| Acts 23:1 | And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. | Paul, looking steadfastly at the council, said, "Brothers, I have lived before God in all good conscience until this day." | And Paul, fixing his eyes on the council, said, Brethren, I have walked in all good conscience with God unto this day. |

| Acts 23:3 | Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? | Then said Paul to him, "God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to judge me according to the law, and command me to be struck contrary to the law?" | Then Paul said to him, God will smite thee, whited wall.
