Matthew 24:1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. Jesus had left the Temple and was going on His way, when His disciples came and called His attention to the Temple buildings.And Jesus being come out of the temple, went away. And his disciples came to shew him the buildings of the temple.
Matthew 24:2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. "You see all these?" He replied; "in solemn truth I tell you that there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be pulled down."And he answering, said to them: Do you see all these things? Amen I say to you there shall not be left here a stone upon a stone that shall not be destroyed.
Matthew 24:3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Afterwards He was on the Mount of Olives and was seated there when the disciples came to Him, apart from the others, and said, "Tell us when this will be; and what will be the sign of your Coming and of the Close of the Age?"And when he was sitting on mount Olivet, the disciples came to him privately, saying: Tell us when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the consummation of the world?
Matthew 24:4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. "Take care that no one misleads you," answered Jesus;And Jesus answering, said to them: Take heed that no man seduce you:
Matthew 24:5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. "for many will come assuming my name and saying `I am the Christ;' and they will mislead many.For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ: and they will seduce many.
Matthew 24:6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. And before long you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. Do not be alarmed, for such things must be; but the End is not yet.And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Matthew 24:7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. For nation will rise in arms against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places;For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places:
Matthew 24:8All these are the beginning of sorrows. but all these miseries are but like the early pains of childbirth.Now all these are the beginnings of sorrows.
Matthew 24:9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. "At that time they will deliver you up to punishment and will put you to death; and you will be objects of hatred to all the nations because you are called by my name.Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall put you to death: and you shall be hated by all nations for my name's sake.
Matthew 24:10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Then will many stumble and fall, and they will betray one another and hate one another.And then shall many be scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one another.
Matthew 24:11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Many false prophets will rise up and lead multitudes astray;And many false prophets shall rise, and shall seduce many.
Matthew 24:12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. and because of the prevalent disregard of God's law the love of the great majority will grow cold;And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold.
Matthew 24:13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. but those who stand firm to the End shall be saved.But he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved.
Matthew 24:14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. And this Good News of the Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world to set the evidence before all the Gentiles; and then the End will come.And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come.
Matthew 24:15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) "When you have seen (to use the language of the Prophet Daniel) the `Abomination of Desolation', standing in the Holy Place" let the reader observe those wordsWhen therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand.
Matthew 24:16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: "then let those who are in Judaea escape to the hills;Then they that are in Judea, let them flee to the mountains:
Matthew 24:17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: let him who is on the roof not go down to fetch what is in his house;And he that is on the housetop, let him not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Matthew 24:18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. nor let him who is outside the city stay to pick up his outer garment.And he that is in the field, let him not go back to take his coat.
Matthew 24:19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! And alas for the women who at that time are with child or have infants!And woe to them that are with child, and that give suck in those days.
Matthew 24:20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: "But pray that your flight may not be in winter, nor on the Sabbath;But pray that your flight be not in the winter, or on the sabbath.
Matthew 24:21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. for it will be a time of great suffering, such as never has been from the beginning of the world till now, and assuredly never will be again.For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be.
Matthew 24:22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. And if those days had not been cut short, no one would escape; but for the sake of God's own People those days will be cut short.And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.
Matthew 24:23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. "If at that time any one should say to you, `See, here is the Christ!' or `Here!' give no credence to it.Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him.
Matthew 24:24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets, displaying wonderful signs and prodigies, so as to deceive, were it possible, even God's own People.For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect.
Matthew 24:25Behold, I have told you before. Remember, I have forewarned you.Behold I have told it to you, beforehand.
Matthew 24:26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. If therefore they should say to you, `See, He is in the Desert!' do not go out there: or `See, He is indoors in the room!' do not believe it.If therefore they shall say to you: Behold he is in the desert, go ye not out: Behold he is in the closets, believe it not.
Matthew 24:27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For just as the lightning flashes in the east and is seen to the very west, so will be the Coming of the Son of Man.For as lightning cometh out of the east, and appeareth even into the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:28For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Wherever the dead body is, there will the vultures flock together.Wheresoever the body shall be, there shall the eagles also be gathered together.
Matthew 24:29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: "But immediately after those times of distress the sun will be darkened, the moon will not shed her light, the stars will fall from the firmament, and the forces which control the heavens will be disordered and disturbed.And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be moved:
Matthew 24:30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Then will appear the Sign of the Son of Man in the sky; and then will all the nations of the earth lament, when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with great power and glory.And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn: and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with much power and majesty.
Matthew 24:31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet-blast, and they will bring together His own People to Him from north, south, east and west from one extremity of the world to the other.And he shall send his angels with a trumpet, and a great voice: and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the farthest parts of the heavens to the utmost bounds of them.
Matthew 24:32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: "Now learn from the fig-tree the lesson it teaches. As soon as its branches have now become soft and it is bursting into leaf, you all know that summer is near.And from the fig tree learn a parable: When the branch thereof is now tender, and the leaves come forth, you know that summer is nigh.
Matthew 24:33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. So you also, when you see all these signs, may be sure that He is near at your very door.So you also, when you shall see all these things, know ye that it is nigh, even at the doors.
Matthew 24:34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. I tell you in solemn truth that the present generation will certainly not pass away without all these things having first taken place.Amen I say to you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
Matthew 24:35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Earth and sky will pass away, but it is certain that my words will not pass away.Heaven and earth shall pass, but my words shall not pass.
Matthew 24:36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. "But as to that day and the exact time no one knows not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.But of that day and hour no one knoweth, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone.
Matthew 24:37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. `For as it was in the time of Noah, so it will be at the Coming of the Son of Man.And as in the days of Noe, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, At that time, before the Deluge, men were busy eating and drinking, taking wives or giving them, up to the very day when Noah entered the Ark,For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, even till that day in which Noe entered into the ark,
Matthew 24:39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. nor did they realise any danger till the Deluge came and swept them all away; so will it be at the Coming of the Son of Man.And they knew not till the flood came, and took them all away; so also shall the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Then will two men be in the open country: one will be taken away, and one left behind.Then two shall be in the field: one shall be taken, and one shall be left.
Matthew 24:41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken away, and one left behind.Two women shall be grinding at the mill: one shall be taken, and one shall be left.
Matthew 24:42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Be on the alert therefore, for you do not know the day on which your Lord is coming.Watch ye therefore, because ye know not what hour your Lord will come.
Matthew 24:43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. But of this be assured, that if the master of the house had known the hour at which the robber was coming, he would have kept awake, and not have allowed his house to be broken into.But know this ye, that if the goodman of the house knew at what hour the thief would come, he would certainly watch, and would not suffer his house to be broken open.
Matthew 24:44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Therefore you also must be ready; for it is at a time when you do not expect Him that the Son of Man will come.Wherefore be you also ready, because at what hour you know not the Son of man will come.
Matthew 24:45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? "Who therefore is the loyal and intelligent servant to whom his master has entrusted the control of his household to give them their rations at the appointed time?Who, thinkest thou, is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath appointed over his family, to give them meat in season.
Matthew 24:46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes shall find so doing!Blessed is that servant, whom when his lord shall come he shall find so doing.
Matthew 24:47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. In solemn truth I tell you that he will give him the management of all his wealth.Amen I say to you, he shall place him over all his goods.
Matthew 24:48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; But if the man, being a bad servant, should say in his heart, `My master is a long time in coming,'But if that evil servant shall say in his heart: My lord is long a coming:
Matthew 24:49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; and should begin to beat his fellow servants, while he eats and drinks with drunkards;And shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and shall eat and drink with drunkards:
Matthew 24:50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, the master of that servant will arrive on a day when he is not expecting him and at an hour of which he has not been informed;The lord of that servant shall come in a day that he hopeth not, and at an hour that he knoweth not:
Matthew 24:51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. he will treat him with the utmost severity and assign him a place among the hypocrites: there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.And shall separate him, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
