| Galatians 5:1 | Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. | Christ has truly made us free: then keep your free condition and let no man put a yoke on you again. | Christ has set us free in freedom; stand fast therefore, and be not held again in a yoke of bondage. |
| Galatians 5:2 | Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. | See, I Paul say to you, that if you undergo circumcision, Christ will be of no use to you. | Behold, I, Paul, say to you, that if ye are circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. |
| Galatians 5:3 | For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. | Yes, I give witness again to every man who undergoes circumcision, that he will have to keep all the law. | And I witness again to every man [who is] circumcised, that he is debtor to do the whole law. |

Then the scandal of the cross has been done away. |
