Matthew 28:1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary to see the sepulcher.Now late on the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. After the Sabbath, in the early dawn of the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary came to see the sepulchre.
Matthew 28:2And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it. But to their amazement there had been a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord had descended from Heaven, and had come and rolled back the stone, and was sitting upon it.
Matthew 28:3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow: His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.
Matthew 28:4And for fear of him the keepers trembled and became as dead men.and for fear of him the watchers did quake, and became as dead men. For fear of him the guards trembled violently, and became like dead men.
Matthew 28:5And the angel answered and said to the women, Fear ye not: for I know that ye seek Jesus, who was crucified.And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus, who hath been crucified. But the angel said to the women, "As for you, dismiss your fears. I know that it is Jesus that you are looking for the crucified One.
Matthew 28:6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. He is not here: He has come back to life, as He foretold. Come and see the place where He lay.
Matthew 28:7And go quickly, and tell his disciples, that he is risen from the dead, and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.And go quickly, and tell his disciples, He is risen from the dead; and lo, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead and is going before you into Galilee: there you shall see Him. Remember, I have told you."
Matthew 28:8And they departed quickly from the sepulcher, with fear and great joy; and ran to bring word to his disciples.And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word. They quickly left the tomb and ran, still terrified but full of unspeakable joy, to carry the news to His disciples.
Matthew 28:9And as they were going to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came, and held him by the feet, and worshiped him.And behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and took hold of his feet, and worshipped him. And then suddenly they saw Jesus coming to meet them. "Peace be to you," He said. And they came and clasped His feet, bowing to the ground before Him.
Matthew 28:10Then said Jesus to them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren, that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.Then saith Jesus unto them, Fear not: go tell my brethren that they depart into Galilee, and there shall they see me. Then He said, "Dismiss all fear! Go and take word to my brethren to go into Galilee, and there they shall see me."
Matthew 28:11Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and showed to the chief priests all the things that had been done.Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city, and told unto the chief priests all the things that were come to pass. While they went on this errand, some of the guards came into the city and reported to the High Priests every detail of what had happened.
Matthew 28:12And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave much money unto the soldiers, So the latter held a conference with the Elders, and after consultation with them they heavily bribed the soldiers,

Matthew 28:14And if this shall come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and rid you of care. "And if this," they added, "is reported to the Governor, we will satisfy him and screen you from punishment."
Matthew 28:15So they took the money, and did as they were instructed: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying was spread abroad among the Jews, [and continueth] until this day. So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this story was noised about among the Jews, and is current to this day.

As for the eleven disciples, they proceeded into Galilee, to the hill where Jesus had arranged to meet them.

Matthew 28:18And Jesus came, and spoke to them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and upon earth.And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth. Jesus however came near and said to them, "All power in Heaven and over the earth has been given to me.
Matthew 28:19Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations; baptize them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
Matthew 28:20Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. and teach them to obey every command which I have given you. And remember, I am with you always, day by day, until the Close of the Age."
