Exodus 19:1In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai. In the third month of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in this day they have come into the wilderness of Sinai,In the third month after the departure of the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they [into] the wilderness of Sinai:
Exodus 19:2For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount. and they journey from Rephidim, and enter the wilderness of Sinai, and encamp in the wilderness; and Israel encampeth there before the mount.they departed from Rephidim, and came [into] the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in the wilderness; and Israel encamped there before the mountain.
Exodus 19:3And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; And Moses hath gone up unto God, and Jehovah calleth unto him out of the mount, saying, `Thus dost thou say to the house of Jacob, and declare to the sons of Israel,And Moses went up to God, and Jehovah called to him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:
Exodus 19:4Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. Ye ye have seen that which I have done to the Egyptians, and I bear you on eagles` wings, and bring you in unto Myself.Ye have seen what I have done to the Egyptians, and [how] I have borne you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself.
Exodus 19:5Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: `And now, if ye really hearken to My voice, then ye have kept My covenant, and been to Me a peculiar treasure more than all the peoples, for all the earth [is] Mine;And now, if ye will hearken to my voice indeed and keep my covenant, then shall ye be my own possession out of all the peoples for all the earth is mine
Exodus 19:6And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. and ye ye are to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation: these [are] the words which thou dost speak unto the sons of Israel.`and ye shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak to the children of Israel.
Exodus 19:7And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him. And Moses cometh, and calleth for the elders of the people, and setteth before them all these words which Jehovah hath commanded him;And Moses came and called the elders of the people, and laid before the mall these words which Jehovah had commanded him.
Exodus 19:8And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD. and all the people answer together and say, `All that Jehovah hath spoken we do;` and Moses returneth the words of the people unto Jehovah.And all the people answered together, and said, All that Jehovah has spoken will we do! And Moses brought the words of the people back to Jehovah.
Exodus 19:9And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD. And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Lo, I am coming unto thee in the thickness of the cloud, so that the people hear in My speaking with thee, and also believe in thee to the age;` and Moses declareth the words of the people unto Jehovah.And Jehovah said to Moses, Lo, I will come to thee in the cloud's thick darkness, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee also for ever. And Moses told the words of the people to Jehovah.
Exodus 19:10And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go unto the people; and thou hast sanctified them to-day and to-morrow, and they have washed their garments,And Jehovah said to Moses, Go to the people, and hallow them to-day and to-morrow, and let them wash their clothes;
Exodus 19:11And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. and have been prepared for the third day; for on the third day doth Jehovah come down before the eyes of all the people, on mount Sinai.and let them be ready for the third day; for on the third day Jehovah will come down before the eyes of all the people on mount Sinai.
Exodus 19:12And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: `And thou hast made a border [for] the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, going up into the mount, or coming against its extremity; whoever is coming against the mount is certainly put to death;And set bounds round about the people, saying, Take heed to yourselves, [not] to go up unto the mountain nor touch the border of it: whatever toucheth the mountain shall certainly be put to death:
Exodus 19:13There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. a hand cometh not against him, for he is certainly stoned or shot through, whether beast or man it liveth not; in the drawing out of the jubilee cornet they go up into the mount.`not a hand shall touch it, but it shall certainly be stoned, or shot through; whether it be a beast or a man, it shall not live. When the long drawn note of the trumpet soundeth, they shall come up to the mountain.
Exodus 19:14And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. And Moses cometh down from the mount unto the people, and sanctifieth the people, and they wash their garments;And Moses came down from the mountain to the people, and hallowed the people; and they washed their clothes.
Exodus 19:15And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives. and he saith unto the people, `Be ye prepared for the third day, come not nigh unto a woman.`And he said to the people, Be ready for the third day; do not come near [your] wives.
Exodus 19:16And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. And it cometh to pass, on the third day, while it is morning, that there are voices, and lightnings, and a heavy cloud, on the mount, and the sound of a trumpet very strong; and all the people who [are] in the camp do tremble.And it came to pass on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunders and lightnings and a heavy cloud on the mountain, and the sound of the trumpet exceeding loud; and the whole people that was in the camp trembled.
Exodus 19:17And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. And Moses bringeth out the people to meet God from the camp, and they station themselves at the lower part of the mount,And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the foot of the mountain.
Exodus 19:18And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. and mount Sinai [is] wholly a smoke from the presence of Jehovah, who hath come down on it in fire, and its smoke goeth up as smoke of the furnace, and the whole mount trembleth exceedingly;And the whole of mount Sinai smoked, because Jehovah descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended as the smoke of a furnace; and the whole mountain shook greatly.
Exodus 19:19And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. and the sound of the trumpet is going on, and very strong; Moses speaketh, and God doth answer him with a voice.And the sound of the trumpet increased and became exceeding loud; Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.
Exodus 19:20And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. And Jehovah cometh down on mount Sinai, unto the top of the mount, and Jehovah calleth for Moses unto the top of the mount, and Moses goeth up.And Jehovah came down on mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain; and Jehovah called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
Exodus 19:21And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish. And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go down, protest to the people, lest they break through unto Jehovah to see, and many of them have fallen;And Jehovah said to Moses, Go down, testify to the people that they break not through to Jehovah to gaze, and many of them perish.
Exodus 19:22And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them. and also the priests who are coming nigh unto Jehovah do sanctify themselves, lest Jehovah break forth on them.`And the priests also, who come near to Jehovah, shall hallow themselves, lest Jehovah break forth on them.
Exodus 19:23And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it. And Moses saith unto Jehovah, `The people [is] unable to come up unto mount Sinai, for Thou Thou hast protested to us, saying, Make a border [for] the mount, then thou hast sanctified it.`And Moses said to Jehovah, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai; for thou hast testified to us, saying, Set bounds about the mountain, and hallow it.
Exodus 19:24And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them. And Jehovah saith unto him, `Go, descend, then thou hast come up, thou, and Aaron with thee; and the priests and the people do not break through, to come up unto Jehovah, lest He break forth upon them.`And Jehovah said to him, Go, descend, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee; but the priests and the people shall not break through to go up to Jehovah, lest he break forth on them.
Exodus 19:25So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them. And Moses goeth down unto the people, and saith unto them:So Moses went down to the people, and told them.
