| Matthew 25:1 | Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. | Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like to ten virgins, who taking their lamps went out to meet the bridegroom and the bride. | "Then will the Kingdom of the Heavens be found to be like ten bridesmaids who took their torches and went out to meet the bridegroom. |
| Matthew 25:2 | And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. | And five of them were foolish, and five wise. | Five of them were foolish and five were wise. |
| Matthew 25:3 | They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: | But the five foolish, having taken their lamps, did not take oil with them: | For the foolish, when they took their torches, did not provide themselves with oil; |

| Matthew 25:21 | His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. | His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant, because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. | "`You have done well, good and trustworthy servant,' replied his master; `you have been trustworthy in the management of a little, I will put you in charge of much: share your master's joy.' |
