Mark 16:1And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalen, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought sweet spices, that coming, they might anoint Jesus. When the Sabbath was over, Mary of Magdala, Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, in order to come and anoint His body.
Mark 16:2And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came to the sepulcher at the rising of the sun:And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they come to the sepulchre, the sun being now risen.So, very soon after sunrise on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb;
Mark 16:3And they said among themselves, Who shall roll away for us the stone from the door of the sepulcher? And they said one to another: Who shall roll us back the stone from the door of the sepulchre?and they were saying to one another, `Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?"
Mark 16:4(And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away) for it was very great. And looking, they saw the stone rolled back. For it was very great. But then, looking up, they saw that the stone was already rolled back: for it was of immense size.
Mark 16:5And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were frightened. And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed with a white robe: and they were astonished.Upon entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at their right hand, clothed in a long white robe. They were astonished and terrified.
Mark 16:6And he saith to them, Be not frightened: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him:Who saith to them: Be not affrighted; you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen, he is not here, behold the place where they laid him.But he said to them, "Do not be terrified. It is Jesus you are looking for the Nazarene who has been crucified. He has come back to life: He is not here: this is the place where they laid Him.
Mark 16:7But go, tell his disciples and Peter, that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said to you.But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee; there you shall see him, as he told you.But go and tell His disciples and Peter that He is going before you into Galilee: and that there you will see Him, as He told you."
Mark 16:8And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulcher; for they trembled, and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid. But they going out, fled from the sepulchre. For a trembling and fear had seized them: and they said nothing to any man; for they were afraid. So they came out, and fled from the tomb, for they were greatly agitated and surprised; and they said not a word to any one, for they were afraid.
Mark 16:9Now when Jesus was risen early, the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons. But he rising early the first day of the week, appeared first to Mary Magdalen, out of whom he had cast seven devils.[But He rose to life early on the first day of the week, and appeared first to Mary of Magdala from whom He had expelled seven demons.
Mark 16:10And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. She went and told them that had been with him, who were mourning and weeping. She went and brought the tidings to those who had been with Him, as they were mourning and weeping.
Mark 16:11And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, believed not.And they hearing that he was alive, and had been seen by her, did not believe. But they, when they were told that He was alive and that she had seen Him, could not believe it.
Mark 16:12After that, he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking and going into the country. And after that he appeared in another shape to two of them walking, as they were going into the country.Afterwards He showed Himself in another form to two of them as they were walking, on their way into the country.
Mark 16:13And they went and told it to the residue: neither believed they them. And they going told it to the rest: neither did they believe them. These, again, went and told the news to the rest; but not even them did they believe.
Mark 16:14Afterward he appeared to the eleven, as they sat at table, and upbraided them with their unbelief, and hardness of heart, because they believed not them who had seen him after he was risen. At length he appeared to the eleven as they were at table: and he upbraided them with their incredulity and hardness of heart, because they did not believe them who had seen him after he was risen again.Later still He showed Himself to the Eleven themselves whilst they were at table, and He upbraided them with their unbelief and obstinacy in not having believed those who had seen Him alive.
Mark 16:15And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. And he said to them: Go ye into the whole world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Then He said to them, "Go the whole world over, and proclaim the Good News to all mankind.
Mark 16:16He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned. He who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
Mark 16:17And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak in new languages; And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name they shall cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues. And signs shall attend those who believe, even such as these. By making use of my name they shall expel demons. They shall speak new languages.
Mark 16:18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. They shall take up serpents; and if they shall drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them: they shall lay their hands upon the sick, and they shall recover. They shall take up venomous snakes, and if they drink any deadly poison it shall do them no harm whatever. They shall lay their hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover."
Mark 16:19So then after the Lord had spoken to them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.And the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God.So the Lord Jesus after having thus spoken to them was taken up into Heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
Mark 16:20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. But they going forth preached every where: the Lord working withal, and confirming the word with signs that followed. But they went out and made proclamation everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming their Message by the signs which accompanied it.]
