Luke 18:1 | And he spoke a parable to them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; | He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up, | And he spoke also a parable to them, that we ought always to pray, and not to faint, |
Luke 18:2 | Saying, There was in a city a judge, who feared not God, neither regarded man. | saying, "A certain judge was in a city, who didn't fear God, and didn't respect man. | Saying: There was a judge in a certain city, who feared not God, nor regarded man. |
Luke 18:3 | And there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of my adversary. | A widow was in that city, and she came often to him, saying, 'Defend me from my adversary!' | And there was a certain widow in that city, and she came to him, saying: Avenge me of my adversary. |

Luke 18:5 | Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. | yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.'" | Yet because this widow is troublesome to me, I will avenge her, lest continually coming she weary me. |

Luke 18:9 | And he spoke this parable to certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: | He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others. | And to some who trusted in themselves as just, and despised others, he spoke also this parable: |
