Luke 22:1Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.Now the feast of unleavened bread, which [is] called the passover, drew nigh,Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the pasch, was at hand.

Luke 22:8And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare for us the passover, that we may eat.And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat [it].And he sent Peter and John, saying: Go, and prepare for us the pasch, that we may eat.
Luke 22:9And they said to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?But they said to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare [it]?But they said: Where wilt thou that we prepare?
Luke 22:10And he said to them, Behold, when ye have entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth.And he said to them, Behold, as ye enter into the city a man will meet you, carrying an earthen pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he goes in;And he said to them: Behold, as you go into the city, there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him into the house where he entereth in.
Luke 22:11And ye shall say to the master of the house, The Master saith to thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?and ye shall say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to thee, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the passover with my disciples?And you shall say to the goodman of the house: The master saith to thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples?
Luke 22:12And he will show you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.And *he* will shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.And he will shew you a large dining room, furnished; and there prepare.
Luke 22:13And they went and found as he had said to them: and they made ready the passover.And having gone they found it as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover.And they going, found as he had said to them, and made ready the pasch.
Luke 22:14And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.And when the hour was come, he placed himself at table, and the [twelve] apostles with him.And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
Luke 22:15And he said to them, I have earnestly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer.And he said to them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer.And he said to them: With desire I have desired to eat this pasch with you, before I suffer.
Luke 22:16For I say to you, I will not any more eat of it until it shall be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.For I say unto you, that I will not eat any more at all of it until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.For I say to you, that from this time I will not eat it, till it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
Luke 22:17And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves.And having received a cup, when he had given thanks he said, Take this and divide it among yourselves.And having taken the chalice, he gave thanks, and said: Take, and divide it among you:
Luke 22:18For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.For I say unto you, that I will not drink at all of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God come.For I say to you, that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God come.
Luke 22:19And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.And having taken a loaf, when he had given thanks, he broke [it], and gave [it] to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.And taking bread, he gave thanks, and brake; and gave to them, saying: This is my body, which is given for you. Do this for a commemoration of me.
Luke 22:20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.In like manner also the cup, after having supped, saying, This cup [is] the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.In like manner the chalice also, after he had supped, saying: This is the chalice, the new testament in my blood, which shall be shed for you.
Luke 22:21But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.Moreover, behold, the hand of him that delivers me up [is] with me on the table;But yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.
Luke 22:22And truly the Son of man goeth as it was determined: but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!and the Son of man indeed goes as it is determined, but woe unto that man by whom he is delivered up.And the Son of man indeed goeth, according to that which is determined: but yet, woe to that man by whom he shall be betrayed.
Luke 22:23And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.And *they* began to question together among themselves who then it could be of them who was about to do this.And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
Luke 22:24And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.And there was also a strife among them which of them should be held to be [the] greatest.And there was also a strife amongst them, which of them should seem to be the greater.
Luke 22:25And he said to them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them, are called benefactors.And he said to them, The kings of the nations rule over them, and they that exercise authority over them are called benefactors.And he said to them: The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and they that have power over them, are called beneficent.
Luke 22:26But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.But *ye* [shall] not [be] thus; but let the greater among you be as the younger, and the leader as he that serves.But you not so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is the leader, as he that serveth.
Luke 22:27For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at table? but I am among you as he that serveth.For which [is] greater, he that is at table or he that serves? [Is] not he that is at table? But *I* am in the midst of you as the one that serves.For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? Is it not he that sitteth at table? But I am in the midst of you, as he that serveth:
Luke 22:28Ye are they who have continued with me in my temptations.But *ye* are they who have persevered with me in my temptations.And you are they who have continued with me in my temptations:
Luke 22:29And I appoint to you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed to me;And *I* appoint unto you, as my Father has appointed unto me, a kingdom,And I dispose to you, as my Father hath disposed to me, a kingdom;
Luke 22:30That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.That you may eat and drink at my table, in my kingdom: and may sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Luke 22:31And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to have you, to sift [you] as wheat;And the Lord said: Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
Luke 22:32But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.but *I* have besought for thee that thy faith fail not; and *thou*, when once thou hast been restored, confirm thy brethren.But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren.
Luke 22:33And he said to him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee both into prison, and to death.And he said to him, Lord, with thee I am ready to go both to prison and to death.Who said to him: Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
Luke 22:34And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock will not crow this day, before thou wilt thrice deny that thou knowest me.And he said, I tell thee, Peter, [the] cock shall not crow to-day before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.And he said: I say to thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, till thou thrice deniest that thou knowest me. And he said to them:
Luke 22:35And he said to them, When I sent you without purse, and sack, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.And he said to them, When I sent you without purse and scrip and sandals, did ye lack anything? And they said, Nothing.When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, did you want anything?
Luke 22:36Then said he to them, But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his sack: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.He said therefore to them, But now he that has a purse let him take [it], in like manner also a scrip, and he that has none let him sell his garment and buy a sword;But they said: Nothing. Then said he unto them: But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a scrip; and he that hath not, let him sell his coat, and buy a sword.
Luke 22:37For I say to you, that this which is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.for I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned with [the] lawless: for also the things concerning me have an end.For I say to you, that this that is written must yet be fulfilled in me: And with the wicked was he reckoned. For the things concerning me have an end.
Luke 22:38And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said to them, It is enough.And they said, Lord, behold here are two swords. And he said to them, It is enough.But they said: Lord, behold here are two swords. And he said to them, It is enough.
Luke 22:39And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.And going forth he went according to his custom to the mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed him.And going out, he went, according to his custom, to the mount of Olives. And his disciples also followed him.
Luke 22:40And when he was at the place, he said to them, Pray, that ye enter not into temptation.And when he was at the place he said to them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.And when he was come to the place, he said to them: Pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
Luke 22:41And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed.And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and having knelt down he prayed,And he was withdrawn away from them a stone's cast; and kneeling down, he prayed,
Luke 22:42Saying, Father, if thou art willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.saying, Father, if thou wilt remove this cup from me: but then, not my will, but thine be done.Saying: Father, if thou wilt, remove this chalice from me: but yet not my will, but thine be done.
Luke 22:43And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him.And an angel appeared to him from heaven strengthening him.And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony, he prayed the longer.
Luke 22:44And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground.And being in conflict he prayed more intently. And his sweat became as great drops of blood, falling down upon the earth.And his sweat became as drops of blood, trickling down upon the ground.
Luke 22:45And when he arose from prayer, and had come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow:And rising up from his prayer, coming to the disciples, he found them sleeping from grief.And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow.
Luke 22:46And said to them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.And he said to them, Why sleep ye? rise up and pray that ye enter not into temptation.And he said to them: Why sleep you? arise, pray, lest you enter into temptation.
Luke 22:47And while he was yet speaking, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near to Jesus to kiss him.As he was yet speaking, behold, a crowd, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went on before them, and drew near to Jesus to kiss him.As he was yet speaking, behold a multitude; and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near to Jesus, for to kiss him.
Luke 22:48But Jesus said to him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?And Jesus said to him, Judas, deliverest thou up the Son of man with a kiss?And Jesus said to him: Judas, dost thou betray the Son of man with a kiss?
Luke 22:49When they who were about him, saw what would follow, they said to him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?And they who were around him, seeing what was going to follow, said [to him], Lord, shall we smite with [the] sword?And they that were about him, seeing what would follow, said to him: Lord, shall we strike with the sword?
Luke 22:50And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.And a certain one from among them smote the bondman of the high priest and took off his right ear.And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
Luke 22:51And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.And Jesus answering said, Suffer thus far; and having touched his ear, he healed him.But Jesus answering, said: Suffer ye thus far. And when he had touched his ear, he healed him.
Luke 22:52Then Jesus said to the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders who had come to him, Are ye come out as against a thief, with swords and staffs?And Jesus said to the chief priests and captains of the temple and elders, who were come against him, Have ye come out as against a robber with swords and sticks?And Jesus said to the chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and the ancients, that were come unto him: Are ye come out, as it were against a thief, with swords and clubs?
Luke 22:53When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.When I was day by day with you in the temple ye did not stretch out your hands against me; but this is your hour and the power of darkness.When I was daily with you in the temple, you did not stretch forth your hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
Luke 22:54Then they took him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed at a distance.And having laid hold on him, they led him [away], and they led [him] into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed afar off.And apprehending him, they led him to the high priest's house. But Peter followed afar off.
Luke 22:55And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.And they having lit a fire in the midst of the court and sat down together, Peter sat among them.And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were sitting about it, Peter was in the midst of them.
Luke 22:56But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.And a certain maid, having seen him sitting by the light, and having fixed her eyes upon him, said, And this [man] was with him.Whom when a certain servant maid had seen sitting at the light, and had earnestly beheld him, she said: This man also was with him.
Luke 22:57And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.But he denied [him], saying, Woman, I do not know him.But he denied him, saying: Woman, I know him not.
Luke 22:58And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.And after a short time another seeing him said, And *thou* art of them. But Peter said, Man, I am not.And after a little while, another seeing him, said: Thou also art one of them. But Peter said: O man, I am not.
Luke 22:59And about the space of one hour after, another confidently affirmed, saying, In truth this man also was with him; for he is a Galilean.And after the lapse of about one hour another stoutly maintained it, saying, In truth this [man] also was with him, for also he is a Galilaean.And after the space, as it were of one hour, another certain man affirmed, saying: Of a truth, this man was also with him; for he is also a Galilean.
Luke 22:60And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, the cock crowed.And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, [the] cock crew.And Peter said: Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, as he was yet speaking, the cock crew.
Luke 22:61And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, Before the cock shall crow, thou wilt deny me thrice.And the Lord, turning round, looked at Peter; and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he said to him, Before [the] cock crow thou shalt deny me thrice.And the Lord turning looked on Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, as he had said: Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Luke 22:62And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.And Peter, going forth without, wept bitterly.And Peter going out, wept bitterly.
Luke 22:63And the men that held Jesus, mocked him, and smote him.And the men who held him mocked him, beating [him];And the men that held him, mocked him, and struck him.
Luke 22:64And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?and covering him up, asked him saying, Prophesy, who is it that struck thee?And they blindfolded him, and smote his face. And they asked him, saying: Prophesy, who is it that struck thee?
Luke 22:65And many other things blasphemously they spoke against him.And they said many other injurious things to him.And blaspheming, many other things they said against him.
Luke 22:66And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people, and the chief priests, and the scribes came together, and led him into their council,And when it was day, the elderhood of the people, both [the] chief priests and scribes, were gathered together, and led him into their council, saying,And as soon as it was day, the ancients of the people, and the chief priests and scribes, cane together; and they brought him into their council, saying: If thou be the Christ, tell us.
Luke 22:67Saying, Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said to them, If I tell you, ye will not believe.If *thou* art the Christ, tell us. And he said to them, If I tell you, ye will not at all believe;And he saith to them: If I shall tell you, you will not believe me.
Luke 22:68And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.and if I should ask [you], ye would not answer me at all, nor let me go;And if I shall also ask you, you will not answer me, nor let me go.
Luke 22:69Hereafter will the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.but henceforth shall the Son of man be sitting on the right hand of the power of God.But hereafter the Son of man shall be sitting on the right hand of the power of God.
Luke 22:70Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said to them, Ye say that I am.And they all said, *Thou* then art the Son of God? And he said to them, *Ye* say that I am.Then said they all: Art thou then the Son of God? Who said: You say that I am.
Luke 22:71And they said, What need have we of any further testimony? for we ourselves have heard from his own mouth.And they said, What need have we any more of witness, for we have heard ourselves out of his mouth?And they said: What need we any further testimony? for we ourselves have heard it from his own mouth.
