Acts 15:1 | And certain men who came down from Judea, taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. | But certain persons who had come down from Judaea tried to convince the brethren, saying, "Unless you are circumcised in accordance with the Mosaic custom, you cannot be saved." | And certain persons, having come down from Judaea, taught the brethren, If ye shall not have been circumcised according to the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved. |
Acts 15:2 | When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of them, should go to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question. | Between these new comers and Paul and Barnabas there was no little disagreement and controversy, until at last it was decided that Paul and Barnabas and some other brethren should go up to consult the Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem on this matter. | A commotion therefore having taken place, and no small discussion on the part of Paul and Barnabas against them, they arranged that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others from amongst them, should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question. |
Acts 15:3 | And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice, and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy to all the brethren. | So they set out, being accompanied for a short distance by some other members of the Church; and as they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, they told the whole story of the conversion of the Gentiles and inspired all the brethren with great joy. | They therefore, having been set on their way by the assembly, passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, relating the conversion of [those of] the nations. And they caused great joy to all the brethren. |
Acts 15:4 | And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church, and by the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them. | Upon their arrival in Jerusalem they were cordially received by the Church, the Apostles, and the Elders; and they reported in detail all that God, working with them, had done. | And being arrived at Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly, and the apostles, and the elders, and related all that God had wrought with them. |
Acts 15:5 | But there rose certain of the sect of the Pharisees, who believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. | But certain men who had belonged to the sect of the Pharisees but were now believers, stood up in the assembly, and said, "Yes, Gentile believers ought to be circumcised and be ordered to keep the Law of Moses." | And some of those who were of the sect of the Pharisees, who believed, rose up from among [them], saying that they ought to circumcise them and enjoin them to keep the law of Moses. |

Acts 15:7 | And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose and said to them, Men, brethren, ye know that a good while ago, God made choice among us, that the Gentiles, by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. | and after there had been a long discussion Peter rose to his feet. "It is within your own knowledge," he said, "that God originally made choice among you that from my lips the Gentiles were to hear the Message of the Good News, and believe. | And much discussion having taken place, Peter, standing up, said to them, Brethren, *ye* know that from the earliest days God amongst you chose that the nations by my mouth should hear the word of the glad tidings and believe. |
Acts 15:8 | And God, who knoweth the hearts, bore them witness, giving to them the Holy Spirit, even as he did to us: | And God, who knows all hearts, gave His testimony in their favour by bestowing the Holy Spirit on them just as He did on us; | And the heart-knowing God bore them witness, giving [them] the Holy Spirit as to us also, |

Acts 15:24 | Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain who went out from us, have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law; to whom we gave no such commandment: | As we have been informed that certain persons who have gone out from among us have disturbed you by their teaching and have unsettled your minds, without having received any such instructions from us; | Inasmuch as we have heard that some who went out from amongst us have troubled you by words, upsetting your souls, [saying that ye must be circumcised and keep the law]; to whom we gave no commandment; |
Acts 15:25 | It seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul: | we have unanimously decided to select certain men and send them to you in company with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul, | it seemed good to us, having arrived at a common judgment, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, |

Acts 15:37 | And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. | Barnabas, however, was bent on taking with them John, whose other name was Mark, | And Barnabas proposed to take with [them] John also, called Mark; |
Acts 15:38 | But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. | while Paul deemed it undesirable to have as their companion one who had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not gone on with them to the work. | but Paul thought it not well to take with them him who had abandoned them, [going back] from Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work. |
Acts 15:39 | And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed, separating one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed to Cyprus. | So there arose a serious disagreement between them, which resulted in their parting from one another, Barnabas taking Mark and setting sail for Cyprus. | There arose therefore very warm feeling, so that they separated from one another; and Barnabas taking Mark sailed away to Cyprus; |
