Exodus 8:1And the Lord said to Moses: Go in to Pharao, and thou shalt say to him: Thus saith the Lord: Let my people go to sacrifice to me.And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go in unto Pharaoh: and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, Send My people away, and they serve Me;Yahweh spoke to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, "This is what Yahweh says, 'Let my people go, that they may serve me.
Exodus 8:2But if thou wilt not let them go behold I will strike all thy coasts with frogs.and if thou art refusing to send away, lo, I am smiting all thy border with frogs;If you refuse to let them go, behold, I will plague all your borders with frogs:
Exodus 8:3And the river shall bring forth an abundance of frogs: which shall come up, and enter into thy house, and thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and in the houses of thy servants, and to thy people, and into thy ovens, and into the remains of thy meats;and the River hath teemed [with] frogs, and they have gone up and gone into thy house, and into the inner-chamber of thy bed, and on thy couch, and into the house of thy servants, and among thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneading-troughs;and the river shall swarm with frogs, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedchamber, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading-troughs:
Exodus 8:4And the frogs shall come in to thee and to thy people, and to all thy servants.yea, on thee, and on thy people, and on all thy servants do the frogs go up.`and the frogs shall come up both on you, and on your people, and on all your servants.'"
Exodus 8:5And the Lord said to Moses: Say to Aaron, Stretch forth thy hand upon the streams and upon the rivers and the pools, and bring forth frogs upon the land of Egypt.And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy hand, with thy rod, against the streams, against the rivers, and against the ponds, and cause the frogs to come up against the land of Egypt.`Yahweh said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, 'Stretch forth your hand with your rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.'"
Exodus 8:6And Aaron stretched forth his hand upon the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.And Aaron stretcheth out his hand against the waters of Egypt, and the frog cometh up, and covereth the land of Egypt;Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
Exodus 8:7And the magicians also by their enchantments did in like manner, and the brought forth frogs upon all the land of Egyptand the scribes do so with their flashings, and cause the frogs to come up against the land of Egypt.The magicians did in like manner with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.
Exodus 8:8But Pharao called Moses and Aaron and said to them: Pray ye to the Lord to take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.And Pharaoh calleth for Moses and for Aaron, and saith, `Make supplication unto Jehovah, that he turn aside the frogs from me, and from my people, and I send the people away, and they sacrifice to Jehovah.`Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, "Entreat Yahweh, that he take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to Yahweh."
Exodus 8:9And Moses said to Pharao: Set me a time when I shall pray for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, that the frogs may be driven away from thee and from thy house, and from thy servants, and from thy people: and may remain only in the river.And Moses saith to Pharaoh, `Beautify thyself over me; when do I make supplication for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to cut off the frogs from thee and from thy houses only in the River they do remain?`Moses said to Pharaoh, "I give you the honor of setting the time that I should pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses, and remain in the river only."
Exodus 8:10And he answered: Tomorrow. But he said: I will do according to thy word; that thou mayst know that there is none like to the Lord our God.and he saith, `To-morrow.` And he saith, According to thy word [it is], so that thou knowest that there is none like Jehovah our God,He said, "Tomorrow." He said, "Be it according to your word, that you may know that there is none like Yahweh our God.
Exodus 8:11And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy house, and from thy servants, and from thy people; and shall remain only in the river.and the frogs have turned aside from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; only in the River they do remain.`The frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people. They shall remain in the river only."
Exodus 8:12And Moses and Aaron went forth from Pharao: and Moses cried to the Lord for the promise, which he had made to Pharao concerning the frogs.And Moses Aaron also goeth out from Pharaoh, and Moses crieth unto Jehovah, concerning the matter of the frogs which He hath set on Pharaoh;Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and Moses cried to Yahweh concerning the frogs which he had brought on Pharaoh.
Exodus 8:13And the Lord did according to the word of Moses: and the frogs died out of the houses, and out of the villages, and out of the fields:and Jehovah doth according to the word of Moses, and the frogs die out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields,Yahweh did according to the word of Moses, and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields.
Exodus 8:14And they gathered them together into immense heaps, and the land was corrupted.and they heap them up together, and the land stinketh.They gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.
Exodus 8:15And Pharao seeing that rest was given, hardened his own heart, and did not hear them, as the Lord had commanded.And Pharaoh seeth that there hath been a respite, and he hath hardened his heart, and hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken.But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and didn't listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken.
Exodus 8:16And the Lord said to Moses: Say to Aaron, Stretch forth thy rod, and strike the dust of the earth: and may there be sciniphs in all the land of Egypt.And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, and it hath become gnats in all the land of Egypt.`Yahweh said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, 'Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the earth, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.'"
Exodus 8:17And they did so. And Aaron stretched forth his hand, holding the rod: and he struck the dust of the earth, and there came sciniphs on men and on beasts: all the dust of the earth was turned into sciniphs through all the land of Egypt.And they do so, and Aaron stretcheth out his hand with his rod, and smiteth the dust of the land, and the gnats are on man and on beast; all the dust of the land hath been gnats in all the land of Egypt.They did so; and Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and struck the dust of the earth, and there were lice on man, and on animal; all the dust of the earth became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
Exodus 8:18And the magicians with their enchantments practiced in like manner, to bring forth sciniphs, and they could not and there were sciniphs as well on men as on beasts.And the scribes do so with their flashings, to bring out the gnats, and they have not been able, and the gnats are on man and on beast;The magicians tried with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they couldn't. There were lice on man, and on animal.
Exodus 8:19And the magicians said to Pharao This is the finger of God. And Pharao heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them, as the Lord had commanded.and the scribes say unto Pharaoh, `It [is] the finger of God;` and the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken.Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God:" and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he didn't listen to them; as Yahweh had spoken.
Exodus 8:20The Lord also said to Moses: Arise early, and stand before Pharao: for he will go forth to the waters: and thou shalt say to him: Thus saith the Lord: Let my people go to sacrifice to me.And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Rise early in the morning, and station thyself before Pharaoh, lo, he is going out to the waters, and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, Send My people away, and they serve Me;Yahweh said to Moses, "Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; behold, he comes forth to the water; and tell him, 'This is what Yahweh says, "Let my people go, that they may serve me.
Exodus 8:21But if thou wilt not let them go, behold I will send in upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy houses all kind of flies: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be filled with flies of divers kinds, and the whole land wherein they shall be.for, if thou art not sending My people away, lo, I am sending against thee, and against thy servants, and against thy people, and against thy houses, the beetle, and the houses of the Egyptians have been full of the beetle, and also the ground on which they are.Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you, and on your servants, and on your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
Exodus 8:22And I will make the land of Gessen wherein my people is, wonderful in that lay, so that flies shall not be there: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.`And I have separated in that day the land of Goshen, in which My people are staying, that the beetle is not there, so that thou knowest that I [am] Jehovah in the midst of the land,I will set apart in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end you may know that I am Yahweh in the midst of the earth.
Exodus 8:23And I will put a division between my people and thy people: tomorrow shall this sign be.and I have put a division between My people and thy people: to-morrow is this sign.`I will put a division between my people and your people: by tomorrow shall this sign be."'"
Exodus 8:24And the Lord did so. And there came a very grievous swarm of flies into he houses of Pharao and of his servants, and into all the land of Egypt: and the land was corrupted by this kind of flies.And Jehovah doth so, and the grievous beetle entereth the house of Pharaoh, and the house of his servants, and in all the land of Egypt the land is corrupted from the presence of the beetle.Yahweh did so; and there came grievous swarms of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses: and in all the land of Egypt the land was corrupted by reason of the swarms of flies.
Exodus 8:25And Pharao called Moses and Aaron, and said to them: Go, and sacrifice to your God in this land.And Pharaoh calleth unto Moses and to Aaron, and saith, `Go, sacrifice to your God in the land;`Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, "Go, sacrifice to your God in the land!"
Exodus 8:26And Moses said: It cannot be so: for we shall sacrifice the abominations of the Egyptians to the Lord our God: now if we kill those things which the Egyptians worship, in their presence, they will stone us.and Moses saith, `Not right to do so, for the abomination of the Egyptians we do sacrifice to Jehovah our God; lo, we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes and they do not stone us!Moses said, "It isn't appropriate to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to Yahweh our God. Behold, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and won't they stone us?
Exodus 8:27We will go three days' journey into the wilderness: and we will sacrifice to the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.A journey of three days we go into the wilderness, and have sacrificed to Jehovah our God, as He saith unto us.`We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Yahweh our God, as he shall command us."
Exodus 8:28And Pharao said: I will let you go to sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness: but go no farther: pray for me.And Pharaoh saith, `I send you away, and ye have sacrificed to Jehovah your God in the wilderness, only go not very far off; make ye supplication for me;`Pharaoh said, "I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to Yahweh your God in the wilderness, only you shall not go very far away. Pray for me."
Exodus 8:29And Moses said: I will go out from thee, and will pray to the Lord: and the flies shall depart from Pharao, and from his servants, and from his people tomorrow: but do not deceive any more, in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.and Moses saith, `Lo, I am going out from thee, and have made supplication unto Jehovah, and the beetle hath turned aside from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people to-morrow, only let not Pharaoh add to deceive in not sending the people away to sacrifice to Jehovah.`Moses said, "Behold, I go out from you, and I will pray to Yahweh that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow; only don't let Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to Yahweh."
Exodus 8:30So Moses went out from Pharao, and prayed to the Lord.And Moses goeth out from Pharaoh, and maketh supplication unto Jehovah,Moses went out from Pharaoh, and prayed to Yahweh.
Exodus 8:31And he did according to his word: and he took away the flies from Pharao, and from his servants, and from his people: there was not left so much as one.and Jehovah doth according to the word of Moses, and turneth aside the beetle from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people there hath not been left one;Yahweh did according to the word of Moses, and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. There remained not one.
Exodus 8:32And Pharao's heart was hardened, so that neither this time would he let the people go.and Pharaoh hardeneth his heart also at this time, and hath not sent the people away.Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and he didn't let the people go.
