flesh of man shall not be anointed therewith, and you shall make none other of the same composition, because it is sanctified, and shall be holy unto you.on flesh of man it is not poured, and with its proper proportion ye make none like it; it [is] holy; it is holy to you;It shall not be poured on man's flesh, neither shall you make any like it, according to its composition: it is holy. It shall be holy to you.
Exodus 30:33What man soever shall compound such, and shall give thereof to a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.a man who compoundeth [any] like it, or who putteth of it on a stranger hath even been cut off from his people.`Whoever compounds any like it, or whoever puts any of it on a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.'"
Exodus 30:34And the Lord said to Moses: Take unto thee spices, stacte, and onycha, galbanum of sweet savour, and the clearest frankincense, all shall be of equal weight.And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Take to thee spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, spices and pure frankincense; they are part for part;Yahweh said to Moses, "Take to yourself sweet spices, gum resin, and onycha, and galbanum; sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be an equal weight;
Exodus 30:35And thou shalt make incense compounded by the work of the perfumer, well tempered together, and pure, and most worthy of sanctification.and thou hast made it a perfume, a compound, work of a compounder, salted, pure, holy;and you shall make incense of it, a perfume after the art of the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy:
Exodus 30:36And when thou has beaten all into very small powder, thou shalt set of it before the tabernacle of the testimony, in the place where I will appear to thee. Most holy shall this incense be to you.and thou hast beaten [some] of it small, and hast put of it before the testimony, in the tent of meeting, whither I am met with thee; most holy it is to you.and you shall beat some of it very small, and put some of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be to you most holy.
Exodus 30:37You shall not make such a composition for your own uses, because it is holy to the Lord.`As to the perfume which thou makest, with its proper proportion ye do not make to yourselves, holy it is to thee to Jehovah;The incense which you shall make, according to its composition you shall not make for yourselves: it shall be to you holy for Yahweh.
Exodus 30:38What man soever shall make the like, to enjoy the smell thereof, he shall perish out of his people.a man who maketh [any] like it to be refreshed by it hath even been cut off from his people.`Whoever shall make any like that, to smell of it, he shall be cut off from his people."
