| Matthew 19:1 | And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan; | And it came to pass when Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judaea beyond the Jordan; | When Jesus had finished these discourses, He removed from Galilee and came into that part of Judaea which lay beyond the Jordan. |
| Matthew 19:2 | And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. | and great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. | And a vast multitude followed him, and He cured them there. |
| Matthew 19:3 | The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? | And there came unto him Pharisees, trying him, and saying, Is it lawful [for a man] to put away his wife for every cause? | Then came some of the Pharisees to Him to put Him to the proof by the question, "Has a man a right to divorce his wife whenever he chooses?" |

| Matthew 19:5 | And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? | and said, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh? | and said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two shall be one'? |

But if you desire to enter into Life, keep the Commandments." |
