| Revelation 3:1 | And to the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name, that thou livest, and art dead. | "To the minister of the Church at Sardis write as follows: "`This is what He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars says. I know your doings you are supposed to be alive, but in reality you are dead. | "And to the angel of the assembly in Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars says these things: "I know your works, that you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. |
| Revelation 3:2 | Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. | Rouse yourself and keep awake, and strengthen those things which remain but have well-nigh perished; for I have found no doings of yours free from imperfection in the sight of My God. | Wake up, and establish the things that remain, which were ready to die, for I have found no works of yours perfected before my God. |
