Mark 1:1The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; A beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ, Son of God.Beginning of the glad tidings of Jesus Christ, Son of God;
Mark 1:2As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. As it hath been written in the prophets, `Lo, I send My messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee,`as it is written in [Isaiah] the prophet, Behold, *I* send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way.
Mark 1:3The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. `A voice of one calling in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, straight make ye his paths,`Voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of [the] Lord, make his paths straight.
Mark 1:4John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. John came baptizing in the wilderness, and proclaiming a baptism of reformation to remission of sins,There came John baptising in the wilderness, and preaching [the] baptism of repentance for remission of sins.
Mark 1:5And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins. and there were going forth to him all the region of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and they were all baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.And there went out to him all the district of Judaea, and all they of Jerusalem, and were baptised by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
Mark 1:6And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey; And John was clothed with camel`s hair, and a girdle of skin around his loins, and eating locusts and honey of the field,And John was clothed in camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins, and ate locusts and wild honey.
Mark 1:7And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. and he proclaimed, saying, `He doth come who is mightier than I after me, of whom I am not worthy having stooped down -- to loose the latchet of his sandals;And he preached, saying, There comes he that is mightier than I after me, the thong of whose sandals I am not fit to stoop down and unloose.
Mark 1:8I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. I indeed did baptize you with water, but he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit.`*I* indeed have baptised you with water, but *he* shall baptise you with [the] Holy Spirit.
Mark 1:9And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And it came to pass in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John at the Jordan;And it came to pass in those days [that] Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptised by John at the Jordan.
Mark 1:10And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: and immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens dividing, and the Spirit as a dove coming down upon him;And straightway going up from the water, he saw the heavens parting asunder, and the Spirit, as a dove, descending upon him.
Mark 1:11And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. and a voice came out of the heavens, `Thou art My Son the Beloved, in whom I did delight.`And there came a voice out of the heavens: *Thou* art my beloved Son, in thee I have found my delight.
Mark 1:12And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness. And immediately doth the Spirit put him forth to the wilderness,And immediately the Spirit drives him out into the wilderness.
Mark 1:13And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him. and he was there in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by the Adversary, and he was with the beasts, and the messengers were ministering to him.And he was in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
Mark 1:14Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And after the delivering up of John, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of the reign of God,But after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom of God,
Mark 1:15And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. and saying `Fulfilled hath been the time, and the reign of God hath come nigh, reform ye, and believe in the good news.`and saying, The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn nigh; repent and believe in the glad tidings.
Mark 1:16Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And, walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew his brother, casting a drag into the sea, for they were fishers,And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew, [Simon's] brother, casting out a net in the sea, for they were fishers.
Mark 1:17And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. and Jesus said to them, `Come ye after me, and I shall make you to become fishers of men;`And Jesus said to them, Come after me, and I will make you become fishers of men;
Mark 1:18And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him. and immediately, having left their nets, they followed him.and straightway leaving their trawl-nets they followed him.
Mark 1:19And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets. And having gone on thence a little, he saw James of Zebedee, and John his brother, and they were in the boat refitting the nets,And going on thence a little, he saw James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, and these [were] in the ship repairing the trawl-nets;
Mark 1:20And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him. and immediately he called them, and, having left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, they went away after him.and straightway he called them; and leaving their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, they went away after him.
Mark 1:21And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And they go on to Capernaum, and immediately, on the sabbaths, having gone into the synagogue, he was teaching,And they go into Capernaum. And straightway on the sabbath he entered into the synagogue and taught.
Mark 1:22And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. and they were astonished at his teaching, for he was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes.And they were astonished at his doctrine, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
Mark 1:23And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,And there was in their synagogue a man [possessed] by an unclean spirit, and he cried out
Mark 1:24Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. saying, `Away! what to us and to thee, Jesus the Nazarene? thou didst come to destroy us; I have known thee who thou art the Holy One of God.`saying, Eh! what have we to do with thee, Jesus, Nazarene? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God.
Mark 1:25And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, `Be silenced, and come forth out of him,`And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace and come out of him.
Mark 1:26And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. and the unclean spirit having torn him, and having cried with a great voice, came forth out of him,And the unclean spirit, having torn him, and uttered a cry with a loud voice, came out of him.
Mark 1:27And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. and they were all amazed, so as to reason among themselves, saying, `What is this? what new teaching [is] this? that with authority also the unclean spirits he commandeth, and they obey him!`And all were amazed, so that they questioned together among themselves, saying, What is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.
Mark 1:28And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee. And the fame of him went forth immediately to all the region, round about, of Galilee.And his fame went out straightway into the whole region of Galilee around.
Mark 1:29And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. And immediately, having come forth out of the synagogue, they went to the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John,And straightway going out of the synagogue, they came with James and John into the house of Simon and Andrew.
Mark 1:30But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. and the mother-in-law of Simon was lying fevered, and immediately they tell him about her,And the mother-in-law of Simon lay in a fever. And straightway they speak to him about her.
Mark 1:31And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. and having come near, he raised her up, having laid hold of her hand, and the fever left her immediately, and she was ministering to them.And he went up to [her] and raised her up, having taken her by the hand, and straightway the fever left her, and she served them.
Mark 1:32And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And evening having come, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all who were ill, and who were demoniacs,But evening being come, when the sun had gone down, they brought to him all that were suffering, and those possessed by demons;
Mark 1:33And all the city was gathered together at the door. and the whole city was gathered together near the door,and the whole city was gathered together at the door.
Mark 1:34And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. and he healed many who were ill of manifold diseases, and many demons he cast forth, and was not suffering the demons to speak, because they knew him.And he healed many suffering from various diseases; and he cast out many demons, and did not suffer the demons to speak because they knew him.
Mark 1:35And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. And very early, it being yet night, having risen, he went forth, and went away to a desert place, and was there praying;And rising in the morning long before day, he went out and went away into a desert place, and there prayed.
Mark 1:36And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. and Simon and those with him went in quest of him,And Simon and those with him went after him:
Mark 1:37And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. and having found him, they say to him, `All do seek thee;`and having found him, they say to him, All seek thee.
Mark 1:38And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth. and he saith to them, `We may go to the next towns, that there also I may preach, for for this I came forth.`And he says to them, Let us go elsewhere into the neighbouring country towns, that I may preach there also, for for this purpose am I come forth.
Mark 1:39And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils. And he was preaching in their synagogues, in all Galilee, and is casting out the demons,And he was preaching in their synagogues in the whole of Galilee, and casting out demons.
Mark 1:40And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. and there doth come to him a leper, calling on him, and kneeling to him, and saying to him `If thou mayest will, thou art able to cleanse me.`And there comes to him a leper, beseeching him, and falling on his knees to him, and saying to him, If thou wilt thou canst cleanse me.
Mark 1:41And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And Jesus having been moved with compassion, having stretched forth the hand, touched him, and saith to him, `I will; be thou cleansed;`But Jesus, moved with compassion, having stretched out his hand, touched him, and says to him, I will, be thou cleansed.
Mark 1:42And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. and he having spoken, immediately the leprosy went away from him, and he was cleansed.And as he spoke straightway the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
Mark 1:43And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; And having sternly charged him, immediately he put him forth,And having sharply charged him, he straightway sent him away,
Mark 1:44And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. and saith to him, `See thou mayest say nothing to any one, but go away, thyself shew to the priest, and bring near for thy cleansing the things Moses directed, for a testimony to them.`and says to him, See thou say nothing to any one, but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.
Mark 1:45But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter. And he, having gone forth, began to proclaim much, and to spread abroad the thing, so that no more he was able openly to enter into the city, but he was without in desert places, and they were coming unto him from every quarter.But he, having gone forth, began to proclaim [it] much, and to spread the matter abroad, so that he could no longer enter openly into the city, but was without in desert places, and they came to him from every side.
