Matthew 11:1And it came to pass when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.And it came to pass when Jesus had finished commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and preach in their cities. Matthew 11:3And said to him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?and said unto him, Art thou he that cometh, or look we for another? and said to him, "Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?"

Matthew 11:6And blessed is he to whom I shall not be the cause of his falling into sin.And blessed is he, whosoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me. Blessed is he, whoever finds no occasion for stumbling in me."
Matthew 11:7And as they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? a reed shaken with the wind?And as these went their way, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to behold? a reed shaken with the wind? Matthew 11:8But what went ye out to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.But what went ye out to see? a man clothed in soft [raiment]? Behold, they that wear soft [raiment] are in king's houses. But what did you go out to see? A man in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in king's houses.
Matthew 11:9But what went ye out to see? A prophet? yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.But wherefore went ye out? to see a prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. But why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.
Matthew 11:10For this is he concerning whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way before thee. For this is he, of whom it is written, 'Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.'
Matthew 11:11Verily, I say to you, among them that are born of women, there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding, he that is least in the kingdom of heaven, is greater than he.Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not arisen a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Most assuredly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he.
Matthew 11:12And from the days of John the Baptist, until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and men of violence take it by force. From the days of John the Baptizer until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

Matthew 11:14And if ye will receive it, this is Elijah who was to come.And if ye are willing to receive [it,] this is Elijah, that is to come. If you are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, who is to come.

Matthew 11:16But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like to children sitting in the markets, and calling to their fellows,But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the marketplaces, who call unto their fellows "But what will I compare this generation to? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces, who call to their companions
Matthew 11:17And saying, We have piped to you, and ye have not danced; We have mourned to you, and ye have not lamented.and say, We piped unto you, and ye did not dance; we wailed, and ye did not mourn. and say, 'We played the flute for you, and you didn't dance. We mourned for you, and you didn't lament.'
Matthew 11:18For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a demon.For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a demon. For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.'
Matthew 11:19The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, a man gluttonous, and a wine-bibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified by her children.The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, a gluttonous man and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! And wisdom is justified by her works. The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' But wisdom is justified by her children."
Matthew 11:20Then he began to upbraid the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they repented not.Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not. Then he began to denounce the cities in which most of his mighty works were done, because they didn't repent.
Matthew 11:21Woe to thee, Chorazin; woe to thee, Bethsaida: for if the mighty works which have been done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
Matthew 11:22But I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.But I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.
Matthew 11:23And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt go down unto Hades: for if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in thee, it would have remained until this day. You, Capernaum, who are exalted to Heaven, you will go down to Hades. For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until this day.
Matthew 11:24But I say to you, that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom, in the day of judgment, than for thee.But I say unto you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee. But I tell you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom, in the day of judgment, than for you."
Matthew 11:25At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes.At that season Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: At that time, Jesus answered, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants.
Matthew 11:26Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight.yea, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.
Matthew 11:27All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth the Son, save the Father; neither doth any know the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son willeth to reveal [him.] All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and he to whoever the Son wants to reveal him.
Matthew 11:28Come to me, all ye that labor, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me: for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest to your souls.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Take my yoke on you, and learn from me, for I am humble and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
