Mark 8:1 | In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them, | In those days, there being again a great crowd, and they having nothing that they could eat, having called his disciples to [him], he says to them, | In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself, and said to them, |
Mark 8:2 | I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: | I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me already three days and they have not anything they can eat, | "I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat. |
Mark 8:3 | And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far. | and if I should dismiss them to their home fasting, they will faint on the way; for some of them are come from far. | If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way." |
Mark 8:4 | And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? | And his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to satisfy these with bread here in a desert place? | His disciples answered him, "From where will one be able to fill these men with bread here in a desert place?" |
Mark 8:5 | And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven. | And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven. | He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven." |
Mark 8:6 | And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people. | And he commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, he gave thanks, and broke [them] and gave [them] to his disciples, that they might set [them] before [them]; and they set [them] before the crowd. | He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves.
