| Ezekiel 18:1 | The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying, | The word of Yahweh came to me again, saying, | And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: What is the meaning? |
| Ezekiel 18:2 | What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge? | What do you mean, that you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge? | That you use among you this parable as a proverb in the land of Israel, saying: The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the teeth of the children are set on edge. |
| Ezekiel 18:3 | As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel. | As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, you shall not have [occasion] any more to use this proverb in Israel. | As I live, saith the Lord God, this parable shall be no more to you a proverb in Israel. |

All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. | But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? None of his righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered: in his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them shall he die. | But if the just man turn himself away from his justice, and do iniquity according to all the abominations which the wicked man useth to work, shall he live? all his justices which he hath done, shall not be remembered: in the prevarication, by which he hath prevaricated, and in his sin, which he hath committed, in them he shall die. |
