Romans 6:1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?What shall we say, then? shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?What will we say then? Will we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Romans 6:2By no means: how shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?God forbid. For we that are dead to sin, how shall we live any longer therein?Certainly not! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
Romans 6:3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ, were baptized into his death?Know you not that all we, who are baptized in Christ Jesus, are baptized in his death?Or don't you know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Romans 6:4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.For we are buried together with him by baptism into death; that as Christ is risen from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also may walk in newness of life.We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;
Romans 6:6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin may be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin may be destroyed, to the end that we may serve sin no longer.knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
Romans 6:7For he that is dead is freed from sin.For he that is dead is justified from sin.For he who has died has been freed from sin.
Romans 6:8Now if we are dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live also together with Christ:But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him;
Romans 6:9Knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.Knowing that Christ rising again from the dead, dieth now no more, death shall no more have dominion over him.knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him!
Romans 6:10For in that he died, he died to sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth to God.For in that he died to sin, he died once; but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God:For the death that he died, he died to sin once; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
Romans 6:11Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.So do you also reckon, that you are dead to sin, but alive unto God, in Christ Jesus our Lord.Thus also consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts of it.Let no sin therefore reign in your mortal body, so as to obey the lusts thereof.Therefore don't let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
Romans 6:13Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin: but yield yourselves to God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God:Neither yield ye your members as instruments of iniquity unto sin; but present yourselves to God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of justice unto God.Neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
Romans 6:14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.For sin shall not have dominion over you; for you are not under the law, but under grace.For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.
Romans 6:15What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? By no means.What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.What then? Will we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? Certainly not!
Romans 6:16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants in obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are whom you obey, whether it be of sin unto death, or of obedience unto justice.Don't you know that to whom you present yourselves as servants to obedience, his servants you are whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
Romans 6:17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin; but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.But thanks be to God, that you were the servants of sin, but have obeyed from the heart, unto that form of doctrine, into which you have been delivered.But thanks be to God, that, whereas you were servants of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto you were delivered.
Romans 6:18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.Being then freed from sin, we have been made servants of justice.Being made free from sin, you became servants of righteousness.
Romans 6:19I speak after the manner of men, because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity, to (work) iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness, to (work) holiness.I speak an human thing, because of the infirmity of your flesh. For as you have yielded your members to serve uncleanness and iniquity, unto iniquity; so now yield your members to serve justice, unto sanctification.I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh, for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.
Romans 6:20For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.For when you were the servants of sin, you were free men to justice.For when you were servants of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
Romans 6:21What fruit had ye then in those things of which ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.What fruit therefore had you then in those things, of which you are now ashamed? For the end of them is death.What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
Romans 6:22But now being made free from sin, and having become servants to God, ye have your fruit to holiness, and the end everlasting life.But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end life everlasting.But now, being made free from sin, and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification, and the result of eternal life.
Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.For the wages of sin is death. But the grace of God, life everlasting, in Christ Jesus our Lord.For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
