Acts 10:1There was a certain man in Cesarea, called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,But a certain man in Caesarea, by name Cornelius, a centurion of the band called Italic,And there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of that which is called the Italian band;
Acts 10:2A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, who gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.pious, and fearing God with all his house, [both] giving much alms to the people, and supplicating God continually,A religious man, and fearing God with all his house, giving much alms to the people, and always praying to God.
Acts 10:3He saw in a vision evidently, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying to him, Cornelius.saw plainly in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming unto him, and saying to him, Cornelius.This man saw in a vision manifestly, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in unto him, and saying to him: Cornelius.
Acts 10:4And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Thy prayers and thy alms are come up for a memorial before God.But he, having fixed his eyes upon him, and become full of fear, said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Thy prayers and thine alms have gone up for a memorial before God.And he, beholding him, being seized with fear, said: What is it, Lord? And he said to him: Thy prayers and thy alms are ascended for a memorial in the sight of God.
Acts 10:5And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:And now send men to Joppa and fetch Simon, who is surnamed Peter.And now send men to Joppe, and call hither one Simon, who is surnamed Peter:
Acts 10:6He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea-side: he will tell thee what thou oughtest to do.He lodges with a certain Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea.He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side. He will tell thee what thou must do.
Acts 10:7And when the angel who spoke to Cornelius had departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;And when the angel who was speaking to him had departed, having called two of his household and a pious soldier of those who were constantly with him,And when the angel who spoke to him was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a soldier who feared the Lord, of them that were under him.
Acts 10:8And when he had declared all these things to them, he sent them to Joppa.and related all things to them, he sent them to Joppa.To whom when he had related all, he sent them to Joppe.
Acts 10:9On the morrow, as they were going on their journey, and drew nigh to the city, Peter went up upon the house-top to pray, about the sixth hour:And on the morrow, as these were journeying and drawing near to the city, Peter went up on the house to pray, about the sixth hour.And on the next day, whilst they were going on their journey, and drawing nigh to the city, Peter went up to the higher parts of the house to pray, about the sixth hour.
Acts 10:10And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,And he became hungry and desired to eat. But as they were making ready an ecstasy came upon him:And being hungry, he was desirous to taste somewhat. And as they were preparing, there came upon him an ecstasy of mind.
Acts 10:11And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending to him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:and he beholds the heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending, as a great sheet, [bound] by [the] four corners [and] let down to the earth;And he saw the heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending, as it were a great linen sheet let down by the four corners from heaven to the earth:
Acts 10:12In which were all manner of four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping animals, and fowls of the air.in which were all the quadrupeds and creeping things of the earth, and the fowls of the heaven.Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts, and creeping things of the earth, and fowls of the air.
Acts 10:13And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.And there was a voice to him, Rise, Peter, slay and eat.And there came a voice to him: Arise, Peter; kill and eat.
Acts 10:14But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.And Peter said, In no wise, Lord; for I have never eaten anything common or unclean.But Peter said: Far be it from me; for I never did eat any thing that is common and unclean.
Acts 10:15And the voice spoke to him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.And [there was] a voice again the second time to him, What God has cleansed, do not *thou* make common.And the voice spoke to him again the second time: That which God hath cleansed, do not thou call common.
Acts 10:16This was done thrice: and the vessel was received again into heaven.And this took place thrice, and the vessel was straightway taken up into heaven.And this was done thrice; and presently the vessel was taken up into heaven.
Acts 10:17Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men who were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house, and were standing before the gate,And as Peter doubted in himself what the vision which he had seen might mean, behold also the men who were sent by Cornelius, having sought out the house of Simon, stood at the gate,Now, whilst Peter was doubting within himself, what the vision that he had seen should mean, behold the men who were sent from Cornelius, inquiring for Simon's house, stood at the gate.
Acts 10:18And called, and asked whether Simon, who was surnamed Peter, lodged there.and having called [some one], they inquired if Simon who was surnamed Peter was lodged there.And when they had called, they asked, if Simon, who is surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
Acts 10:19While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, three men seek thee.But as Peter continued pondering over the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, three men seek thee;And as Peter was thinking of the vision, the Spirit said to him: Behold three men seek thee.
Acts 10:20Arise therefore, and go down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.but rise up, go down, and go with them, nothing doubting, because *I* have sent them.Arise, therefore, get thee down and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
Acts 10:21Then Peter went down to the men who were sent to him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause for which ye have come?And Peter going down to the men said, Behold, *I* am he whom ye seek: what is the cause for which ye come?Then Peter, going down to the men, said: Behold, I am he whom you seek; what is the cause for which you are come?
Acts 10:22And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by a holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words from thee.And they said, Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man, and fearing God, and borne witness to by the whole nation of the Jews, has been divinely instructed by a holy angel to send for thee to his house, and hear words from thee.Who said: Cornelius, a centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and having good testimony from all the nation of the Jews, received an answer of an holy angel, to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
Acts 10:23Then he called them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.Having therefore invited them in, he lodged them. And on the morrow, rising up he went away with them, and certain of the brethren from Joppa went with him.Then bringing them in, he lodged them. And the day following he arose, and went with them: and some of the brethren from Joppe accompanied him.
Acts 10:24And on the morrow they entered into Cesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.And on the morrow they came to Caesarea. But Cornelius was looking for them, having called together his kinsmen and [his] intimate friends.And the morrow after, he entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, having called together his kinsmen and special friends.
Acts 10:25And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshiped him.And when Peter was now coming in, Cornelius met him, and falling down did [him] homage.And it came to pass, that when Peter was come in, Cornelius came to meet him, Cornelius came to meet him, and falling at his feet adored.
Acts 10:26But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up: I myself also am a man.But Peter made him rise, saying, Rise up: *I* myself also am a man.But Peter lifted him up, saying: Arise, I myself also am a man.
Acts 10:27And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that had come together.And he went in, talking with him, and found many gathered together.And talking with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
Acts 10:28And he said to them, Ye know that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come to one of another nation; but God hath shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.And he said to them, *Ye* know how it is unlawful for a Jew to be joined or come to one of a strange race, and to *me* God has shewn to call no man common or unclean.And he said to them: You know how abominable it is for a man that is a Jew, to keep company or to come unto one of another nation: but God hath shewed to me, to call no man common or unclean.
Acts 10:29Therefore I came to you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?Wherefore also, having been sent for, I came without saying anything against it. I inquire therefore for what reason ye have sent for me.For which cause, making no doubt, I came when I was sent for. I ask, therefore, for what cause you have sent for me?
Acts 10:30And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,And Cornelius said, Four days ago I had been [fasting] unto this hour, and the ninth [I was] praying in my house, and lo, a man stood before me in bright clothing,And Cornelius said: Four days ago, unto this hour, I was praying in my house, at the ninth hour, and behold a man stood before me in white apparel, and said:
Acts 10:31And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thy alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.and said, Cornelius, thy prayer has been heard, and thy alms have come in remembrance before God.Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thy alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
Acts 10:32Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he lodgeth in the house of one Simon a tanner, by the sea-side: who, when he cometh, will speak to thee.Send therefore to Joppa and fetch Simon, who is surnamed Peter; he lodges in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea [who when he is come will speak to thee].Send therefore to Joppe, and call hither Simon, who is surnamed Peter: he lodgeth in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea side.
Acts 10:33Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou hast come. Now therefore we are all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee from God.Immediately therefore I sent to thee, and *thou* hast well done in coming. Now therefore *we* are all present before God to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.Immediately therefore I sent to thee: and thou hast done well in coming. Now therefore all we are present in thy sight, to hear all things whatsoever are commanded thee by the Lord.
Acts 10:34Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, In truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:And Peter opening his mouth said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons,And Peter opening his mouth, said: In very deed I perceive, that God is not a respecter of persons.
Acts 10:35But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.but in every nation he that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.But in every nation, he that feareth him, and worketh justice, is acceptable to him.
Acts 10:36The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)The word which he sent to the sons of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ, (*he* is Lord of all things,)God sent the word to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all.)
Acts 10:37That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;*ye* know; the testimony which has spread through the whole of Judaea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preachedYou know the word which hath been published through all Judea: for it began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached,
Acts 10:38That God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.Jesus who [was] of Nazareth: how God anointed him with [the] Holy Spirit and with power; who went through [all quarters] doing good, and healing all that were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.Jesus of Nazareth: how God anointed him with the Holy Ghost, and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Acts 10:39And we are witnesses of all things which he did, both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree.*We* also [are] witnesses of all things which he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom they also slew, having hanged him on a cross.And we are witnesses of all things that he did in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed, hanging him upon a tree.
Acts 10:40Him God raised the third day, and showed him openly;This [man] God raised up the third day and gave him to be openly seen,Him God raised up the third day, and gave him to be made manifest,
Acts 10:41Not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.not of all the people, but of witnesses who were chosen before of God, *us* who have eaten and drunk with him after he arose from among [the] dead.Not to all the people, but to witnesses preordained by God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he arose again from the dead;
Acts 10:42And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is he who was ordained by God to be the Judge of the living and the dead.And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that *he* it is who was determinately appointed of God [to be] judge of living and dead.And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is he who was appointed by God, to be judge of the living and of the dead.

Acts 10:45And they of the circumcision who believed, were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit.And the faithful of the circumcision were astonished, as many as came with Peter, that upon the nations also the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out:And the faithful of the circumcision, who came with Peter, were astonished, for that the grace of the Holy Ghost was poured out upon the Gentiles also.
Acts 10:46For they heard them speak in languages and magnify God. Then answered Peter,for they heard them speaking with tongues and magnifying God. Then Peter answered,For they heard them speaking with tongues, and magnifying God.
Acts 10:47Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?Can any one forbid water that these should not be baptised, who have received the Holy Spirit as we also [did]?Then Peter answered: Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Ghost, as well as we?
Acts 10:48And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they requested him to tarry certain days.And he commanded them to be baptised in the name of the Lord. Then they begged him to stay some days.And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they desired him to tarry with them some days.
