John 7:1After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him. After this, Jesus went from place to place in Galilee. He did not go about in Judaea, because the Jews were looking for a chance to put him to death. After these things, Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
John 7:2Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand. But the feast of the Jews, the feast of tents, was near. Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was at hand.
John 7:3His brethren therefore said to him, Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. So his brothers said to him, Go away from here into Judaea so that your disciples may see the works which you do.His brothers therefore said to him, "Depart from here, and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works which you do.
John 7:4For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou doest these things, show thyself to the world.Because no man does things secretly if he has a desire that men may have knowledge of him. If you do these things, let yourself be seen by all men.For no man does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world."
John 7:5(For neither did his brethren believe in him.)For even his brothers had no belief in him.For even his brothers didn't believe in him.
John 7:6Then Jesus said to them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready.Jesus said to them, My time is still to come, but any time is good for you.Jesus therefore said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
John 7:7The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify concerning it, that its works are evil.It is not possible for you to be hated by the world; but I am hated by it, because I give witness that what it does is evil. The world can't hate you, but it hates me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil.
John 7:8Go ye up to this feast: I go not yet to this feast, for my time is not yet full come.Go you up to the feast: I am not going up now to the feast because my time has not fully come. You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled."
John 7:9When he had said these words to them, he abode still in Galilee.Having said these things to them, he still kept in Galilee.Having said these things to them, he stayed in Galilee.
John 7:10But when his brethren had gone up, then he went also to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. But after his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he went up, not publicly, but in secret. But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
John 7:11Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?At the feast the Jews were looking for him and saying, Where is he?The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, "Where is he?"
John 7:12And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, No; but he deceiveth the people. And there was much discussion about him among the mass of the people. Some said, He is a good man; but others said, No, he is giving people false ideas. There was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him. Some said, "He is a good man." Others said, "Not so, but he leads the multitude astray."
John 7:13Yet, no man spoke openly of him, for fear of the Jews. But no man said anything about him openly for fear of the Jews.Yet no one spoke openly of him for fear of the Jews.
John 7:14Now about the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. Now in the middle of the feast Jesus went up to the Temple and was teaching. But when it was now the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
John 7:15And the Jews marveled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? Then the Jews were surprised and said, How has this man got knowledge of books? He has never been to school. The Jews therefore marveled, saying, "How does this man know letters, having never been educated?"
John 7:16Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.Jesus gave them this answer: It is not my teaching, but his who sent me.Jesus therefore answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.
John 7:17If any man will do his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God, or whether I speak from myself. If any man is ready to do God's pleasure he will have knowledge of the teaching and of where it comes from from God or from myself. If anyone desires to do his will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is from God, or if I speak from myself.
John 7:18He that speaketh from himself, seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.The man whose words come from himself is looking for glory for himself, but he who is looking for the glory of him who sent him that man is true and there is no evil in him.He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
John 7:19Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?Did not Moses give you the law? Even so, not one of you keeps the law. Why have you a desire to put me to death?Didn't Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?"
John 7:20The people answered and said, Thou hast a demon: who goeth about to kill thee? The people said in answer, You have an evil spirit: who has any desire to put you to death? The multitude answered, "You have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?"
John 7:21Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. This was the answer of Jesus: I have done one work and you are all surprised at it.Jesus answered them, "I did one work, and you all marvel because of it.
John 7:22Moses therefore gave to you circumcision, (not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers) and ye on the sabbath circumcise a man.Moses gave you circumcision not that it comes from Moses, but from the fathers and even on the Sabbath you give a child circumcision.Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.
John 7:23If a man on the sabbath receiveth circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have restored a man to sound health on the sabbath? If a child is given circumcision on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath? If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me, because I made a man every bit whole on the Sabbath?

John 7:26But lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing to him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? And here he is talking openly and they say nothing to him! Is it possible that the rulers have knowledge that this is truly the Christ?Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?
John 7:27But we know this man, whence he is: whereas when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.However, it is clear to us where this man comes from: but when the Christ comes no one will have knowledge where he comes from. However we know where this man comes from, but when the Christ comes, no one will know where he comes from."
John 7:28Then cried Jesus in the temple, as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. Then, when he was teaching in the Temple, Jesus said with a loud voice, You have knowledge of me and you have knowledge of where I come from; and I have not come of myself; but there is One who has sent me; he is true, but you have no knowledge of him.Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, "You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don't know.
John 7:29But I know him; for I am from him, and he hath sent me.I have knowledge of him because I came from him and he sent me.I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me."
John 7:30Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. Then they had a desire to take him: but no man put hands on him because his hour was still to come. They sought therefore to take him. No one laid a hand on him, because his hour was not yet come.
John 7:31And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done? And numbers of the people had belief in him, and they said, When the Christ comes will he do more signs than this man has done? But of the multitude, many believed in him. They said, "When the Christ comes, will he do more signs than those which this man has done?"
John 7:32The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him: and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him. This discussion of the people came to the ears of the Pharisees; and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent servants to take him.The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to take him.
John 7:33Then said Jesus to them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go to him that sent me.Then Jesus said, I will be with you a little longer and then I go to him who sent me.Then Jesus said, "Yet a little while, am I with you, then I go to him who sent me.
John 7:34Ye will seek me, and will not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. You will be looking for me, and you will not see me: and where I am you may not come. You will seek me, and won't find me; and where I am, you can't come."
John 7:35Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go to the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? So the Jews said among themselves, To what place is he going where we will not see him? will he go to the Jews living among the Greeks and become the teacher of the Greeks? The Jews therefore said among themselves, "Where will this man go that we won't find him? Will he go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
John 7:36What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye will seek me, and will not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come? What is this saying of his, You will be looking for me and will not see me, and where I am you may not come? What is this word that he said, 'You will seek me, and won't find me; and where I am, you can't come?'"
John 7:37In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirsteth, let him come to me, and drink. On the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus got up and said in a loud voice, If any man is in need of drink let him come to me and I will give it to him.Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!
John 7:38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. He who has faith in me, out of his body, as the Writings have said, will come rivers of living water. He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water."
John 7:39(But this he spoke of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive, for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)This he said of the Spirit which would be given to those who had faith in him: the Spirit had not been given then, because the glory of Jesus was still to come. But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn't yet glorified.
John 7:40Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, In truth this is the Prophet. When these words came to their ears, some of the people said, This is certainly the prophet. Many of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, "This is truly the prophet."
John 7:41Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Will Christ come out of Galilee?Others said, This is the Christ. But others said, Not so; will the Christ come from Galilee?Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "What, does the Christ come out of Galilee?
John 7:42Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh from the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?Do not the Writings say that the Christ comes of the seed of David and from Beth-lehem, the little town where David was?Hasn't the scripture said that the Christ comes of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"
John 7:43So there was a division among the people because of him.So there was a division among the people because of him.So there arose a division in the multitude because of him.

John 7:46The officers answered, Never man spoke like this man.The servants made answer, No man ever said things like this man.The officers answered, "No man ever spoke like this man!"
John 7:47Then the Pharisees answered them, Are ye also deceived? Then the Pharisees said to them, Have you, like the others, been given false ideas? The Pharisees therefore answered them, "Are you also led astray?
John 7:48Have any of the rulers, or of the Pharisees believed on him?Have any of the rulers belief in him, or any one of the Pharisees?Has any of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?
John 7:49But this people who know not the law are cursed. But these people who have no knowledge of the law are cursed. But this cursed multitude doesn't know the law."

John 7:51Doth our law judge any man before it heareth him, and knoweth what he doeth? Is a man judged by our law before it has given him a hearing and has knowledge of what he has done?"Does our law judge a man, unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?"
John 7:52They answered and said to him, Art thou also from Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. This was their answer: And do you come from Galilee? Make search and you will see that no prophet comes out of Galilee. They answered him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee."
John 7:53And every man went to his own house.[And every man went to his house;Everyone went to his own house,
