| Matthew 2:1 | Now, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, | Now after the birth of Jesus, which took place at Bethlehem in Judaea in the reign of King Herod, excitement was produced in Jerusalem by the arrival of certain Magi from the east, | And Jesus having been born in Beth-Lehem of Judea, in the days of Herod the king, lo, mages from the east came to Jerusalem, |
| Matthew 2:2 | Saying, Where is he that is born king of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and have come to worship him. | inquiring, "Where is the newly born king of the Jews?
