Mark 9:1And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. And he said to them, Verily I say to you, that there are some of them that stand here who shall not taste death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.He said to them, "Most assuredly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death, until they see the kingdom of God come with power."
Mark 9:2And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And after six days, Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up upon a high mountain apart by themselves; and he was transfigured before them.After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.
Mark 9:3And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can whiten them.His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
Mark 9:4And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. And there appeared to them Elijah, with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.
Mark 9:5And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.Peter answered Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let's make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
Mark 9:6For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. For he knew not what to say: for they were greatly terrified.For he didn't know what to say, for they were very afraid.
Mark 9:7And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, "This is my beloved Son. Listen to him."
Mark 9:8And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves. And suddenly, when they had looked around, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Jesus only.

Mark 9:12And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. And he answered and told them, Elijah verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written concerning the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at naught.He said to them, "Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?
Mark 9:13But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him. But I say to you, that Elijah is indeed come, and they have done to him whatever they pleased, as it is written concerning him.But I tell you, that Elijah has come, and they have also done to him whatever they wanted to, even as it is written about him."

Mark 9:17And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought to thee my son, who hath a dumb spirit;One of the multitude answered, "Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit;
Mark 9:18And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. And wherever he taketh him, he teareth him; and he foameth and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away; and I spoke to thy disciples that they should cast him out, and they could not.and wherever it seizes him, it dashes him down, and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and wastes away. I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they weren't able."
Mark 9:19He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. He answered him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you, how long shall I suffer you? bring him to me.He answered them, "Unbelieving generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I bear with you? Bring him to me."
Mark 9:20And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. And they brought him to him: and when he saw him, immediately the spirit tore him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed, foaming.They brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground, wallowing and foaming at the mouth.
Mark 9:21And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. And he asked his father, How long is it since this came to him? and he said, From a child.He asked his father, "How long has it been since this has come to him?" He said, "From childhood.
Mark 9:22And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. And often it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.Often it has cast him both into the fire and into the water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us, and help us."

Mark 9:24And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. Mark 9:25When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying to him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, "You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter no more into him!"
Mark 9:26And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. And the spirit cried, and rent him severely, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; so that many said, He is dead.Having cried out, and convulsed him greatly, it came out. The boy became like one dead; so much that most of them said, "He is dead."

Mark 9:28And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? Mark 9:29And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. And he said to them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting."
Mark 9:30And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it. And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.They went forth from there, and passed through Galilee. He didn't want anyone to know it.
Mark 9:31For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day. For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him; and after that he is killed, he will rise the third day.For he taught his disciples, and said to them, "The Son of Man is delivered up into the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again."

Mark 9:33And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way? And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house, he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?He came to Capernaum, and when he was in the house he asked them, "What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?"
Mark 9:34But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest. Mark 9:35And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. Mark 9:36And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said to them,He took a little child, and set him in the midst of them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,
Mark 9:37Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. Whoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me."Whoever receives one such little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me, doesn't receive me, but him who sent me."
Mark 9:38And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name, and he followeth not us; and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.John said to him, "Teacher, we saw someone who doesn't follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn't follow us."
Mark 9:39But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. But Jesus said, Forbid him not; for there is no man who shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.But Jesus said, "Don't forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.
Mark 9:40For he that is not against us is on our part. For he that is not against us, is on our part.For whoever is not against us is on our side.
Mark 9:41For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. For whoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Christ's, most assuredly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.
Mark 9:42And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. And whoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe in me, to fall into sin, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Mark 9:43And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: And if thy hand causeth thee to fall into sin, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,
Mark 9:44Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.'where their worm doesn't die, and the fire is not quenched.'
Mark 9:45And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: And if thy foot causeth thee to fall into sin, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched

Mark 9:47And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: And if thy eye causeth thee to fall into sin, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes, to be cast into hell-fire.If your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out. It is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire,
Mark 9:48Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.'where their worm doesn't die, and the fire is not quenched.'
Mark 9:49For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
Mark 9:50Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
