1st-Kings 15:2Three years he reigned in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.Three years reigned he in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom. He reigned three years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Maacha the daughter of Abessalom.
1st-Kings 15:3And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father. And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; and his heart was not perfect with Jehovah his God, as the heart of David his father. And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: end his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.
1st-Kings 15:4Nevertheless, for David's sake the LORD his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:Nevertheless for David's sake did Jehovah his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem; But for David's sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:
1st-Kings 15:5Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.because David did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. Because David had done that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and had not turned aside from any thing that he commanded him, all the days of his life, except the matter of Urias the Hethite.
1st-Kings 15:6And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life. Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life. But there was war between Roboam and Jeroboam all the time of his life.
1st-Kings 15:7Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam. And the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam. And the rest of the words of Abiam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda? And there was war between Abiam and Jeroboam.
1st-Kings 15:8And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. And Abiam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
1st-Kings 15:9And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah. And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Asa to reign over Judah. So in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, reigned Asa king of Juda,
1st-Kings 15:10And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom. And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom. And he reigned one end forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Maacha, the daughter of Abessalom.
1st-Kings 15:11And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father. And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, as did David his father. And Asa did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, as did David his father:
1st-Kings 15:12And he banished the sodomites from the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. And he put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. And he took away the effeminate out of the land, and he removed all the filth of the idols, which his fathers had made.
1st-Kings 15:13And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron. And also Maacah his mother he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and burnt it at the brook Kidron. Moreover he also removed his mother Maacha, from being the princess in the sacrifices of Priapus, and in the grove which she had consecrated to him: and he destroyed her den, and broke in pieces the filthy idol, and burnt it by the torrent Cedron:
1st-Kings 15:14But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days. But the high places were not taken away: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with Jehovah all his days. But the high places he did not take away. Nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with the Lord all his days:
1st-Kings 15:15And he brought the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels. And he brought into the house of Jehovah the things that his father had dedicated, and the things that himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels. And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and he had vowed, into the house of the Lord, silver and gold, and vessels.
1st-Kings 15:16And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. And there was war between Asa, and Baasa king of Israel all their days.
1st-Kings 15:17And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any one to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. And Baasa king of Israel went up against Juda, and built Rama, that no man might go out or come in, of the side of Asa king of Juda.
1st-Kings 15:18Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Ben-hadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants; and king Asa sent them to Ben-hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying, Then Asa took all the silver and gold that remained in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the king's house, and delivered it into the hands of his servants : and sent them to Benadad son of Tabremon the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying:
1st-Kings 15:19There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent to thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.[There is] a league between me and thee, between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: therefore I have sent thee presents of silver and gold: and I desire thee to come, and break thy league with Baasa king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
1st-Kings 15:20So Ben-hadad hearkened to king Asa, and sent the captains of the armies which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-beth-maachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali. And Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-beth-maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali. Benadad hearkening to king Asa, sent the captains of his army against the cities of Israel, and they smote Ahion, and Dan, and Abeldomum Maacha, and all Cenneroth, that is all the land of Nephtali.
1st-Kings 15:21And it came to pass, when Baasha heard of it, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah. And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah. And when Baasa had heard this, he left off building Rama, and returned into Thersa.
1st-Kings 15:22Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built it; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah. Then king Asa made a proclamation unto all Judah; none was exempted: and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built therewith Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah. But king Asa sent word into all Juda, saying: Let no man be excused: and they took away the stones from Rama, and the timber thereof wherewith Baasa had been building, and with them Asa built Gabaa of Benjamin, and Maspha.
1st-Kings 15:23The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet. Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet. But the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his strength, and all that he did and the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
1st-Kings 15:24And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead. And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead. And he slept with his fathers, and was buried with them in the city of David his father. And Josaphat his son reigned in his place.
1st-Kings 15:25And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years. And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah; and he reigned over Israel two years. And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of his father, and in his sins, wherewith he made Israel to sin.
1st-Kings 15:27And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon. And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon. And Baasa the son of Ahias of the house of Issachar, conspired against him, and slew him in Gebbethon, which is a city of the Philistines: for Nadab and all Israel besieged Gebbethon.
1st-Kings 15:28Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead.Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead. So Baasa slew him in the third year of Asa king of Juda, and reigned in his place.
1st-Kings 15:29And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:And it came to pass that, as soon as he was king, he smote all the house of Jeroboam: he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him; according unto the saying of Jehovah, which he spake by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite; And when he was king he cut off all the house of Jeroboam: he left not so much as one soul of his seed, till he had utterly destroyed him, according to the word of the Lord, which he had spoken in the hand of Ahias the Silonite:
1st-Kings 15:30Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation with which he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.for the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and wherewith he made Israel to sin, because of his provocation wherewith he provoked Jehovah, the God of Israel, to anger. Because of the sin of Jeroboam, which he had sinned, and wherewith he had made Israel to sin, and for the offence, wherewith he provoked the Lord the God of Israel.
1st-Kings 15:31Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? But the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
