Acts 24:1And after five days, Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.And after five days the high priest Ananias came down with certain elders, and [with] an orator, one Tertullus; and they informed the governor against Paul. And after five days the high priest Ananias came down, with some of the ancients, and one Tertullus an orator, who went to the governor against Paul.
Acts 24:2And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done to this nation by thy providence,And when he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy much peace, and that by the providence evils are corrected for this nation, And Paul being called for, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying: Whereas through thee we live in much peace, and many things are rectified by thy providence,
Acts 24:3We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness. We accept it always and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thanksgiving.
Acts 24:4Notwithstanding, that I may not be further tedious to thee, I pray thee, that thou wouldst of thy clemency hear us a few words.But, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I entreat thee to hear us of thy clemency a few words. But that I be no further tedious to thee, I desire thee of thy clemency to hear us in few words.
Acts 24:5For we have found this a pestilent man, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ring-leader of the sect of the Nazarenes:For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes: We have found this to be a pestilent man, and raising seditions among all the Jews throughout the world, and author of the sedition of the sect of the Nazarenes.
Acts 24:6Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.who moreover assayed to profane the temple: on whom also we laid hold: [and we would have judged him according to our law.] Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom, we having apprehended, would also have judged according to our law.
Acts 24:7But the chief captain Lysias came and with great violence took him out of our hands,[But the chief captain Lysias came, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,] But Lysias the tribune coming upon us, with great violence took him away out of our hands;
Acts 24:8Commanding his accusers to come to thee: by examining whom, thou thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things of which we accuse him.[commanding his accusers to come before thee.] from whom thou wilt be able, by examining him thyself, to take knowledge of all these things whereof we accuse him. Commanding his accusers to come to thee: of whom thou mayest thyself, by examination, have knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
Acts 24:9And the Jews also assented, saying, that these things were so.And the Jews also joined in the charge, affirming that these things were so. And the Jews also added, and said that these things were so.
Acts 24:10Then Paul, after the governor had beckoned to him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been for many years a judge to this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:And when the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, Paul answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I cheerfully make my defense: Then Paul answered, (the governor making a sign to him to speak:) Knowing that for many years thou hast been judge over this nation, I will with good courage answer for myself.
Acts 24:11That thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem to worship.Seeing that thou canst take knowledge that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem: For thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days, since I went up to adore in Jerusalem:
Acts 24:12And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither exciting the people to sedition, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:and neither in the temple did they find me disputing with any man or stirring up a crowd, nor in the synagogues, nor in the city. And neither in the temple did they find me disputing with any man, or causing any concourse of the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
Acts 24:13Neither can they prove the things of which they now accuse me.Neither can they prove to thee the things whereof they now accuse me. Neither can they prove unto thee the things whereof they now accuse me.
Acts 24:14But this I confess to thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:But this I confess unto thee, that after the Way which they call a sect, so serve I the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets; But this I confess to thee, that according to the way, which they call a heresy, so do I serve the Father and my God, believing all things which are written in the law and the prophets:
Acts 24:15And have hope towards God, which they themselves also allow, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection both of the just and unjust. Having hope in God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection of the just and unjust.
Acts 24:16And in this I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense towards God, and towards men.Herein I also exercise myself to have a conscience void of offence toward God and men always. And herein do I endeavour to have always a conscience without offence toward God, and towards men.

Acts 24:18Upon which certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.amidst which they found me purified in the temple, with no crowd, nor yet with tumult: but [there were] certain Jews from Asia-- In which I was found purified in the temple: neither with multitude, nor with tumult.
Acts 24:19Who ought to have been here before thee, and object if they had aught against me.who ought to have been here before thee, and to make accusation, if they had aught against me. But certain Jews of Asia, who ought to be present before thee, and to accuse, if they had any thing against me:
Acts 24:20Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil-doing in me, while I stood before the council,Or else let these men themselves say what wrong-doing they found when I stood before the council, Or let these men themselves say, if they found in me any iniquity, when standing before the council,
Acts 24:21Except it is for this one voice, that I cried, standing among them, Concerning the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question before you this day. Except it be for this one voice only that I cried, standing among them, Concerning the resurrection of the dead am I judged this day by you.
Acts 24:22And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will determine your matter. And Felix put them off, having most certain knowledge of this way, saying: When Lysias the tribune shall come down, I will hear you.
Acts 24:23And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister, or come to him.And he gave order to the centurion that he should be kept in charge, and should have indulgence; and not to forbid any of his friends to minister unto him. And he commanded a centurion to keep him, and that he should be easy, and that he should not prohibit any of his friends to minister unto him.
Acts 24:24And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.But after certain days, Felix came with Drusilla, his wife, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus. And after some days, Felix, coming with Drusilla his wife, who was a Jew, sent for Paul, and heard of him the faith, that is in Christ Jesus.
Acts 24:25And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, depart for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.And as he reasoned of righteousness, and self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, Go thy way for this time; and when I have a convenient season, I will call thee unto me. And as he treated of justice, and chastity, and of the judgment to come, Felix being terrified, answered: For this time, go thy way: but when I have a convenient time, I will send for thee.
Acts 24:26He hoped also that money would have been given him by Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.He hoped withal that money would be given him of Paul: wherefore also he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him. Hoping also withal, that money should be given him by Paul; for which cause also oftentimes sending for him, he spoke with him.
Acts 24:27But after two years Porcius Festus came as successor to Felix: and Felix willing to show the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds. But when two years were ended, Felix had for successor Portius Festus. And Felix being willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
