Hosea 5:1Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor. Hear this, you priests, and listen, house of Israel, and give ear, house of the king; for to you pertains the judgment; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.Hear ye this, O priests, and hearken, O ye house of Israel, and give ear, O house of the king: for there is a judgment against you, because you have been a snare to them whom you should have watched over, and a net spread upon Thabor.
Hosea 5:2And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all. The rebels have gone deep in making slaughter; but I discipline them all.And you have turned aside victims into the depth: and I am, the teacher of them all.
Hosea 5:3I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled. I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now, Ephraim, you have played the prostitute, Israel is defiled.I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now Ephraim hath committed fornication, Israel is defiled.
Hosea 5:4They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD. Their doings will not allow them to turn to their God; for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they don't know Yahweh. They will not set their thoughts to return to their God: for the spirit of fornication is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord.
Hosea 5:5And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them. The pride of Israel does testify to his face: therefore Israel and Ephraim shall stumble in their iniquity; Judah also shall stumble with them. And the pride of Israel shall answer in his face: and Israel and Ephraim shall fall in their iniquity, Juda also shall fall with them.
Hosea 5:6They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them. They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Yahweh; but they shall not find him: he has withdrawn himself from them. With their flocks, and with their herds, they shall go to seek the Lord, and shall not find him: he is withdrawn from them.
Hosea 5:7They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions. They have dealt treacherously against Yahweh; for they have borne strange children: now shall the new moon devour them with their fields. They have transgressed against the Lord, for they have begotten children that are strangers: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
Hosea 5:8Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Beth-aven, after thee, O Benjamin. Blow you the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: sound an alarm at Beth-aven; behind you, Benjamin.Blow ye the cornet in Gabaa, the trumpet in Rama: howl ye in Bethaven, behind thy back, O Benjamin.
Hosea 5:9Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be. Ephraim shall become a desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.Ephraim shall be in desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel I have shewn that which shall surely be.
Hosea 5:10The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water. The princes of Judah are like those who remove the landmark: I will pour out my wrath on them like water. The princes of Juda are become as they that take up the bound: I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
Hosea 5:11Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment. Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment; because he was content to walk after [man's] command.Ephraim is under oppression, and broken in judgment: because he began to go after filthiness.
Hosea 5:12Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness. Therefore am I to Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness. And I will be like a moth to Ephraim: and like rottenness to the house of Juda.
Hosea 5:13When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound. When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah [saw] his wound, then went Ephraim to Assyria, and sent to king Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound. And Ephraim saw his sickness, and Juda his band: and Ephraim went to the Assyrian, and sent to the avenging king: and he shall not be able to heal you, neither shall he be able to take off the band from you.
Hosea 5:14For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him. For I will be to Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will carry off, and there shall be none to deliver. For I will be like a lioness to Ephraim, and like a lion's whelp to the house of Juda: I, I will catch, and go: I will take away, and there is none that can rescue.
Hosea 5:15I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me earnestly.I will go and return to my place: until you are consumed, and seek my face.
