Matthew 10:1And when he had called to him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness, and all manner of disease.Then He called to Him His twelve disciples and gave them authority over foul spirits, to drive them out; and to cure every kind of disease and infirmity.And having called to [him] his twelve disciples, he gave them power over unclean spirits, so that they should cast them out, and heal every disease and every bodily weakness.
Matthew 10:2Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;Now the names of the twelve Apostles were these: first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James the son of Zabdi, and his brother John;Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother;
Matthew 10:3Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alpheus, and Lebbeus, whose surname was Thaddeus;Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax-gatherer, James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax-gatherer; James the [son] of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, who was surnamed Thaddaeus;
Matthew 10:4Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.Simon the Cananaean, and Judas the Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.Simon the Cananaean, and Judas the Iscariote, who also delivered him up.
Matthew 10:5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and enter ye not into any city of the Samaritans.These twelve Jesus sent on a mission, after giving them their instructions: "Go not," He said, "among the Gentiles, and enter no Samaritan town;These twelve Jesus sent out when he had charged them, saying, Go not off into [the] way of [the] nations, and into a city of Samaritans enter ye not;
Matthew 10:6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.but, instead of that, go to the lost sheep of Israel's race.but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 10:7And as ye go, proclaim, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.And as you go, preach and say, `The Kingdom of the Heavens is close at hand.'And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of the heavens has drawn nigh.
Matthew 10:8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons: freely ye have received, freely give.Cure the sick, raise the dead to life, cleanse lepers, drive out demons: you have received without payment, give without payment.Heal [the] infirm, [raise the dead], cleanse lepers, cast out demons: ye have received gratuitously, give gratuitously.
Matthew 10:9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;"Provide no gold, nor even silver nor copper to carry in your pockets;Do not provide yourselves with gold, or silver, or brass, for your belts,
Matthew 10:10Nor bag for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor a staff: for the workman is worthy of his food.no bag for your journey, nor change of linen, nor shoes, nor stick; for the labourer deserves his food.nor scrip for the way, nor two body coats, nor sandals, nor a staff: for the workman is worthy of his nourishment.
Matthew 10:11And into whatever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and there abide till ye go thence."Whatever town or village you enter, inquire for some good man; and make his house your home till you leave the place.But into whatsoever city or village ye enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and there remain till ye go forth.
Matthew 10:12And when ye come into a house, salute it.When you enter the house, salute it;And as ye enter into a house salute it.
Matthew 10:13And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.and if the house deserves it, the peace you invoke shall come upon it. If not, your peace shall return to you.And if the house indeed be worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
Matthew 10:14And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart from that house, or city, shake off the dust of your feet.And whoever refuses to receive you or even to listen to your Message, as you leave that house or town, shake off the very dust from your feet.And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, as ye go forth out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Matthew 10:15Verily, I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah, in the day of judgment, than for that city.I solemnly tell you that it will be more endurable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of Judgement than for that town.Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in judgment-day than for that city.
Matthew 10:16Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."Remember it is I who am sending you out, as sheep into the midst of wolves; prove yourselves as sagacious as serpents, and as innocent as doves.Behold, *I* send you as sheep in the midst of wolves; be therefore prudent as the serpents, and guileless as the doves.
Matthew 10:17But beware of men: for they will deliver you to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues.But beware of men; for they will deliver you up to appear before Sanhedrins, and will flog you in their synagogues;But beware of men; for they will deliver you up to sanhedrims, and scourge you in their synagogues;
Matthew 10:18And ye will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.and you will even be put on trial before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness to them and to the Gentiles.and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
Matthew 10:19But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak, for it shall be given to you in that same hour what ye shall speak.But when they have delivered you up, have no anxiety as to how you shall speak or what you shall say; for at that very time it shall be given you what to say;But when they deliver you up, be not careful how or what ye shall speak; for it shall be given to you in that hour what ye shall speak.
Matthew 10:20For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.for it is not you who will speak: it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.For *ye* are not the speakers, but the Spirit of your Father which speaks in you.
Matthew 10:21And the brother will deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children will rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.Brother will betray brother to death, and father, child; and children will rise against their own parents and will put them to death.But brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father child; and children shall rise up against parents and shall put them to death;
Matthew 10:22And ye will be hated by all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.And you will be objects of universal hatred because you are called by my name; but he who holds out to the End he will be saved.and ye shall be hated of all on account of my name. But he that has endured to [the] end, *he* shall be saved.
Matthew 10:23But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say to you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel till the Son of man shall have come.Whenever they persecute you in one town, escape to the next; for I solemnly tell you that you will not have gone the round of all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.But when they persecute you in this city, flee to the other; for verily I say to you, Ye shall not have completed the cities of Israel until the Son of man be come.
Matthew 10:24The disciple is not above his teacher, nor the servant above his lord."The learner is never superior to his teacher, and the servant is never superior to his master.The disciple is not above his teacher, nor the bondman above his lord.
Matthew 10:25It is enough for the disciple that he should be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord: if they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call them of his household?Enough for the learner to be on a level with his teacher, and for the servant to be on a level with his master. If they have called the master of the house Baal-zebul, how much more will they slander his servants?[It is] sufficient for the disciple that he should become as his teacher, and the bondman as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household?
Matthew 10:26Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.Fear them not, however; there is nothing veiled which will not be uncovered, nor secret which will not become known.Fear them not therefore; for there is nothing covered which shall not be revealed, and secret which shall not be known.
Matthew 10:27What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that publish ye upon the house-tops.What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what is whispered into your ear, proclaim upon the roofs of the houses.What I say to you in darkness speak in the light, and what ye hear in the ear preach upon the houses.
Matthew 10:28And fear not them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."And do not fear those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.And be not afraid of those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul; but fear rather him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 10:29Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father.Do not two sparrows sell for a halfpenny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's leave.Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall to the ground without your Father;
Matthew 10:30But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.But as for you, the very hairs on your heads are all numbered.but of you even the hairs of the head are all numbered.
Matthew 10:31Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.Away then with fear; you are more precious than a multitude of sparrows.Fear not therefore; *ye* are better than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:32Whoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven."Every man who acknowledges me before men I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in Heaven.Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, *I* also will confess him before my Father who is in [the] heavens.
Matthew 10:33But whoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.But whoever disowns me before men I also will disown before my Father who is in Heaven.But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will *I* also deny before my Father who is in [the] heavens.
Matthew 10:34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."Do not suppose that I came to bring peace to the earth: I did not come to bring peace but a sword.Do not think that I have come to send peace upon the earth: I have not come to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.For I came to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;For I have come to set a man at variance with his father, and the daughter with her mother, and the daughter-in-law with her mother-in-law;
Matthew 10:36And a man's foes will be they of his own household.and a man's own family will be his foes.and they of his household [shall be] a man's enemies.
Matthew 10:37He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me.Any one who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and any one who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;He who loves father or mother above me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter above me is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth me, is not worthy of me.and any one who does not take up his cross and follow where I lead is not worthy of me.And he who does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake, shall find it.To save your life is to lose it, and to lose your life for my sake is to save it.He that finds his life shall lose it, and he who has lost his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 10:40He that receiveth you, receiveth me, and he that receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me."Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives Him who sent me.He that receives you receives me, and he that receives me receives him that sent me.
Matthew 10:41He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, shall receive a righteous man's reward.Every one who receives a prophet, because he is a prophet, will receive a prophet's reward, and every one who receives a righteous man, because he is a righteous man, will receive a righteous man's reward.He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, shall receive a righteous man's reward.
Matthew 10:42And whoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones, a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily, I say to you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink because he is a disciple, I solemnly tell you that he will not lose his reward."And whosoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold [water] only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
